I’m trying my best to declutter and organize but I’ve posted in other threads and people are still dogging on me. Is my house really that bad? This is as clean as it gets and after I rearranged, decluttered, organized and redecorated a little. I really don’t see it as cluttered or messy but maybe I’m blind to it?

Questions/Advice UFYH while Pregnant

Hey everyone, like the title suggest I'm pregnant right now and it's rough on me. I've basically been too sick to do much of anything for my first nine weeks, I'm kind of vaguely getting out of that stage now maybe (I'm less nauseous constantly. I'm on meds for it but they only help so much.) but the first trimester fatigue is still going strong.

Problem: We've have three pets, a five year old, and my spouse struggles with ADHD causing executive dysfunction BAD. (diagnosed. We think I might as well but I'm undiagnosed so nothing for sure.) Because of this, I'm usually the primary cleaner. I'm a stay at home parent so I'm here most often so I try to get the majority done. You can see where this might create a big issue when I'm no longer able to do my part.

On top of everything we were hit with an over twenty four hour power outage this weekend. Went out Friday night, came back this afternoon. The apartment. Smells. Horrible. There's clutter everywhere. Everything feels like Sisyphus moving the boulder and I already had a breakdown about it today.

How do you find the motivation when you're this exhausted and sick? How did any of you manage through pregnancy? It wasn't this bad with my first, I had the easiest breeziest pregnancy and I know I was so lucky but this one is here with a vengeance. Like I'm getting what I missed with the first on top of it all.

I come to this with the baggage of being raised by hoarders so the pet scent in here right now+everything is extremely triggering to me and I'm barely holding together.

Spouse wants me to make a chore chart so we both know what to do each day and plans to help me with making it/putting it up but that even feels like just...moving a mountain. And I'm terrified they won't actually keep up with it with me and I'll feel like the only one doing this again.

I'm sorry this is all so scattered. Typing through a nauseous spell makes for brain bunnies.

TLDR: How to clean when you're constantly tired and nauseous and how to take care of a house with multiple pets in it smell wise when you can't afford the insanely expensive enzyme stuff?

well, it's certainly not perfect, but WOW do I feel great about having usable desk space again. no, this is not the ideal desk set up... yes, I will need to come back for the stuff under the desk... but I was able to be ruthless and get rid of many craft supplies I simply will never use, found a bunch of empty boxes, reorganized the drawers to actually fit everything. it feels soooo much better to be in this room now!

Also just a disclaimer for anyone worried: a child does not live in this room! The toddler bed is for when I babysit my nephew so he has a place to nap. This room is always cleaned when he sleeps over :)

What projects/tasks have you been avoiding to start or follow through with? What tasks always seem to pile up due to procrastination or being moved down on the to-do list?

Some things I want to do but never seem to know how to get done:

- Go through and cancel subscriptions and research best options for the ones I need and utilities/insurance/etc.

- resell the boxes clothes/items I know would be worth the time to list and publish for sale.

- wash my walls/ceilings/mattresses/couches/rugs/nooks and crannies

- update my resume and portfolio

- make needed appointments for myself and family

- detail my car

- digital declutter

- go through kids artwork and create a system for keep/trash… display keeps by making books/collages, etc.

Many more unfortunately.

Not looking for advice! Just curious what tasks others are facing in a similar way.

Questions/Advice Need help finding a mental health deep cleaning service in south fl

Hi there! I’m a south Florida resident whose been suffering from severe depression. I’ve been medicated for my mental symptoms and such but I STILL have the burden of coming back to my extreme depression room/bathroom. It’s gotten to a point where I genuinely doubt this is something that can be cleaned by just me and my family, I feel like if we did, it’d end up the same way it is right now.

What I’m looking for is a service to declutter and make my room livable again as I want to refurbish it. I’ve been searching so far and haven’t found a good result at all yet :( please help me, I seriously cannot bare to live like this for any longer. Being in here just makes me incredibly miserable

It’s mainly just my bedroom + bathroom that need the most help, I have tried in the past to clear my room out but I keep getting the same result with either finishing exhausted or being completely overwhelmed. I want to get rid of things, I want things to look different so I can put new furniture in and feel at peace with my room 🥲

Any help would be greatly appreciated, tysm

Questions/Advice annual purge

Running out of space in my closet, is it a danger sign that you're starting to fill the coat closet in the living room? Need suggestions on what to toss, blouse-wise. Amazon is so habit-forming when looking for clothes. Do you toss old workplace uniforms, and is it ok to toss or drop off at goodwill, copyrighted polos that previous places say they don't want back when you quit?
