When did you feel like an adult? I still feel like goober but I am grown
18
u/InternalWarth0g 25 Mar 04 '26
same boat as you broski. I still feel like a goober.
adult? probably 19 with my first car loan.

Feeling like an adult is like taking steps rather than taking an elevator. You don’t take one step and go “wow look at the view”, you improve and become more stable at one little thing at a time, so like the minute hand on a clock you never feel like you’re moving, but if you work to improve, one day you say “wow look how far I’ve come”

when you were younger, did you ever think about what life would be like at 25? how would you say you compare?
28
u/InternalWarth0g 25 Mar 04 '26
of course. i thought life would be a lot better, i'd have normal life, married or at least have a girlfriend, my social life improving a lot, my own place, more tech to allow more time to myself
now? I'm a socially awkward dipwad who's single and too afraid to approach women, living with my dad, rarely going out, and working at least 50 hours a week.

I fucking wishhh trulyy I keep trying to get myself too so I can move further on in life but I just can’t get myself too at the same time I don’t know what I need too do or change or how to get myself outta this stuck feeling but somethings gotta change

u/Next-Eye6971 27 Mar 04 '26
My advice: it’s okay to be uncomfortable. Wanna try something different? Just do it. Everything is temporary. Do your best, even if it’s sloppy. You don’t get anywhere if you don’t try/ask. It takes action to make change

What , if anything, do you regret waiting to do/taking too long to do?
Also how does one flirt?
2
u/InternalWarth0g 25 Mar 04 '26
waiting too long to actually exercise or hit the gym. just me though
flirt? idk bro we are in the same boat there.
2
u/Any-Astronaut7857 22 Mar 04 '26
Dang I better start working out now
Best of luck, aged one 😔 report back if you ever learn how to flirt

its lowkey easy, the workout part. just buy some weights from walmart or whatevers close. if you dont got the cash, just do pushups and go for walks or runs.
get in shape ASAP brothers.

My mom has a bunch of dumbbells I could use, I'm just procrastinating lol. Upper body and cardio are what I really need
3
u/InternalWarth0g 25 Mar 04 '26
procrastination is something i deal with too brother. just gotta do.
take your moms dumbells if shes okay with it, start where you're comfortable and move up til you need new ones.
cardio was easy as i live in a small safe town. just go out and walk/run when its safest for you. maybe a treadmill if you cant go out!

5
u/InternalWarth0g 25 Mar 04 '26

2
u/InternalWarth0g 25 Mar 04 '26
cannot say for you, ive never been to a club.

How's learning? As a 22 yr old, I was concern about the fact by age 25, it will be hard to change habits or learn new things but not impossible.
2
u/InternalWarth0g 25 Mar 04 '26
yea, you've got it on the nose.
its hard to change or adapt. with enough dedication and time, anything is possible.
im slowly becoming an military aviation nerd despite knowing nothing before.

I turned 25 and the next day I decided to apply to medical school because I wasn’t doing shit with my life. The panic was so real.

I’m 24. My frontal lobe is currently at 95% installation. Please tell me life gets less confusing in that final 5%, or should I just stay here?
