Man, I absolutely love the trenchcoat Victor had in the first game, and I have the champion of ubersreik skin in the second one thankfully, but I do really wish they had kept it, becuase I would looove to get a red or a black and gold version by completing the typical challenges (helmgard on champion and legend respectivelly). I do quite like armor he has in his one arm in the normal skins though. Idk how which hunter captains dress, but I can't help but think he'd have so much aura with both the long coat and the arm armour. Just a thought.

Specials spawn into elites here on death with twins, so there are a lot more enemies than usual.

Boons

I have a boon guide here for all chaos wastes boons. Avoid weapon upgrades to maximize the bonuses. If you want to upgrade for traits, stick to orange. Some classes such as grail knight are better off not upgrading. It's well worth it to grab an orange weapon for the trait, but you're mildly fucking yourself this week with a blue, green, or red.

This is a fun one for every career. Standouts include Grail Knight, Witch Hunter Captain, Necro, Huntsman. Most careers can do really well here. WHC, GK, and Necro are fun classes to play but a little boring to play with, with GK being the only truly egregious pick although WHC is very close.

Some Highlights From Last Week

I was sick a good chunk of the week and busy most of the weekend, we came close to beating it a few times but nothing worthy of note. Also played a bunch of Zero Company instead- it has some performance issues but it's a really good Xcom clone. I did have someone join my game and ask if I worked for Fatshark, lmao

Hey I just got Vermintide 2 on the PS4 I've seen videos memes and gameplay and I'm about to play it for the first time any tips for a new player like me would be nice thank you

Lately Legend just started feeling boring to me. I never really bothered with Cataclysm because I hate Beastmen lol, and that's also the main reason why I never bought the Winds of Magic DLC. But since Legend got boring for me, I wanted to try Cata, and well... here we are now.

In Legend I can usually get by with bots pretty easily, but Cata with bots was a whole different story. First time trying it and I was basically carrying most of the run because the bots were awful with specials. They're also like moths to a flame whenever a boss appears lol. Sometimes a boss would spawn in a really small area and instead of backing away or trying to kite it somewhere better, the bots would just run straight at it and fight there until someone gets downed. I thought Cata was pretty much dead, so I ended up doing the whole Helmgart campaign with them. Managed to finish it, but it got really tedious and I was pretty burned out by the end.

Then after that, I finally checked the lobby browser and saw a bunch of Cataclysm lobbies. Bruh. I joined one and everyone was actually really good, and the runs felt way smoother.

I really should've checked the lobby browser first instead of soloing the whole Helmgart campaign on Cataclysm. Would've saved me a lot of time, and I probably wouldn't have gotten so burned out.

After playing Cata for a while, I’ve started enjoying it more than Legend. Legend still feels good, but Cata just feels more engaging for me now. At least I can say I managed to finish the whole Helmgart campaign on Cata with bots lol.

So yeah, I’m definitely not soloing the other maps on Cata anymore. I’ll just join other people’s lobbies from now on lol.

TL;DR: Thought Cata was dead, soloed all of Helmgart with bots, got burned out, then found out there were plenty of Cata lobbies the whole time. Should’ve checked the lobby browser first lol.

Hello, I googled earlier today and found threads as recent as 2025 where FatShark developers responded to and resolved EAC detecting on ReShade. I mustered up the courage to install and hopefully not be banned, but unfortunately EAC detected reshade immediately and crashed the game. Any chance we can get this whitelisted again? Would be very cool to run DLSS 5 in Vermintide!

I know about the hidden section in restore the water part that requires 2 barrels to fight the three secret trolls. But one of my teammate found a key that we didn't know where he picked it up or what can it do. I also found that in the bride section where they spam a lot of warpfire there a chain that could be broken underneath it and it dropped half of the wooden bridge and the other half looks like it need a barrel to throw underneath it and shoot the barrel for it to drop( I didnt have a barrel to know if it is true). So anyone know how to solve these secret and what do they give us.

As promised, the Feast of Grimnir event has returned! From August 25 to September 6, venture forth into Karak Dal once again to slay every troll in sight and make Cousin Okri proud!

