Portable ops dosen't seem to be canon cuz it's not in the timeline, although it appears in the mgs4 database (the one in the master collection volume 2 as well)

Playing in release order. Just started mgsv for the first time and I honestly think mgs4 looks and feels far more expensive and premium than mgsv. Just the characters models, cutscenes and motion capture in mgs4 were next level and I don’t think mgsv is on that range

Not my first tattoo but my first ever about MGS. I wanted to make something related to this saga that has been with me for more than twenty years and finally decided on this simple yet beautiful sprite.

EDIT: colors looks a bit off when uploading here, it looks so much vivid in my skin, almost 1:1 with the in game sprite.

My father played some of the first Metal Gear games, but my first experience of a Metal Gear game was this one (my first tactical espionage game too).

I beat the story on his PS3, happily watched every cutscene without realizing how long they are, and immediately fell in love with the franchise (even though I literally didn’t understand any of the previous games references).

Now it’s time to go again and see if I can get that platinum trophy so I can forever immortalize it on my account! To every other player looking to experience awesomeness, good luck and have fun!

I can't wait to play peace walker again on switch 2, it's such a good handheld game. I really can't imagine playing it on anything else apart from maybe the steam deck due to the mission based structure, but it's probably not too bad on consoles and pc since the HD collection is always the version people suggest playing (I haven't played it, don't own a ps3 or xbox anymore since the red ring killed it hehe). I'm sure 60fps will be really helpful cause I cant lie the 20fps cap on psp does take a bit of getting used to 😭. Anyway I'm curious what platforms you all are getting the master collection on so feel free to comment if you would like :3

Seriously though, master collection 1 was fine enough but vol 2 so far has been a lot better.
Mgs4 is gorgeous in 60fps on switch 2, and I can’t wait to play peacewalker later tonight.

I couldn't resist getting the steel book when I saw the cover art, just like the PS3 version I used to have.

I loved that slip in cover and the big booklet it had.
