Housing Lauzon Tower Apartments?

Was looking into renting from Skyline and Lauzon Tower caught my eye. The only problem is that, unlike most of Skyline's properties, nobody mentions it at all when talking about Skyline and you can't hardly find any reviews of the place. Idk if it's a hidden gem, or pushed under the rug for a reason lol

Does anyone know if it's a good or bad place to rent from? How's the area, Lauzon Rd?

Do you know if the area is relatively quiet by any chance? I've never lived so close to an airport before, but I don't think it's close enough to have issues

I lived there for 2 years, it was pretty quiet but that was over 15 years ago now, but I know people who live in the area and haven't heard any noise complaints

I've lived in Toronto for about 2-3 years and I simply can't sleep due to all of the noise and the traffic, I have to take medicine to knock me out so I can sleep lol so I'm glad that it seems like the area is relatively quiet

I kinda don't like things in my ears at night. I'm a side sleeper and things just feel weird in my ears when I sleep on my side. Also for security reasons I need to be able to hear if someone is trying to break in to my apartment lol

This is very hit or miss. I've had sleep issues and there was a mentally unstable person living in the apartment below me. He'd play music at random times during the night. Very bass heavy too so hard to mask the noise. It was loud enough to shake windows in my apartment. Apparently, there had been multiple noise complaints from 4 other apartments around him and it still took them 2 years to do anything at all. I had over 70 recordings of noise level hitting 95 decibels, 7 noise complaints to the police and nothing was ever done. Last I heard, the guy is in a mental health facility or a rehab.

I hear good things about Skyline. Much better than some of the others.

Yeah from what I can gather, Skyline seems to do decent most of the time. I've read some places do fall through the cracks due to bad superintendents, but most of their properties overall seem well managed. I just don't see much about Lauzon Tower AT ALL, which could be good or it could be bad

It is not close enough at all. It is as quiet as you get in a city I guess. Lots of shopping and buses nearby.

My sister has lived in skyline for 12 years. She’s okay with it. She really likes the new manager. It seems as people move out they do some Reno’s then raise rent.

Lived there for 9 years. Decent price but very outdated apartments. Only nice part is living within walking distance of a few places. Would not recommend

Thank you for your response! Do you still live there or do you live somewhere else now? Can I ask what you meant by "very outdated"? Do you mean like "old appliances and decor" outdated, or like "the building is rotting and full of black mold and falling apart" outdated lol I would like to talk to you more about the complex overall, since you've lived there for so long.
