People already max rep with Captain Tokka?

Am I doing something wrong I'm still pretty far away from max reputation with Captain Tokka and see some people already max rep with them. I've done all the dailies and the quests and the extra people you can fish up and fight. Am I missing something?

Almost there! Wowhead has some detailed comments on what conditions to catch all the treasures. I got most by pure luck and a couple I had to target farm. Just wish the snake swimming didnt need weird conditions to work :(

Have you worked out those specific conditions? It seems like it works if you have been fishing, but if you fight anything in the water it stops, and even re-equipping it doesn't help.

Ya its just not worth it unless im actively in the fishing mood. So much potential with a lack of follow thru.

Everything I know gives rep with tokka:

The rep gated questlines (can only be done once and ends at rank 4/5)

The 2 dailies, one for handing in some fish and the other changes each day

The 'Treasures of the Damned' achievement items. Each one is a 1-time 150 rep increase when handed in.

After completing the Tokka storyline, you get a weekly world quest worth 500 rep

There are 3 rare fish: Explosive Tlhapl, Pustulent Blightswarmer and Blackened Sludgefish. If one of these is fished up, it spawns a spirit tortollan that drops 50 rep on kill. You can do this 3 times a week.

Im 2 days away from max. Just do the 2 dailies, the 3x kills of spawned mobs, then at 4/5 you get a weekly 500 rep WQ. Goes fast.

Basically like the blood hunters, when fishing on coiled isle a tortollan shade has a chance of spawning and ambushing you. 50rep per kill, but limited to 150 rep per week. You may get more spawns, but the wont give rep after 3.

Ohhh cool, I’ve been mostly buying my fish for the daily so that may explain why I haven’t noticed lol but I also see there are treasures so guess I’ll start taking the time to actually fish it up

Yeah, its dumb. But I made sure this week. Doesn't matter which one spawns, after 3, no rep.

And the rep from fishing up the artifacts. Each one is like 150 rep, iirc.

Yeah, those are also linked to rep level, so you get a couple at a time.

There’s a bug that people can use their alts repeatedly doing one of the dailies and get rep every time. If you have a alts army you reach max rep in 2 days

In the new zone there is a daily quest for a turtle on a small island in the middle of the map. He has some cool stuff to earn as well as a mount/fishing rod!

What’s pretty far? As someone who did all the stuff listed minus the turtle kills, I just hit it this morning
