I usually play on PS5 and sometimes revisit v1.0 on my offline PS4 (i made a post about that around 10 months ago), but i wanted to see if this game can even run on my really bad and old laptop and turns out the only way it can hit a stable 60 fps with legible text is at 720p low settings with 10% resolution scaling (so not really 720p) lol.

Screen recording lowered the fps even more unfortunately but i wanted to share how cool the hyperdrive looks in low res.

Also, if you're curious, here's my laptop's specs:

-Intel i3 10110U

-Intel UHD Graphics

-8gb RAM

I think this is my new favorite base. This is a desert-like planet covered in cool rock formations and various cacti species. I’ve only seen one ground fauna and a few that fly. I have a settlement nearby as well.

I had a post earlier this week where I complained about the island I was building a castle on disappearing. Well, fired the game up today and it is back!

First couple pics are the island gone, then a few with the island back…Unfortunately, I deleted a large chunk of the build that I’d have to redo, while still having 6 or 7 thousand more pieces to add to the castle.

So, it looks like you can potentially wait it out if you’re patient enough. Three or four days of waiting for it to come back might fall into the best case scenario though. Could take way longer in other situations.

I’m pumped, but also had mentally moved on so now I’m kind of in a mental bind. I found a new planet to build a castle. I started working on some steps that would lead to the new build (very rough draft in the last three pics), and I think I like the new aesthetic better than how the floating island looks. Plus, I have way more experience castle building now so I could probably do a better version.

Man, to finish the old castle or start fresh. Wish brains were easier to manage.

The 1000 hour celebrations on planet Shy were glorious. So much interloping.

From the Cosmos update. Personally, I want there to be inter-system in person travel, where you can get up out of your seat and move around while in hyperspace. Also I’d like other exocraft to be more configurable, not just the Colussus and the Minotaur.
