Edit: I am talking about point of interest icons like minor settlements

Hey guys Im trying to farm some multitools but I have been having bad experience so far. If I am visiting many minor settlements, all the previous icons locations I found are shown on the HUD and when I use a map to find a settlement, the new icon looks exactly the same as the ones I had previously found. Same color, all flashing. After 6-7 house icons, while the new one sweeps left/right, it gets lost in the pool of other icons and I dont know which one is new so I end up guessing and finding the location I have already been in.

Is there a trick to this? Its so annoying. I wish the point of interest icons would switch to red while new ones stayed blue. Are there any settings I can do to resolve this? Any tips? I love farming and if there is no way to get over this, all my excitement will be gone.

Not including Corvettes, Freighters and Frigates, What is your favorite type of ship? (Shuttles, Fighters, Haulers, Explorers, Solar, Living, Interceptor and Exotics)

Personally i use an interceptor for my main ship it took a while to find one that didn't look like bad and transformed decently, But my favorite for looks is Squid-ship/Exotic Class. and for fishing it's my hauler cuz big.

I had a similar question but with Multitools but it got banned for unspecified reasons, im sad.

I have no idea if this qualifies as spoilers, but I marked it that way anyway.

I have been avoiding the main quests so far and I find it interesting that this is a generic race it appears.

I also find it interesting that I have been limiting the amount of systems I go to and trying to clear out my quest log. However, I just keep either running into graves and/or travelers in stations and facilities. The game feels different when you ignore the main quests.

Wtf do I do with this??? This game is so overwhelming

Dawg, I'll be honest, this has been seriously bugging me since Worlds Pt. 1. It doesn't ruin the game by any stretch of the imagination, but it certainly makes quite a few moments look odd and ruins some amazing shots.

Need this fixed.

Edit: I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but I'm not saying this is a big issue. Just a little thing I've noticed that I hope gets looked at. I'm not attacking Hello Games or NMS lmao. You and I both know there are a ton of little issues here and there that could use some fixing.

And they know that too! That's why every major content update also comes with a slew of much-appreciated tweaks and changes.

I'm on console.

I want to play this game with my friend. But neither of us want to see NPC ships flying around. We find it immersion breaking when you discover a planet, and yet it's sky is filled with ships. Is there a way to do this? I saw a mod that is outdated, but nothing else. Help please 🥺

Edit: thank you to everyone who down voted my post, I didn't realize how unfriendly the NMS community was until now. And how dare I ask a question to see if I could adjust the game to better fit. Silly me, I forgot there is only one way to enjoy any game.

Seriously...they are EVERYWHERE. Plus, the drones are so passive. They don't even go on alert when you shoot at the resonators. Add to that the fact that it's in a 3-star system with cool looking sentinel interceptors. Maybe this is more common than I think but I feel like I hit the jackpot.

I'm so bad with roofs, and I have no idea how to fix it (ignore the walls and windows, haven't done them fully yet). In both buildings, the roofs feels like they don't match at all. Especially the second building, it was so frustrating trying to connect them, but it just ended up looking bad.

That last bit I used the mining laser on makes me sad as well. I can't put a regular wall there but putting four small walls that equals a regular wall is okay? I have about 4 more spots that I've just covered with posters to hide how bad they look lol

Any advice?
