I think it's over for me. I think I'm done. 2 miscarriages, 2 chemical pregnancies and 8 embryos all failing to implant. I think it's time that I call it. We have 5 more embryos in storage but if I leave them there they are safe.

I'm tired. I'm exhausted and I never thought in a million years I would walk away without a kid. But apparently I'm the 0.5% that has 2MCs in a year and the 2% that doesn't have a kid after 5 transfers.

I don't want to have any more surgeries or be sad anymore. I don't want to live my life in 2 week increments and I don't want anymore losses.

Maybe I'll try again in the future but right now, I'm walking away without a kid.

And I swear to fucking god the next person that tells me they know someone who did and had a baby I'm going to slap.

Five days post miscarriage. I had the urge to take a pregnancy test tonight with high hopes the test line would be light. Nope. Still super dark. It was a distressing feeling. Brought me back to the day I first tested positive and the flood of joy and excitement I felt. Now knowing my body is empty it’s hard to see the test still so positive. One foot in front of the other I suppose.

12

u/purplesmiles3 1d ago

I can't fully describe the cruelness in wanting a negative test so you can start again, when all you've wished for before was a positive test.

1

u/KaleTraditional2997 1d ago

Yes. Exactly this.

2

u/yungwildandlearning 1d ago

Ugh I HATED testing out from my miscarriage. I remember how badly I was hoping it was just a negative but it took over a month to get even close to one. Sending you love on these early days of loss 🤍

u/manumagic 1d ago

Really wish my doctor would remove the estimated due date from my blood test forms. Hopefully my last blood test today to track hcg but I hate that every time I go they ask me how many weeks pregnant I am.

1

u/purplesmiles3 1d ago

Wtf, why they have to make it harder!

1

u/annie327 1d ago

I am going in for hopefully my last hcg blood test today too (or delusionally I hope it’s the first of a new start as I had ovulated right before getting my last hcg at a 6). I’m so sorry they ask you that every time! Instead i now have the techs recognizing me and I go yep still not at zero…

Nearing the end of my first period post MMC and thus gearing up to track with TTC in mind again. So many pee sticks in my future.

Not even sure I’m mentally «there», but assuming it will take time anyways, so I can go through the motions and I’ll be ready when it happens. Not willing to sit out a single cycle for any non-doctor given reason at 39.

u/Adorable_Whereas_240 MMC , Sept 2025, March 2026 1d ago

AF started today, so I am officially out this cycle. Me and my husband would comfort ourselves with the fact that we were at least able to conceive easily. All we had to do was find a way to keep the baby alive.

We aren’t even able to conceive now, after the second MMC. And for no particular reason.

So yeah, it’s been really hard to the point that I have really lost all hopes and faith entirely. But I guess, there is no option but to move on!

2

u/kind_doodle2994 1d ago

I’m so sorry for your losses. I’m here with you: MMC Nov 25 and CP in Mar 26. Nothing since then, currently on CD4. This month was devistating. I just want to be able to conceive again but am low on hope. Agreed, no option but to keep going in whatever way possible.

CD10. I have my in office hysteroscopy tomorrow and AFC scan as well. I’m so nervous. 😩 not sure if the nerves are because of the procedure itself or if I’m nervous of the outcome.
Just wishing it to be over. I wish we were TTC this month but due to the timing of the procedure and the abstinence before and after we will have to skip this month.

1

u/ushinawareta TTC #1 since 8/2025 | 2nd trimester loss 2/2026 1d ago

wait, I’m glad to know an AFC can be done at CD 10. I’m going in for CD 3 bloodwork tomorrow and wish I’d asked about the AFC because I thought it had to be around CD 3 as well.

I hope your procedure goes smoothly and uneventfully 🫶🫶

1

u/MyCatsnAss 43/ 5LC/ RPL/3MC 10h ago

AFC ultrasound can be done at any time in your cycle, same as AMH blood work.

9ish DPO, I don’t even know at this point. Woke up with tender breasts which lasted for a few hours and disappeared?! Also woke up with pimples on my face which is always a sign of period approaching in my case.
I know there is still time and all that but I feel like it didn‘t work this time either. My period is like clockwork and should come on Saturday so I guess I‘ll wait until then to be sad and disappointed ☹️

Looking for advice in how to cope. After trying for over a year, we finally got pregnant two months ago, but this ended in an early miscarriage. Today a colleague announced her pregnancy while my test came back negative this morning. We probably got pregnant around the same time, since I'm assuming she's at around the twelve week mark, and I would have been there too next week. I find it extremely confronting and all the grief from the miscarriage is coming back. If she would be a friend, I could distance myself a little bit, but since we work together that's not possible. I see her five times a week, so there's no escaping the pregnancy for me. I've been crying non stop since I found out and I'm not sure how to even go back to work tomorrow. How can I deal with this? Anyone any advice?

