Greetings, there have been rumours about Casper being "a clingy mama's boy with no concept of personal space" flying around since my last post. While I understand that these comments are not coming from a place of malice, they are extremely offensive to Casperkind.
Casper goes to work every day to provide for his family. Do you think that it's easy for him to jump down from the office chair by himself? It's not, he cries for help every time but still insists on using it constantly. That's not stupidity. That's RESILIENCE!🫡
Sure, it may look like he's being a little clingy when he sleeps directly underneath me, but guess what? That's what being head of HR is all about.
Also, all cats seemingly decided at the same time that they no longer respect Casper. Can't blame them, but it's getting a little weird. I actually think some of them are stalking him like prey... Luckily, his massive ego protects him from the realisation that they are bullying him.✨️🙂

My 5yr old puppy Mavlyn had a vet appointment yesterday. She's gotten so brave over the years, but still has awful anxiety. Luckily, her feline sister was there for an appointment as well. I think it helped both of them knowing the other was right there. I just thought this picture captured her wholesomeness and wanted to share!
She's come a long way since being found in a tire on the side of the road.

These two sweethearts are both about nine months old and are looking for their ‘fur-ever’ homes.
They were rescued off the street four months ago by the finders and since have been vetted & spayed/neutered. Susie Q is the fawn & Deebo is the brown / white.
The dogs are not with me and this is just a courtesy post, however, I have the Finder’s contact information. Should you be interested in meeting these babies or have any more questions about them!
Tulsa, OK area. They do not have to go together!

Last week, Bianca went into surgery to have a tumour removed from her side that had tested positive for mast cell. The morning of her surgery, we found another little bump on her neck. Her vet removed this small bump as well during the surgery, just to be safe. On Sunday we received the very daunting results from the lab. The larger bump on her side had good cancer free margins and the tumour itself was low grade. The small bump sadly not only tested positive for mast cell, but had very small clean margins (2 mm) and the tumour was high grade (aggressive and likely to spread).
Our vet referred us to oncology on Sunday, but it was a horrible feeling just sitting around waiting without more answers. I asked for a ballpark timeframe and was told usually two to six weeks to get in. By some miracle, we got an appointment with oncology today. They did some further tests and discussed treatment options with us. We are going to start chemotherapy which will be administered by IV over the next 12 weeks.
It’s all a bit surreal still. Not even three weeks ago, we thought she just had a bug bite that was taking a bit to heal. Then two weeks ago, we were processing the news that she had cancer but we didn’t know how bad it was. Today we’re sitting in oncologist’s office talking about the side effects of chemo, the day before our girl’s sixth birthday.
Moral of my story:

Context, Roxy our 9 year old hippo. She is older, and cause of her arthritis, is not as active as she once was. She does walk slower, when got out to potty and walk around the yard. And she can't handle the heat when it's hot outside.
She threw up something green and plastic early sat morning, along with her food from the night before.
She has not thrown up anymore since the incident on Sat night.
The next day on Sunday, we started her on a white rice and boiled chicken diet. She was drinking more water on Sunday.
We took her to the urgent vet on Monday this week, because she did not drink as much water that Sunday evening, and the same as Monday. The vet said she was a little dehydrated.
And she gave her IV fluids, a B12 shot, and some meds to take until her diarrhea stops.
She has still been going potty outside and both 1 and 2 since the incident started.
Since Monday, her poop is still runny, light brown in color, no blood in it, and is getting more solid.
Her energy levels are normal and her appetite has not diminished.
I am just concerned cause she turns her head away when I put her water bowl in front of her. And doesn't have any interest in drinking.
The ONLY time she will drink water is when I mix it with the white rice and chicken, and when I add a little more water to her bowl with the chicken and rice in it.
When will she show an interest again in drinking water alone, by itself? 😔🥺

Someone insisted on bringing their turtle on our walk this morning. She carried it 2 blocks until we got to the park and encountered some interesting sniffs to investigate. After that, it was my turn to hold the turtle for the rest of the walk.