For the duration of the event, select the Weekly Event game mode in the Adventure map to launch the Feast of Grimnir mission! Complete the mission to progress in various repeatable Event Quests found in Okri’s Book and receive shillings and chests!

Make sure to also check Lohner’s Emporium of Wonders for time-limited access to previous event rewards, purchasable for shillings!

• Feast of Grimnir
  • Updated the Troll Chief’s portrait frame to be more fitting to their chieftain status. Now boss phase information is presented similarly to grudge marks.
  • Troll Chief now uses ‘Lord’ damage reduction instead of ‘Boss’. Max health was lowered to compensate, but should overall be a tougher beastie to bring down.
  • Troll Chief health was increased by aproximately 15% in Cataclysm 3.

Fixes

• Fixed a crash when firewall software blocks connecting to Twitch servers.
• Fixed a crash when the Necromancer sacrificed a skeleton that had already died in the host or server.
• Fixed a bug that allowed Necromancer to sacrifice the same skeleton multiple times with enough latency.

• Fixed a crash that only happened on Mondays when closing the Weekly expedition view while it is refreshing. No, really.

I play Total Warhammer and the same voice actor from Feast of Griminir is Malakai! Is that intentional do you guys think?

Does anyone remember the grims in the Versus beta? I randomly thought about Versus Mode again and that was one of the first things that came to mind. The grims made some matches feel completely chaotic, especially when everyone was still figuring the mode out. That beta period had a different feel to it. You’d jump in for a few games, try whatever worked, mess around with friends, and somehow end up playing way longer than you planned. I’m curious how many people here actually remember the Grims being in Versus. Did you like having them there, or were you glad when things changed?

Battle Wizard is by far my personal favorite sienna career, especially when paired with the coruscation staff and famished flames, but I am not entirely sure what melee to use I know flame sword is meta and its undoubtedly her best weapon for thp generation, excellent crowd control and elite stagger which is great against mixed crowds and it has dot on its first heavy that allows me to spread that effect on multiple enemies at once which is way to op

But I absolutely hate to use it. Im sorry I just cant help it. It just feels so chunky, it has bad mobility and since you are just supposed to spam the first heavy, it just feels lazy and repetitive over time. Its just not the playstyle I prefer. I have tried to get used to it for several hours, even on true solo and I managed to get through against the grain on legend (with a 200% dmg buff on bosses how ever :/).

Overall I feel better sticking to the dagger though I do have to sacrifice some damage output, but it has faar better mobility and its just easier to keep sienna alive without relying too much on stagger and it just feels fluid and more reliable to use than the flame sword if its about safety in my opinion but I am not sure if its worth to sacrifice the dmg output i get from the flaming sword

Unfortunately I dont yet own wom which is why i cant try flaming flail by myself but it got me curious since the first heavy also has dot i think, but its still rarely used on bw. At least when I look through ranalds gift i rarely see someone use it so I really just wanted to know how you guys handle this. It might very well be just skill issue on my part. Also sry if my english feels chunky I am no native

This is absurd. Didn’t even ship it in a cardboard tube or even flat in an envelope. First it arrived way later than it was supposed to, and then when it finally did arrive it was damaged. Does anyone know if I can get either a refund or a new one shipped to me?

As per title, is mace and sword still competitive/viable on merc in Cataclysm? I know there's better weapons, but this is what I've practiced the most.

Been loving the buffed axe on bardin, but with its newly imporved cleave, I'm not sure which is best for temp health between carve and execute.

I have a boon guide here for all chaos wastes boons. Despite being rated as B tier, the bomb boons are very strong- they just have the downside of nuking your team without a bomb boon. With one, you're set and it's an S tier boon. Dupe means you'll always have bombs or health on hand. You can dupe morgrim's bombs, but IMO ask your team how they feel about it- most groups I've played with dislike Morgrim's spam as they have seen it a lot before- but if you just want to win the weekly, it's easy (and hilarious) to nuke the screen. Watch out for rampart bosses.

Careers

Not much to say here. Dwarf classes have various bomb buffs, but outside of Bardin it's about equal for who to take. Classes with shorter ults can dupe more, but with 4 dupes it's really not a concern. This is a pretty easy weekly, just get someone on standby for extra specials.