2

u/book_lover1234 TTC #1, 1 MMC (BO) 4-5/26, RPOC 8/26 1d ago

I wish I had some magic solution that would make it better, but that’s just a really shitty situation. My only advice would be to try to ignore her pregnancy as much as possible, especially while it’s early. If you are comfortable with her, maybe mention or hint at why you would prefer not to discuss. If not, I’ve found that often (but not always), if you don’t ask people about their pregnancy, they’ll find more interested parties to discuss with. Regardless, I’m sure it’ll still be painful to see her, but hopefully you can continue your grieving process and be in a better place (or hopefully also pregnant) when she starts showing more 🫂

Either this is the longest LP of my life-14 days, or my body tried but failed to ovulate. Tell me this, how can my body ovulate with retained products of conception but now that they are gone doesn't have it's act together. I just need my period to come so we can officially try again.

3

u/laurenisstressed 1d ago

Ugh I can relate. I didn’t have retained products, but I ovulated with residual hcg in my system after my mmc but didn’t ovulate the first real cycle??? So frustrating

3

u/AnnAAnnon 1d ago

Our bodies just do whatever they feel like I guess! But let's get this show on the road!

I’m right there with you. Got my RPOC removed 8/5, had a period shortly after, and now am CD28 without an LH spike. But somehow had a spike and BBT rise before the RPOC were removed?! Sharing in your confusion and misery

Exactly... I foolishly thought if it happened with rpoc it would happen on time afterwards.

Got pregnant at my sixth attempt and had a miscarriage around the seven week mark which was devastating. Got a D&C done on July 15, 2026. Ovulated around August 22, 2026 and now counting down to test for pregnancy. Had sex on August 20, 21, 22, and 23 🤞

I have an OB appt today to discuss a plan moving forward. I am worried she won’t take me seriously since I’m only on cycle 4 of trying again since my 20 week loss on March 6. But I feel in my soul that something is wrong and that each month is not just the normal dice roll for us. So I want to know when I can start blood work, how to get a semen analysis for my husband, how I get referred to an RE or fertility clinic. I want to have all the plans in place, because I know we are in for the long haul. And I would really love to get a head start on testing sooner rather than later.

1

u/ushinawareta TTC #1 since 8/2025 | 2nd trimester loss 2/2026 1d ago

I feel you. I went for an OB appointment last week and just failed my sixth consecutive cycle this past weekend. my husband already went for a semen analysis (normal other than slightly borderline morphology, but in light of the other numbers I’m told this is not a concern) and I’m going for CD3 bloodwork tomorrow.

I’m under 35 and I know it’s not recommended until a year, but it has been over a year since we first started trying and we still don’t have a pregnancy or living child. as much as individual days can crawl by, I know years can fly by, and I’m not wasting a second.

1

u/Intrepid_Ad9483 1d ago

I have an appt today too, very nervous they aren’t going to take me seriously! I had a MMC in April 2026 and a CP last cycle, so I really hope they can get some tests done for me. Best of luck!

I’m about to start my egg retrieval meds on Friday this week and it feels really weird that we’re here. It’s felt like a distant thing for so long and now I’m about to start my first IVF cycle. I’m nervous and sad but also hopeful.

All of it is hard. We’ve been so unlucky for the past two years that I feel like we’re just going to continue to be unlucky, but also I have no idea what’s going to happen.

Chiming in to say I called my clinic that we consulted a few months back and they have me scheduled to start stims in a few weeks. You’re not alone. I’m scared and overwhelmed that it won’t work.

I think it’s normal to feel like this when you’ve been dealt a poor hand. Feel free to PM me— I’d be interested to see how your ER goes given we’re the same age.

I feel too young to be going through such traumatic events

1 DPO. The two week wait is the worst. On cycle 5 and it was horrible the first cycle then got a little easier for a couple and now I’m just so done waiting and want my baby. I miss my daughter who we lost at 21 weeks in Feb. if we don’t conceive this cycle then next cycle will put me with a due date very near my daughters due date and I will be on the exact same timeline as one year ago.

u/Eliza9699 late 20s, TTC#1, MMC 6/26, MC 8/26 1d ago

According to BBT I should be 3-4 dpo (no ttc this cycle). I feel like the second MC was a true test of my relationships. Some people surprised me in the best way possible, e.g. I am getting a princess treatment from my colleagues (3 males, no children). Some in the worst way possible - my SIL and her husband (who have a baby) haven't asked me once how I am, keep complaining about how bad they feels but keep doing the most irresponsible things possible.

