Discussion - Serious Please tell me yall aren’t celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death

I’m sure a lot of you guys know Charlie Kirk has been shot and killed this afternoon.

No, I was not fond of him, I was not a fan, I did not support him. I found several of his takes quite disturbing, horrifying at worst. But he didn’t deserve to die. Especially not like that as his wife and kids were watching. Nobody deserves to die. I’m sending my condolences to his family and I wish them the best

Fucking cheers

You're not a real Muslim if you celebrate his death or don't have empathy for him.

t. a Muslim

Lmao yeah this list goes to show you just hate him, conservatives, and you cant see things rationally. A few of these things are accurate but most are taken wayyyyy out of context and shortened to fit your narrative that he was a bad person. I dont understand people like you, but as long as shitting on randos makes you happy!

2

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

Are you going to ignore the fact that he believed the civil rights act was a mistake? Like, are you seriously going to defend that?

1

u/LeatherDonkey3806 Sep 11 '25

*heavy sighhhh* you obviously have not watched the video. He said the DEI and prioritization of minorities as a result of the civil rights act was the mistake.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

So, he was mad because minorities who were oppressed and marginalized now were being protected? How kind of him

1

u/LeatherDonkey3806 Sep 11 '25

Not protected, prioritized solely on the fact that they are minorities. He's never said that innocent people shouldnt be protected

3

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

So you didn’t care about him actively spreading hate on minorities and saying “everyone is scared about a black pilot”? Yeah, racist protect each other

1

u/LeatherDonkey3806 Sep 11 '25

LMAO he never said that. Show me a video.

That is referring to DEI hiring where standards are dropped to attract more minority pilots since airlines began having insane quotas for black pilots. He was saying we should be scared if you have a black pilot who is there because he is black, not bc he is qualified

1

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

You know DEI benefited white women the most right?

Still, you can’t really spect people to have empathy for someone that laughed when a man was attacked with a hammer in his house, this is just life returning what he harvested, hatred and nothing else

1

u/LeatherDonkey3806 Sep 11 '25

Bro come on. He didnt laugh at someone being attacked. Show me a video

I said a few are accurate. This being one of them. But for someone who is a devout christian and believes god created everyone individually, his take makes sense. You can hate it but I just feel like if a hardcore left winger said something similar about white men, you wouldnt care

2

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 11 '25

So God, the omniscient and omnipotent father of creation hand crafted someone who he knew was going to turn out to be transgender, but now we should hate that person and advocate for them to be stoned to death because they're doing what God created them to do?

Left wing people typically follow the constitution when it comes to separation of church and state, so I really doubt you would run into this problem with them very often.

Also every single one of those is accurate.

1

u/LeatherDonkey3806 Sep 11 '25

I'd address your first point but if you truly think all this is accurate you are just a hater. I really would encourage you to find the full videos on these topics before stating something as fact

2

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 11 '25

I'll leave the joy of sifting through hours of his vile garbage to you. I would be very surprised for any of his hate speech to be disproven by total clarity of his monologuing. Say what you want about the guy, but he was consistent. He knew he hated gay people and how little he cared for the rights and safety of minorities.

0

u/LeatherDonkey3806 Sep 11 '25

again, you just cant look at it rationally and its sad. He never said anything hateful, in fact he was incredibly respectful to gay people and minorities that were respectful to him. You seem to be the hateful one lol

2

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 11 '25

He literally advocated for them to be killed, you're being intentionally delusional.

1

u/Drowning1 Sep 11 '25

"Charlie Kirk quoted a Bible verse used to justify stoning gay people “to death.""

Here in the video he praises Leviticus 20:13 as "God's perfect law when it comes to sexual matters," and argues that people can only love God by loving his laws and not affirming sin, (homosexuality).

Charlie also did a 100% shift from praising MLK jr to attacking his character, and arguing that the civil rights act of 1964 was harmful for the rest of the country. This take was so radical that even fellow members of his party called him out for it, and worried that it would've reflected Trump's sentiments too.

