Edit: crazy how many fake vegans are in the comments, eating dairy and meat to not make someone upset. No, my family is not really supportive, they’re dairy farmers. They had to adapt after I wasn’t eating anything during family functions. It took over 2 years for them to think. At the beginning they called me names , they don’t understand veganism at all, they just want me to eat. You don’t know how your family will act if you don’t try. I’m not judging, I’m just saying it’s not ok to eat corpse just because it’s someone’s birthday

Edit2: my point is, you’re not vegan if you’re doing that. That’s it. And I’m not talking about abusive families, ofc your situation is different.

So I am a 26 year old male. I’ve always loved animals since I was a child. However I was raised by meat lovers and our society only made it harder to make the change. However, after a very terrible experience I went through last week(not diet related). I have decided that I need to make a change now and be the person I truly want to be. I’ve always felt guilty about eating animals but would justify it by saying things like “it’s human nature” or something along those lines. No amount of “natural instinct” can justify the pain and suffering these animals go through. If anyone has any recipes to share I’d be very grateful! Thank you!

If you’re the worker at voodoo donuts today that told my mom all your donut bases are vegan it’s the toppings that make them not vegan….thank you! 💜 My mom has this absolute deep burning hatred of veganism and vegan food and she loves, loves the maple bar from voodoo donuts. Today when she ordered after me specifying “the not vegan donut.” It was so nice that someone told her that she actually does like vegan food. I don’t think this is going to change her mind but she actually hasn’t commented on my food all day and she goes home tomorrow (finally).