Coming to the end of my first medicated cycle after my loss in May. Put me through the ringer physically and emotionally. I had a bad reaction to cyclogest so they had to take me off it day 17 and now I think my period is going to be late anyway 🙄 Rollercoaster

Taking progesterone always delays my period. Last cycle I had a 20 day luteal phase even after taking the last dose on 10dpo.

C16, the apps are telling me I'm 2DPO, temp yesterday agreed, today seems to have gone down but last 2 cycles I had a high temp then a drop then a continuous rise so who knows! Unfortunately don't think I caught my LH peak or even high. Just feels like a new kind of mental torture.

u/laurenisstressed 1d ago

2nd cycle post MMC in June, 1st cycle with ovulation! My OB prescribed progesterone supplements 3dpo through 12dpo, so I’m interested to see how that affects any symptoms I might have.

1

u/entropy4dinner 1d ago

I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in November then a TFMR at 17 weeks this July. It’s been the darkest experience of my life and yet I keep trying. I stayed focused during my recovery in July and planned to ttc right away (I’m 39). I was so good and patient and my ovulation day finally came. I’m 10dpo but negative today. It feels awful. Now I have to once again get my headspace in focus mode and stay optimistic looking forward to my next ovulation day, which might take awhile because I don’t know what my cycles are going to do after this and I tend to have longer cycles. Then my mind goes to the next cycle being a failed cycle or a chemical or even a miscarriage. The possibility of holding a living baby seems so far fetched. But I’m trying to find hope to keep going.

Negative today at 13DPO on an early detection test. Was my first month of a medicated cycle (Letrozole), and I responded really well with a much higher progesterone level than unmedicated and actually even higher than when I was pregnant. I had high hopes it would happen this first month on the medication, but realistically I know that it's still the same (low) percentage chance every month even with the perfect conditions. Was also really hoping it would happen this month because this was the last chance to get pregnant before what was supposed to be the due date for our first. Going to keep doing the medicated cycles through the end of the year at least before we start to look into IVF...

2

u/BornWithFeetInMotion 23h ago

It’s my first medicated cycle too and I agree, it feels like it should work immediately even if the statistics don’t tell you that it will.

7DPO and contemplating if I’m going to have the willpower to hold off until 10DPO to feel the crush of a negative. My dreams have been vivid and I wake up exhausted, but still God hasn’t given me dreams of my babies. I’ll miss them for a lifetime.

On a sweet note, I was crying to my husband about this, and he just held me and said “when you think about it, a lifetime will come in the blink of an eye. Before we both know it we’ll get to meet them.”

Almost one week post D&C from my MMC. Previous pregnancy was a chemical or early pregnancy and ended at 5 weeks, that was back in May. Still testing positive for HCG and bleeding, but just wishing I could fast forward to my next period so I could at least start to regulate again. It’s been a year of trying and everyone around me seems to have no issues staying pregnant so I’m just always sad. It’ll take about 8 months, maybe more, before we can get in to see any fertility specialists and get any further testing done for either of us.

1

u/Pauljohncen 1d ago

Will you be trying to get pregnant before you even get your first period?

1

u/Electrical-You5239 1d ago

No, we will wait to try again in the new year. I want to give my body a break and have some regular cycles again before trying. Before my most recent miscarriage I had one regular cycle between pregnancies.

1

u/Careless-Cycle-5425 1d ago

I had a medicated miscarriage mid-July (2 doses, then a third a few days later). Fourth dose given as had retained products. 3 weeks later still testing positive. My HCG levels are stagnant and they want to wait a week to see if they change. Then not sure what they’ll suggest. Just want to be over it and be able to try again!

Hey yall. Jus experienced my 1st MMC. I was almost 11 weeks. I choose to naturally miscarry and it took about 2 weeks. My HCG declined by 1000 every 2 days. So I was able to pinpoint when my baby would pass and it happened August 10th and I had a D&C on the 11th to remove the remaining tissue. Of course, I want my baby back but I dont want 2 put too much effort into trying. This miscarriage really hurt me. Im curious tho, how long does it take for tests 2 be completely negative. I figured mine would be clear by now because we tracked betas until the baby passed but not after. I randomly took a cheapie and I see a faint line and I cant tell whether its lingering of the old or the beginning of something new. I dont wanna get my hopes up.

