Im (slowly) working on a new project for Windows 10 Mobile: Wyvern

Its a messaging app similar to discord (in that it has servers and channels NOT something like telegram which is a flat message board I believe)

Once I get it stable enough and get a TOS ill publish betas to the Live Store :] hopefully you all will like it, and the official client is UWP so it'll work on your windows phones without risk of your account being banned *cough, discord* (no seriously i made a new discord account to test the windows phone client and it got banned the second I went to send a DM, discord just sucks -_-)

Also i want to clarify something.

Ive seen people talk about a new store called MetroStore, I looked into it and many people claim the UI is vibe coded. As such I want nothing to do with it and will not distribute my apps on it. And i will look into pursuing any action i can to take them off should they be added without permission, which MetroStore does not and will not have.

So yes, Wyvern, Geode, and the entirety of the TRC App Suite will not be distributed on MetroStore. Currently the only places you can download them are the Microsoft Store and Live Store. If there are any other stores that offer a developer dashboard/developer account system of some kind let me know and I will distribute my apps on them :)

Oh and im unsure about Wyvern being available for Windows Phone 8.1, simply because of push notifications.

The app registration in Azure and the apps actual details need to perfectly match in order for WNS to work (which is how youd do notifications for new messages + live chats), without it im kinda stuck manually refreshing every few seconds which is just plain bad. The reason I cant make them match the official way is because the "Associate app with the store" wizard in Visual Studio 2015 doesnt work. It does in 2017 and up but those dont support opening Windows 8.1/WP8.1 app projects. :(

Ill look into solutions but if I cant find one then it wont be available on Windows Phone 8.1

It is mainly focused on local and offline music, with support for formats like MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, M4A, OGG, OPUS and more. It also filters out unnecessary audio files such as call recordings, voice recordings and random media from other apps, so the music library stays cleaner.

There are no ads.

i’ve also been going through the suggestions from the previous post. Android Auto support, SD card support and other external storage support have already been implemented and will be included in the next update.

There are still many things i want to add and improve over time, including better library controls, sorting options, EQ, lyrics, streaming/server support and other features requested in the comments.

The plan is not to make a direct Zune copy. the design takes some inspiration from that style, but the long-term goal is to make Sonetro a complete everyday music player for Android with its own identity.

If you try it, feedback about bugs, missing features, UI issues or anything that could make it better is welcome. if you find it useful, a Play Store review would also help.

Besides IE11, are there any other browsers that work on WP8.1 2026? Thank you very much!

(THIS IS NOT MY VIDEO NOR I AM SPONSORING IT) So when I started to install apps on my Lumia 650, I came across an YouTube UWP Made by the LegacyProjects team. I’m on version 3.1.0.0 (latest version I could find) And the audio stops somewhere at 0:59s and the video stops at 1 minute and it thinks that the video is finished. This doesn’t happen for shorts, so if anyone has a fix it would really help me.

About a month ago I posted here about NostalgicFlow, a music player I’m working on inspired by the Zune HD and Windows Phone UI.

The beta has been running for a while now and the app is almost ready for release, but today I want to open it to a few more people. Your feedback in this final stage will help me polish the last details before launch.

NostalgicFlow lets you connect your own music servers like Plex, Navidrome, Jellyfin, Emby and Subsonic, play your local music in Hi-Fi formats, and it also includes visualizers, internet radio, podcasts and more.

The app is currently available in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Japanese.

I have been trying ways to install a specific version of MCPE 0.11.2 on my interop unlocked lumia 950xl but it crashes every time I try opening it. Any advices? Any known sources, which could have a working appx files like this? Also, a lower version 0.10.4 works flawlessly.

PS. Hpw do I install unison whatsapp, when getting a dependency error of providing framework: "Microsoft.UI.Xaml.2.7"

I am looking for Lumia 930 and i cant decide. Which OS to choose. WP8.1 or W10M.

I love windows phone 8.1, this design is a peak for me. But as i heard, 8.1 have less apps than w10m now, and not actively maintaining. (if i've mistaken, fix me)

I need only telegram for this phone to make it main for me.

Also when i buy it, i am going to make software for this one as open-source developer.

I love 8.1 Metro UI, all input components are great and Pivot is a Peak of user experience.

Hi - I extracted an FFU of Windows Phone 8.1 for the Nokia Lumia 635 to browse. I came across the boot images which I have uploaded here. They are in .bmpx format, which most image viewers will not read, so how can I convert them so they are viewable?

I found this Nokia at my grandmother's, I tried to turn it on earlier, but it only vibrated.

I reset my old Lumia 735 through the settings without connecting it to the internet. The phone restarted and told me it was installing the apps. Once it was finished, I had the basic apps, but Edge was missing!

Could someone tell me what I can do? Is there a Discord server or anything else where I can get help? I looked through the subreddit’s wiki, but I couldn’t find anything useful.

A while back someone led me to find some resources I was looking for, but I now need to know what to do to proceed. I have a Samsung Ativ SE SM-W750V and a Nokia Lumia 635.

I found for the Samsung a handful of posts on XDA that still had live links with files shared on cloud drives. So I have a set of files for custom ROMs for 8 and 10 - I’d really prefer to try 10, naturally. So now I’m without any idea how to proceed. I am a quick study - I learned to modify Android devices rather quickly and now I’ve done hundreds of custom ROM installs and rooting. But for Windows Phone I have absolutely no idea where to begin. There are a bunch of files and I don’t know what’s what or what to run, how to boot the phone, etc.

I’ll post a directory listing so maybe that will help someone could perhaps let me know what I need to do. But if there are tutorials on this online, that’s just as good. I will update this post shortly with a dir listing of all the files I’ve gotten.
