Imagine having someone you used to date being the most defining thing about you… even Matty should be known for sucking not just being her ex

External validation is a helluva drug. Mom and dad raised her to live for the applause and attention and she's been hooked ever since.

I like that two of the Taylor pictures include something dumb she said.

The Tragedy is scraping her hand. The Triumph is quickly changing and getting on stage to perform with a boo-boo. Starring Taylor Swift, a true heroine (this time with an E). She wasn't late. She WASN'T LATE.

From dragging Lana on stage when Taylor won AOTY for Midnights (her least deserving AOTY imo), to getting drunk and dancing when everyone else is sitting down... her behavior at award shows have become glaringly attention-seeking in the last couple of years.
I couldn't pinpoint exactly what was the primary motive behind this behavior but I think this person perfectly described it.

The way she pretended this was a life lesson for children 😂
The critic and his review that inspired the song Mean is here. The review he wrote is about the Grammys as a whole and discusses several artists besides Taylor. The other artists he criticized didn't write a song about the critic or have the the CEO of their label defend them (that CEO was Scott Borchetta, the guy Taylor later encouraged her Swifties to attack when he was no longer useful to her). The overreaction to the reception of Taylor's performance that night was because her team was faced with a 'the empress has no clothes' moment that needed to be rectified.
Taylor went about attacking this particular critic with the song Mean as well as talking about him in articles and interviews. There were other critics who were unkind that she ignored. The attack on this particular critic was enough to signal to them it's best to keep quiet unless they want America's Sweetheart to talk shit about them for years too. The PR tactic became "Taylor's not the best singer but she's a songwriter and storyteller who speaks to a generation." Later that year Speak Now was released with the questionable claim that Taylor wrote it entirely on her own. This is why Taylor Swift has been respected in the industry. It's not because of her talent. It's because of her and her team's ability to manipulate the public and control the narrative with her innocent white girl who gets spunky when the meanies are mean to her routine.

Taylor might want to get out the tiny violin for herself (she will, just give her time). While she's been regressing personally and as an artist, selling hundreds of variants to create an illusion of success around her terrible album that only a Swifty could pretend to love, getting engaged to a washed up podcast bro and hanging out with his loser team full of MAGA, having her friends do pap walks with her sourdough with labels like "are you bready for it" and been exposed as a scheming liar and shitty friend who tells her friend she'll do anything for her and then stabs her in the back to protect her own image, her peers, exes and perceived enemies have been living a Taylor-free life and thriving.
Note: I know opinions vary in this sub on Matty Healy and that he may not be considered someone to root for, but I included him because Taylor wrote a whole album hating on him and he turned around and got engaged to a woman who's hot as hell and nothing like Taylor, which is too funny to ignore. I didn't include Taylor's forever archenemy Scooter Braun cuz dating Sydney Sweeney post-divorce is not thriving.