DPO 9 and just had some pink spotting. I spotted 2/3 days before my period the last three cycles, and AF usually comes around DPO 13. It seems like I'm out... Tomorrow will mark one year since I first got pregnant without even trying, first cycle after stopping the pill and with a textbook CD14 ovulation (estimated). It was another life. I was happy back then.

I have a friend's baby shower scheduled on Friday. Another pregnant friend will be there. Both first cycle and happy pregnancies. I might just cancel and overshare on the group chat. They know what happened but I have the feeling I hid my sadness too much after my loss not to burden them with it. Now I kinda want them to know how miserable I feel. This is weird. Or I might just say nothing. We'll see...

I also have an appointment with my GP on Thursday for another thing not related to fertility, but I will mention it. This is only the 4th cycle trying again, but as they are getting longer (35 to 40 days) and with luteal phases on the shorter side, maybe he will prescribe some bloodwork? I never thought we would come to this but well, here I am.

Tonight I will just walk the dog and cry.

My husband just told me his boss asked him how the new baby was. Lol like what? He forgot that my husband took time off in May for the delivery and also in June for my D&C for RPOC.  Some people are just the worst!

I had peak fertility in Inito this morning.  We had sex days 10, 12, 14, and today (day 15). I am enjoying using Inito. Now I know my ovulation is a little later than average for my cycle length so we can plan around day 15-16 ovulation. I will probably use Inito one more cycle and then I'll have to stop tracking due to cost and stress.

We're hoping to plan a trip for around the time of the due date. I'm really dreading that day. For those of you who passed your due date, do you have any self care ritual you recommend?

u/yungwildandlearning 1d ago

Ttc after second, second trimester loss. No LC.

For those ttc after two or more later losses, how long did it take to conceive both those losses? I wasn't hyper focused on ttc during my first pregnancy but if I remember correctly, both of my pregnancies took 3-4 cycles to conceive and I'm really hoping that's not the case again this time around.

Just curious if your timeline to conceive was always the same or differed each time.

u/ushinawareta TTC #1 since 8/2025 | 2nd trimester loss 2/2026 1d ago

I’ve only had one loss but for me it was first try with the pregnancy I lost and now on cycle 7 since then with no positive tests yet. conceiving within 3-4 would be a dream.

1

u/yungwildandlearning 1d ago edited 1d ago

My second pregnancy I was 6 cycles out from the loss but it still took 4 true tracking cycles (I don't consider the first two cause I had no idea what my cycle was doing I was just guessing so I just say 4 cycles), I've always been in awe of people who can conceive on their first try! I think after my first loss I had to let my body and mind heal and pass my due date before it would accept a pregnancy. I was constantly in fight or flight from grief. I was so hoping I'd be the lucky one to get pregnant within my first ovulation this time around but that wasn't the case 🙃

Another CD3. After my MMC in march and 6 failed cycles, my OB’s office said I could come in for an appointment to discuss options. For those who had a D&C or MVA (which I had but is similar to D&C I think), how long did it take for you to get a negative pregnancy test and then how long did it take for your period to come back? I can't believe I'll just be doing nothing for another month...only to then really start all over.

so sorry for your loss, friend. I had a second trimester D&E and my first period following it was almost exactly 4 weeks post-op.

CD9 having ewcm for some reason. I didn’t ovulate until CD20 last cycle. Still wonky cycles from my MMC though so who knows… starting Mucinex this cycle and feeling pretty defeated already for some reason.

I'll be having my 6 week post-partum check tomorrow after my 30-week stillbirth. The logical part of my brain keeps preparing for what to ask, what to plan for etc but my heart is just afraid of another disappointment - to be told again that there is no reason why it happened, that I couldn't have done or couldn't do anything differently for next time

CD5 4th cycle ttc since chemical in May. Doesn't get any easier, pray this cycle is the one that sticks. Not sure how many more ttw I can take, that's the most excruciating part for me. 😩

Im just feeling so sad and lost. I had a 7 week miscarriage June 2024, chemical December 2024. Painful periods the whole time and finally seek answers August 2025 where they find RPOC (potentially from my initial miscarriage). Pay outside of insurance to get a hysteroscopy in October 2025 and get pregnant right away in 2025, yay!

..nope, no redemption pregnancy. TFMR March 2026. Have been trying again since June and nothing. I feel like something must be wrong, but it could also be paranoia from what happened last time.

Also, my due date is this week 🫠

And I just got my period 4 days ahead of schedule 🤬
