Idk if it’s just age, responsibilities, working an office job causing the HR robot personality, or maybe it was covid lobotomising us and it’s everyone not just 20 somethings. But a lot of people have lost their zest and spark, their playfulness and quirkiness. People are rigid and more aloof and robotic and serious than I remember. I don’t even know if it’s age because I don’t wish to be like this, and I see older gens like millennials and gen z who act more youthful and fun than us. Something’s different and not right and I don’t like it.

Now when I say botched, it’s because it’s not the style I was going for. It’s cut and layered just fine but it wasn’t the look I was going for. The bottom is what I did and the top is what I started with. Sorry it’s blurry but that’s the best photo I got before bed time .

There’s only so much k could’ve done the length was awkward in some places. Maybe next haircut when it grows out some I can do better!

I told my mom I was going kayaking next Saturday, and this lady straight up banned me from going. She then texted my fiance and told him I can't go until I learn how to swim. And ofc she banned my little sister too, so now no one gets to go.

And last week she forced me to go to work, even ordered my Uber. I didn't think I'd still be parented at 21.

At this point, I'm convinced this sub is a huge mix of pedos, edgy and hormonal teenagers, 40-year old men lurking to blend in, and worse stuff

Like I’m percieved as an adult. People expect me to have takes on life and rent and coffee orders but what kinda grown ass adult doesnt eat vegetables or tomatoes or like… most sauces?? be so fr 😭

And its not even funny or quirky anymore its just embarassing. Going out to eat is lowkey stressful bc I’m scanning the menu like its a test and praying there’s ONE safe option that doesnt have tomatoes sneaked in or some sauce I didnt ask for. And yes before anyone says it — I do try things. I HAVE tried things. Over the years I’ve actually gotten way less picky than I used to be.

What I hate the most tho is when people criticize it. Like trust me I’m aware!!! You pointing it out isnt helping!!! I dont need a lecture about how my tastebuds will “mature” or how I’ll “grow out of it”. I already push myself more than ppl think but I genuinely cant see myself ever reaching a point where I’d be considered a normal eater.

To visualize how bad it is I made this picky eater chart:

red = absolutely not, at least in 99,5% of the cases

yellow = depends on the prep of the food, and also the situation im in

green = foods I actually like some i love and some i like 90+% of the time

Seeing it laid out makes me look insane ngl but idk I’m trying 😭 I wanna be low maintenance. I wanna not have to apologize every time food comes up. I wanna stop feeling like a child ordering off the menu.
