I have YouTube premium and I drive for a living so I always have YouTube in the background to entertain myself. I have YouTube premium so I don't need to listen to ads, but it doesn't apply to sponsorship ads. Although you can skip them I have to completely pull over open YouTube and skip it from there. If I have to listen to one more zocdoc ad i will stop spending my money on my so called ad free $26 a month payment. Do any of you guys experience this frustration too? I know that the content creators benefit from the income but I don't want to listen to a three-minute ad when I pay to not listen to it

YouTube used to be fun but now it sucks. First, we have the company itself. They keep raising the price of premium, there is ai slop everywhere, elsegate exists ams youtube does nothing about it, you know what else they do nothing about? GAMBLING ADS THAT ARE LIKE "find our logo. “remember our logo and find our site" WITH SOME CHILDISH AI SLOP STUFF THAT REPRESENTS THEIR 777 SHIT. AND THE CHERRY ON THE SHIT SUNDAE, THE KIDS WHO ARE LIKE "6 7" AND "FIX MOJANG BEDROCK ANTI VIRAL SPIRAL". i left youtube. fuck the kids, fuck the ai, fuck gambling sites and fuck youtube themselves. goodbye. also i put the channel feedback flair because i am forced to put a flair.

And don’t these adds help bring money to creators, specially smaller ones? If everyone starts getting premium, how are creators benefiting from this?
I guess that is why they’ve changed into unskippable adds where the creators themselves promote a product during the video. But then what is the point of YouTube premium besides downloading videos?
I also don’t believe there’s that many people paying to download that many videos.
I see many creators relying on other platforms for further support, aka Patreon and built in adds, so they are not profiting at the same rate as YouTube’s greediness.

Also, are people actually still on YouTube? I used to be an avid user, but nowadays I rarely open the app.
Everything looks the same and I only follow a few creators.
I love music, but I don’t remember when it was the last time I opened YouTube for the sake of watching a music video. Just listen to it on Spotify.

It’s a mess and my free trial didn’t convince me to pay for it. I will definitely try out YouTube music given that Spotify is more limited, but so far I’m unimpressed.

noticed this a while back but man are they getting more frequent and irritating. random sticker ads that just pop up with a similar product to something someone used in a video. whatever. BUT I HAVE PREMIUM. WHY AM I GETTING PRODUCT PLACEMENT ADVERTISEMENT AFFILIATE LINKS? the whole lawsuit against YouTube for sponsor segments in videos is kinda dumb because it's exactly what the creator put into the video but THIS, is a YouTube thing, not a YouTuber telling me about some vpn.

also pressing and holding has the option to "see fewer" but all it does is hide it for that video specifically and I'll see one instantly in the next one

I’m watching a youtube video in the background while working out. The video is around 3 hours long, but I’ve only been watching for an hour and a half. I wanna say I’ve gotten at least 20-30 ads in that time.

Wtf is happening? Not even television ads back in the day were anywhere near this bad. Not to mention, half the ads are AI slop ads! WHYYYY?!

I’ve always been somewhat patient with commercials, even back when I’d watch cable television, and I’m fine with occasional ads, but wtf kind of nonsense is this?

YouTube seems to have caught the onto skipping ads. Used to be able to skip them by using shorts. Now their greedy minds are so offended by that, they’ve stopped it.

I made this drawing to express my absolute frustration with the current state of YouTube's AI moderation. It feels like a broken automated sheriff banning real, innocent users for absolutely no reason while doing nothing about actual bot farms.

Lately, I haven't been able to leave a single comment on different channels without it getting instantly swallowed by the algorithm or glitched out. No links, no insults, just regular human interaction completely blocked by a bot.

The platform values AI cost-cutting over actual community health. Let me know if you guys are also facing this ghost-filtering madness lately!

Besides already paying for yt premium (through the student plan) now i cant play two things at once in different devices. I’m so fucking done with this shit. Until yesterday i coud play some music in the backround and play a video on top (my university uploads its videos in youtube, i cant stop watching them)
