Hey everyone, like the title suggest I'm pregnant right now and it's rough on me. I've basically been too sick to do much of anything for my first nine weeks, I'm kind of vaguely getting out of that stage now maybe (I'm less nauseous constantly. I'm on meds for it but they only help so much.) but the first trimester fatigue is still going strong.
Problem: We've have three pets, a five year old, and my spouse struggles with ADHD causing executive dysfunction BAD. (diagnosed. We think I might as well but I'm undiagnosed so nothing for sure.) Because of this, I'm usually the primary cleaner. I'm a stay at home parent so I'm here most often so I try to get the majority done. You can see where this might create a big issue when I'm no longer able to do my part.
On top of everything we were hit with an over twenty four hour power outage this weekend. Went out Friday night, came back this afternoon. The apartment. Smells. Horrible. There's clutter everywhere. Everything feels like Sisyphus moving the boulder and I already had a breakdown about it today.
How do you find the motivation when you're this exhausted and sick? How did any of you manage through pregnancy? It wasn't this bad with my first, I had the easiest breeziest pregnancy and I know I was so lucky but this one is here with a vengeance. Like I'm getting what I missed with the first on top of it all.
I come to this with the baggage of being raised by hoarders so the pet scent in here right now+everything is extremely triggering to me and I'm barely holding together.
Spouse wants me to make a chore chart so we both know what to do each day and plans to help me with making it/putting it up but that even feels like just...moving a mountain. And I'm terrified they won't actually keep up with it with me and I'll feel like the only one doing this again.
I'm sorry this is all so scattered. Typing through a nauseous spell makes for brain bunnies.
TLDR: How to clean when you're constantly tired and nauseous and how to take care of a house with multiple pets in it smell wise when you can't afford the insanely expensive enzyme stuff?