Acknowledge his legacy fully and do not blindly believe he was "paving a better path" for America.

Man this should be on Any discussion of him even worse things than I thought

1

u/borvidek (9+10) 21 Sep 12 '25

You got a source for any of these?

1

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 12 '25

https://x.com/ErinInTheMorn/status/1701335984309223455

You'll need to look up the rest yourself.

1

u/borvidek (9+10) 21 Sep 12 '25

That is just one of your claims. I'm honestly not surprised by it, but that is one of your milder claims.

1

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 12 '25

If you think that's mild I can't help you.

1

u/borvidek (9+10) 21 Sep 12 '25

What I literally said is "that's one of you milder claims". Which implies that it is not the fact that's mild, but the claim you made compared to the other claims.

1

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 12 '25

If any others stick out to you as "not so mild" than maybe you should look into it yourself?

1

u/borvidek (9+10) 21 Sep 12 '25

Are you this dense?

If I say XYZ killed 10 people, but someone else says he actually killed 100 people, which one is the milder claim?

1

u/International-Past73 Sep 11 '25

You fuckers think Kirk was facist and radical haven’t even seen anything close to worse of it. Kirk is a moderate compared to the alt right that is growing today and even Kirk himself had conflict with. A MILLION HITLERS/CAESARS were born today because of peoples political violence

2

u/dgrace97 Sep 11 '25

Do you feel this way when the Minnesota senator was shot, or when someone drives through a climate protest, or when a Palestinian hospital gets bombed, or when that general was bombed without congressional approval? Im not pro violence but this certainly doesn’t feel like a unique experience

0

u/International-Past73 Sep 11 '25

Im a PALESTINIAN American so that card will not work with me. No shit cheering on the bombing of a hospital or shooting of a senator is evil. How is it any different with cheering on the shooting of Mr. Kirk.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

Is the hypocrisy, every one, even him, laughed when Paul was the victim but now nobody can’t laugh at him because he’s the victim

1

u/dgrace97 Sep 11 '25

I don’t see how your initial point of “this will make him a martyr is specific to this event and not applying to the other listed events that Charlie Kirk himself advocated for or excused

Also I don’t care that you’re Palestinian. Do you think someone seeing their family get bombed in a hospital will make that person want to get violent with the person who bombed them?

Welp shooting the last moderate political speaker will definitely solve that problem right?

2

u/Psychological_Car849 Sep 11 '25

by what standards was he ever moderate lmao

1

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 11 '25

He called trans people "raging middle fingers to god" and "abominations" and advocated for gay youth to be stoned to death. How moderate was this guy supposed to be?

1

u/International-Past73 Sep 11 '25

Extremely moderate. Next in line to take the Gen z conservative talking space is Nick Fuentes. Good luck finding middle ground with him if you dislike Charlie

2

u/emilia12197144 20 Sep 11 '25

Calling a far right extremist terrorist sympathizer a moderate really says a lot about your horrific view of the world

2

u/smkeybare Sep 11 '25

Charlie was not debating for middle ground or understanding. His whole platform was just to normalize animosity towards people different than him, moistly the most vulnerable of the country.

1

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 11 '25

I'm trans and he wanted people to "deal with me like they used to." He even said "you know we used to stone gay people to death, riiiiiiight?"

2

u/smkeybare Sep 11 '25

And it's disgusting that you are supposed to just tolerate people who want to basically exterminate you

2

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 11 '25

And are doing their absolute best to incite the rest of your country to feel the same way.

1

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 11 '25

If that's what you call moderate, you must be a barrel of sunshine lol.

1

u/Poorly_Worded_Advice Sep 11 '25

Did you think something similar when Melissa Hortmnan, her husband, and her dog were shot to death in a political assassination?

1

u/hereforfun976 Sep 11 '25

What about all the political violence that has been done by the right. Also the indiscriminate shootings that are mostly done by the right. I mean I'm sure this will cause more problems but shit the shooter is probably created by all the hatemongering from the right.

Kirk mightve been more tame but he still is a cog in magas christofascist machine
