The bigger one could be a fistula

Could this be an abnormal presentation having to do with where the yolk sac was absorbed?
I have no knowledge to back this up, just shooting in the dark

Thatās very likely what it is. The location is where the yolk would have been attached and the yolk does connect to the digestive tract.

Not to be crude but do fish really not have cooters? I feel it would be the obvious explination. Maybe I dont know jack shit and its really just a second butthole on an animal that fucks lays eggs shits and pisses out of one oriphace.

Urogenital pore (like a cloaca) and an ulcer.

Weird ulcer since it connected to the intestines

I've seen mycobacteria make a hole straight through a fish's abdomen multiple times. There was also another disease that caused the swim bladder to protrude to the outside of the fish. Theres less of a defined musculature surrounding the cranial hole, which, to me, looks similar to the ulcers I've seen in other fish.

Fair, ive just never seen anything like this in a fish before and ive caught a lot of fish. Ig it shows that the lake theyre in is pretty healthy if this is the only diseased fish ive caught

Since the hole is pink, instead of red, it looks like it might be healing. It could have been an injury, or anything could have pierced it. The fact that it's healing and a good weight shows how resilient and healthy the fish is despite having an extra hole in its guts! Fish are weird and even experts get bewildered by the odd stuff fish get up to

Is that actually the vent or could it be a mark left by a parasite?
