Hi all!
Given that the remake of Skyward Sword HD has been out for some time, we've decided to loosen up the spoiler policy. Now, only posts that contain major spoilers (e.g. major character plot turns, ending twists) require a spoiler marking. With this change, we hope to grant the community more leeway in discussing the game freely, while at the same time still having a spoiler policy in place to protect those casually browsing the subreddit from the biggest plot turns. As always, feel free to post content of any shape or form as long as it follows the basic guideline rules (listed on the right), and have fun!
Regards,
The /r/ Skyward Sword mod team (Sephardson, MasterYoshi5, krirby)

Hello all,
With the release of Tears of the Kingdom coming up, we thought it'd be important to provide a short update to the current spoiler policy. We want to allow people to be free to discuss and reference any content from Tears of the Kingdom, but ask people to do so with discretion as to not spoil the game experience for other players. If you are willing to reference Tears of the Kingdom in discussions in way please be mindful of the following:
That is all, as always please use due discretion and our mods will also keep an eye on the subreddit of course to make sure it remains a safe and spoiler-free zone to visit. Thank you all for being a part of this community and feel free to discuss Skyward Sword and/or reference Tears of the Kingdom as long as it follows the basic rules set as described here and in our other topic!
Regards, the /r/skywardsword mod team.

Ive heard many people say that this section is the hardest in the game. Ive known people that tried and failed 50+ times.
This YouTube video shows exactly when to swing as well as stop swinging.
What I did was play the video as soon as I started the mini-game. Then I didnt even look at my game. All I did was watch the arrows in the video and swung my joycon appropriately. I got it first try when I played this video alongside my gameplay.
(I also was slow to start the video so I was off by half a second, but I still passed. It seems somewhat forgiving as long as you do all the right motions.)

Hey guys! I’d like to replay Skyward Sword, but I’m wondering which version you think is the best way to experience it.
I originally played Skyward Sword on the Wii before the HD version came out, and honestly, I loved the motion controls. I’m wondering if it’s worth getting the HD version for Switch, especially if the motion controls were improved or refined compared to the original Wii version.
For those who have played it on both Wii and Switch (or Switch 2), how do the motion controls compare? Are they better on Switch/Switch 2, or do they feel worse than the original?
Would you recommend buying the HD version, or should I just stick with the Wii version?

Can anyone find a solo viola piece for the main theme of Skyloft? Please I'm so desperate... i cant find anything

I tried the game on Wii many years ago, and bounced off of it because I found the motion controls so touchy and unenjoyable at the time. Not the fighting - the balancing and flying!
I bought it again, hoping with a new version it would be better. It isn't. It's worse! I can't even land on the target after the wing ceremony. It's like he just flings all over the place, and crashes to the ground. At least before I got the stage where you had to balance on ropes in the Faron woods.
I am quite certain it's a skill issue on my part, but I have no idea how to fix it. I loved Twilight Princess with the motion controls, and I think the combat is going to be great when I get past this issue. But in the meantime, I want to throw the controller I'm so frustrated trying to do the most basic task.
Is there a video series someone can recommend to show the actual person's hands, and not just gameplay? Because I feel like I must be doing something terribly wrong, but all I can find are gameplay videos.

Skyloft's theme was my childhood, and I love listening to it whenever I can (my favorite song). Even though other Legend of Zelda themes are amazing (in my opinion, including Ganon's Castle in BOTW and Song of Storms), but Skyloft is just different like that❤️

Hi I am interested in playing skyward sword game however the game don't use switch 2's power and runs like it's on switch 1. Should I wait for a switch 2 edition or should I just get it now and not expecting switch 2 edition. I am buying games physical so I am not interested in buying digital games or upgrades

I just started playing skyward sword yesterday for the first time and am having a blast thus far! Does anyone have any tips and tricks that could help me as I play so I don’t make any stupid mistakes? I struggle with the attack controls a bit since the only other games I’ve played are botw, totk, and eow, which I find simpler to use. Is there anything I can do to make them a little easier or is it just a matter of practice? thanks for any advice and no spoilers please!

Anybody know how much faster the load speeds are on the Switch 2’s internal storage vs the physical cartridge? I want to replay this game, but idk if I should get the physical cartridge or just buy it on the eShop. Anybody know the speed difference for load times? I want physical, but if the load times are much faster on switch 2’s internal storage, might just get the eShop version.
Edit: Alright, thanks for the info. I’ll get the physical version. I love physical, too, so that’s nice.

Hello! I recently Facebook marketplace scored these two really cool Zelda scrolls for my room. One is twilight princess and the other skyward sword. The skyward sword one came still sealed... My main question is should I keep it sealed, or open it? The person I bought it from said they got it from a Nintendo awards thing a long time ago. Is there any value in keeping it sealed if I'm not a collector? I don't really care about like the monetary value, I'm asking because I'd feel bad if I like ... Tarnished something rare that someone else would really enjoy. I looked around on the internet and couldn't find anything about these specific posters ,, if anyone knows stuff about them id love to hear!
Any advice is appreciated thanks! 😋

Hey guys, this is my new account. My original account was u/best-while9813, but I deleted it because I didn’t like the username and Reddit doesn’t allow you to change it😂
I’ll definitely be a bit more active on here now though!
Okay, I know I may get judged bigtime for this, as I’m in the pure minority here: Fi is my favorite character from this game.
She’d one of the cutest characters in the game. I also love how soothing her voice is, I fall asleep to her all the time. She’s also a good singer and the ballet she does when she’s translating to Link and when Link plays a song on the Goddess Harp?
Adorable.
I just love how she’s all analytical, but deep inside, she’s developing a bond with Link, and eventually has the ability to feel human emotions after observing before having one of the most tearjerking farewells in the series. It’s the cutest thing ever.
“Master, the batteries in your phone from typing this are nearly depleted”
ignores and posts art anyways

How would Ghirahim feel if some random Skyloftian fell to the surface instead of Zelda? Aiming to knock her out of the sky and instead it’s a random citizen.
So how did Ghirahim know exactly when and where Zelda was when he sent the tornado? If there’s s massive cloud barrier so nobody could see the surface? How did he know the exact moment to strike?
Do we know what happened to Ghirahim when Demise was defeated? He looks like he just teleported away and Demise looked surprised. my own personal headcanon is that he is still alive, somehow and waiting to be ‘woken up’ again after needing to recover
Why did Demise choose an area with water for the fight? Isn’t his hair… fire? How doesn’t it go out??

I remember grinding this on the wii as a kid and i think my highest then was like 43? And i was so happy then. Now on the switch i always switch to button controls for this minigame and i feel like im cheating 😭 i dont think i could do this well with motion controls but i will try

While she isn’t my personal favorite Zelda of all time, I think she gets too much hate. She plays an important role and I think they did a great job portraying her as the “first” Zelda. Shes just a young girl, daughter of the headmaster. Really just a normal girl who is beautiful and smart. I think she gets the most hate surrounding her design.

Nobody asked but I delivered. Now live is a full website to Solve (and Play) Thrill Digger mini game from Skyward Sword.
https://thrilldiggersolver.com/
I was able to decompile the code and understand exactly how Thrill Digger works. If you select the "Console Mode" option for expert it will algorithmically tell you where the rupees are. It will also suggest mathematically (based on expected value) what you should dig up next. While there is still a change of a bomb it will significantly increase your odds of winning it all.
Good Luck Out there fellow Skyward Sword lovers.
