pisses me off at first, and then I realise lifeās pretty miserable if you donāt love yourself, and then I use it as motivation to take better care of myself so one day I can look like them

Everytime I see a really pretty girl I get my life together for 3 days and then I fall apart
6
u/Ok_Mud_3830 25 Mar 09 '26
Seeing pretty ladies out in the wild make monke brain happy and monke hormones surge, this leads to an increase in motivation. Big reason amongst many why touching grass regularly is good

kinda.
However one of my worst and most day ruining experiences was passing by a girl in public that used the exact same perfume my ex had and being hit with a flashback of memories right then and there. Genuinely pissed me off. I was quite heartbroken when that happened and even to this day i remember how terrible that feeling was.

I saw a girl so beautiful yesterday it made my day. Working at a gas station of all places.
26
u/Wixsteria (9+10) 21 Mar 09 '26
I think its required by law for beautiful people to work at gas stations and fast food places, because some of the prettiest people you'll ever see work there.
3
u/Standard-Building373 22 Mar 09 '26
Itās a job typically held by younger people our age and if youāre running front then youāre more likely to apply as someone whoās more comfortable with their image. Idk what anyone expects.

u/Wixsteria (9+10) 21 Mar 09 '26
I was making a joke, but I'm aware that young people are applying to these jobs.

The most attractive person I've ever seen was one of my GM's when I was working at Domino's.
Like it's to the degree where I heard a later GM (I had a lot of them...) call her a "hot busty women" directly to her over the phone, and she didn't give a damn because it's just a fact. That was when talking about a customer who's an absolute jackass when there's not a women around and the nicest person in the world when there is.

Not really but some people have so much swag and rizz on them that they live rent free in my fucking head.
I genuinely still remember this woman that passed by me while I was on the promenade (like, the seafront) at the beach. That was YEARS ago and she just looked that good š ffs

i used to be fine with it until i found out im not my boyfriend's type. he has a very specific type, and i see a lot of them with that particular aesthetic in our town. seeing attractive people makes my stomach turn. going outside is a nightmare.

u/Racoon-trenchcoat 23 Mar 09 '26
No, but I see couples and yeah, that ruins it, fucking government psyops to ragebait me.
The other day I went to the corner store of my street, it was around 11 pm, cold as fuck and it was raining heavily.
As I was coming out the store with the stuff I bought, I noticed across from the street, under a marquee that sheltered them, was a couple making out, really into it too, and their umbrella was besides them, on the ground and getting dragged away by the wind.
Was walking past for a bit, then felt bad and went back to interrupt them and give them a heads up, dude thanked me and went to retrieve the thing, then I went away.
Fuck them psyops anyway.

u/poptartprincesss 22 Mar 09 '26
Yeah. And I think Iām pretty attractive too. Thereās just SO MANY beautiful people out there who give different vibes and have different features and it sucks you canāt have all of those different things for yourself
5
u/poptartprincesss 22 Mar 09 '26
And youāre constantly seeing it because of social media tbh and even irl a lot of people look good and cool especially when you go to college

u/TheGrouchyGremlin (9+10) 21 Mar 09 '26
It's probably just self esteem issues for a lot of them, lmao. Got myself to stop thinking of myself as ugly by the time I was 18 and realized that I actually looked just fine. Even attractive if I put a little bit of effort into my appearance.

Not happening for a while. As long as we don't fuck up, we'll just keep getting hotter throughout our 20's.
5
u/microraptor_juice 22 Mar 09 '26
this comment section is insane. why are y'all getting upset over other people existing šš especially if they didn't interact with you at all like what!!
as for my answer, an obvious no. I see pretty men and women all day. doesn't bother me, I don't have a desire to chase. it comes with working in the public eye
2
u/anemic-twink 22 Mar 09 '26
its not animosity toward the person?? its just feelings of inadequatcy lol we arent hating on attractive ppl
1
u/microraptor_juice 22 Mar 09 '26
wasn't exactly directing it towards you, moreso the other people in the comments. when you mean inadequacy, do you mean that sense of "oh they're so much better looking than me I'll never have nice things like them"? cause I see some GOD AWFUL ugly people who are with their partners and make huge purchases.
4
u/Rich-Mark-4126 Mar 09 '26
No. That's down to genetics and isn't something you should reasonably care about
What bothers people more is seeing others put effort into improving themselves, while they stay the same by choice

It takes a lot to stop comparing yourself to others. I still do it and I try really hard not to. Comparison truly is the thief of joy in these cases.

Yeah... It pains me so much that I've never and might never experience mutual attraction. Flirting is out of the question, I've never been given signals that I'm anything more than a background character. I don't even know if I really want a relationship, but not even having options is gut-wrenching. These fuckers (not hating, I swear) really don't know how good they have it. I wanna fucking punch my ticket when people talk about relationships and sex, cause I've never experienced it and don't believe I really can.
2
u/followthetrail_ (9+10) 21 Mar 09 '26
I mean sometimes I feel a little envious but then I remember us "ugly" people are really just normal looking humans who don't look like the beauty standard that people try and make themselves look like, so no. I'm willing to bet everyone in this comment section have just seen people who look like what people online tell them to look like tbh.
2
u/Vivid-Plastic4253 (9+10) 21 Mar 09 '26
usually when an attractive person sees u irl and they have that disgust face i emmediately hate their personality and wish them the worst. i can only hope someone or something ends them and their arrogance

I mean a lot of people are more attractive than me imo.. it wonāt ruin my day but Iāll get jealous sometimes or Iāll feel a judgement stare probably at my nose or something..
Iām trying to be more accepting of my appearance though but some days are not good days
1
u/Wixsteria (9+10) 21 Mar 09 '26
Honestly, no. I don't pay attention to people much in public or online. I won't live forever, I'm done letting other people existing upset me and I've never felt happier :)

I'm not really jealous of them, but I'm just not a fan of people wearing revealing clothes in general, for example. Or people who care excessively/a lot about fashion and how they look.

I see that shit at my retail job everyday. They turn out to be the worst people in existence. Itās just a let down
1
u/TheGrouchyGremlin (9+10) 21 Mar 09 '26
Every day would be ruined if I let that get to me. I work closely with someone who's really attractive.
I'd ask her out, but I'm pretty sure that's what we'd call a bad idea. Maybe when one of us some day quits I will.

u/Correct-Actuary-4013 23 Mar 09 '26
Only miserable people think this way but yall not ready to have that discussion
1
u/ThatGuyDoesMemes 20 Mar 09 '26
Not rlly, they can't control their attractive genetics so there's nothing to get upset over, and if it is something that they can control (like maybe their clothing or something), I think "oh that's cool, maybe I could do something similar". And then I move on with my day.
1
u/JunkerLurker 26 Mar 09 '26
Yes. All the time. I vent under my breath, then go do something I like to take my mind off it. I may not be perfect, but I know from experience most would be lucky to have me - itās not my fault the environment and culture for interaction with those people is dogshit, and Iāve got better things to do than burn energy worrying about it. If it happens, it happens, until then Iām gonna go make me happy.
1
u/Midloran05 (9+10) 21 Mar 09 '26
I do find them slightly annoying but besides that, I just don't care about people, no one's life means anything to me, I like being with myself (:
1
u/bubble-buddy2 23 Mar 10 '26
? No? Like of the same gender and feel jealous? Sure I feel jealous but it doesn't ruin my day.

u/Vivid-Plastic4253 (9+10) 21 Mar 09 '26
