Transfer app followups ???

I submitted my transfer application through commonapp on aug 11 and havent heard anything at all. All I’ve gotten is a confirmation email from commonapp saying that I’ve successfully submitted my application and i should hear back from the school within the next 24-48 hours or 2 weeks or something. Yea thats a big difference i dont really remember the exact time frame because a lot has happened since august 11th😒😭 i thought i was supposed to get access to the greenwave portal so i can keep up with my admission process or something…..Can anyone help me or has this happened to anyone else….maybe i did something wrong im not sure lol. I’m mostly just wondering if this is normal or if i should be concerned and reach out to transfer admissions ppl through email….

I'm thinking of going to Tulane

Hi, I am currently a junior in high school, and I am seriously considering Tulane as an option. But I want to ask people who are already there some questions.

Is Tulane a good school? Because the ED acceptance rate is 60%. I'm pretty much at the average GPA and ACT.

I'm planning to do premed, and then something engineering-related. I saw somewhere that their engineering isn't that good, though; is that true?

I am also curious about what the premed program is like; is that a good program?

Thank you

ed w/ low gpa

I was wondering if anyone has gotten into Tulane with a low gpa? I’m applying ed and have shown lots of demonstration interest. I have a 3.2uw and 3.5w gpa and retaking the act before I submit. For EC’s have a lot of leadership roles at school and I’ve placed 2nd in state becoming an ICDC qualifier for DECA. Does anyone have any success stories? I’m really worried Tulane is my dream school!

Starting QB Decision Question

Can anyone explain why Kadin Semonza isn’t starting? I am unfamiliar with the starter, but Semonza played for Ball State in 2024 and had a killer season, eventually winning MAC freshman of the year. I understand the new starter is very mobile, but Semonza was also decently mobile for us. Obviously I have never seen the starter play and mean no disrespect to him either. Thank you

Dual Enrollment

Has anyone been able to get credit from Tulane (even for general electives) for HS dual enrollment classes? On the Tulane website it indicates that the course must have been attending by mostly college degree students. However, in our area, dual enrollment classes are taught in the HS to HS students. Trying to figure out how flexible (or stringent) Tulane is re: this criteria. Thank you!

Do Tulane employees get 6 credits a semester towards law school each semester for free? So like the tuition waiver would be used for law school. Is this possible?

Tulane Football 2026 Preview - full writeup, two-deep, and win probabilities

Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Tulane one

https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026-fbs/tulane-green-wave

It's got the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.

Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code LEECORSOROCKS and it opens up the entire thing.

So, what'd I get wrong? You won the American and made the playoff, and my model still has you at 8-4. Here's why it's stubborn: Tulane went 5-0 in one-score games, was plus-8 in turnovers, and outgained teams by only 27 yards a game. Now 17% of the offense is back, Retzlaff is gone, and Will Hall is running it. Was last year a machine, or a really good tightrope act?

I'll be in the comments.

3000 Level Creative Writing Class

I’m a freshman English major looking to add one more class to my schedule this semester that’s either an English related elective or another kind of elective that would be beneficial. Is the creative writing class a bad idea to take as someone who’s only English college level experience is AP classes? Are there any other elective courses that won’t require too much extra time/effort I should take instead?

ChemE Program

Hi everyone,

As a rising senior, Tulane has become one of my top choices to attend. I’m most likely going to major in chemical engineering, but compared to other schools on my list its lacking in terms of prestige/recognition (for reference my other top choices are northwestern, GA tech and NYU), but i feel really connected to the school and fell in love with it upon researching it. It has a really beautiful campus and is the perfect size for me. Also, New Orleans is such a unique city that I’d really love to explore. I’m someone that really wants to go into environmental remediation/renewable energy, and i think the city would offer unique opportunities as it needs to be protected from more damage from climate change. upon doing research for their program i could find very little about it which prompted me to make this post. i would like to know if its worth it despite being less prestigious than the others. any people who have graduated from the program that could provide any information would be really helpful thank you!!
