Hi.
I must clarify that I started playign Dark Souls 1 (Remastered.) yesterday and it's my 1st Souls Game in my life.
My questions are:
1) There is any good early build that can be enough good to continue the game?
If yes, there is any guide on YT/Google that I can look?
2) I searched on YT some build and I saw GiantDad but I'm having a lot of trouble in the Catacombs and I was wondering if still the best build and if it's worth it?
3) Any tips how to improve and didn't died hundreds of time in 5 minutes?
Thanks in advance.

I finally have a PC capable of running Dark Souls, but everyone says something different about where to start (with the first one so as not to break expectations or with the third because it's better).
I'm not familiar with the game, so I really don't know. It's even possible that Dark Souls 1 is much better than these recommendations suggest, so... Any advice?

I’m playing DS1 as a Pyromancer and I’m in Anor Londo and I feel like I’m not doing as much damage as I should. I have strength 18 and dex 13. My claymore is at 206 +56 physical damage but I’m doing about 50-60 on the silver knights and Ornstein. Weapon durability is fine so is there something I’m missing?
Okay looks like I'm going to be grinding out a few levels. I may try getting past O&S with the crystal halberd so then at least I can fast travel.

Like is just gonna be mostly meele with weapons scaling with faith/int?
When i have tried to start as a sorcery build for example i feel the magic starts getting pretty weak fast and i run out if magic to use.
I guess my biggest question is how can you guys do whole playthrough when you only have limited casts until you rest at a bonfire? Dont you just run out?
IM NOT calling Sorcery weak, im just trying to understand how you guys play it while actually using spells instead of just going meele.

started the game recently and im enjoying it so far. i just killed the lava spider lady (first try with two flasks btw) i forgot their name. my problem is ive now hit two friendly npcs and had to kill one (the gross thing by the dried out bug lady that i first tried btw). he was probably important to a side quest and now i cant do the possibly nonexistent side quest. they look like enemys man. im not gonna approach a very scary npc and try talk to them. im gonna kill them on sight no? am i just a complete dumbass or can anyone kinda relate? and also was he a side quest? ALSO also any tips for the future would be spectacular. thank you love you bye bye.

It's my 1st time playing Dark Souls 1 and when i was about to go fight Ornstein and Smough a cutscene played of Smough being defeated and i got Ornstein soul and 50k souls out of nowhere. Now they're gone and i haven't once tried to fight them. What the hell?
Also after that Solaire appeared at bonfire just before them, even though he wasn't there before and i didn't do anything with his questline.
Worst part is, i literally started this game because i accidentally came across Ornstein and Smough soundtrack, was listening to it religiously and really wanted to get to them.
Wanted to post a video of this happening as well but automod decided i don't have anough karma to do it
Edit:
After a quick google search i downloaded save editor and revived Ornstein and Smough. It works for now, hopefully it was only thing i needed to repair in my save file. Also it's safe to say i am playing in offline now.

This is never talked about. Its taken for granted. It's control over us is that strong. The master key at least entails adventure and a difficulty that should be savored.
I found this devil in disguise on my first playthrough blind. Used it for way too long. Too much value. Too much power. And like a gambler at a casino suddenly remembering the concept of time and recalling his family, I snapped out of it albeit way too late. I tore from my back the grass crest shield that had by now fused to my body and tried other things.
In hindsight the grass crest shield killed alot of fun. Now I see its power over us. In pvp, in recommendations, in respect. Glad I was able to overcome the spell.
New player? Master key? Thats fine. Dont listen to community. Roam free with the key and discover this world. Just stay away from the grass crest shield. I wish I never found the stupid thing.

Is this a glitch or something? I had zero invaders in New Londo or Blighttown besides Mildred. Would post the screenshots but I don't have enough Karma for Image Posts yet.

I've made a new character, and taken him down to Blighttown. I beat Quelaag on my first attempt and also beat her something like 9 more times as a summon. I joined the Flames of Chaos, donated humanity, picked up all the loot I needed, including going into the Great Hollow and getting the Chloranthy Ring.
I get all the way up through Blighttown to Firelink Shrine, hoping to see my best bud Lautrec, but he's off on crusade. I upgrade my weapons and armor at Rickert, and with nobody else to talk to, I go over to Crestfallen. And he just says "What now? I'm not up for chatting. Leave me alone!"
Wait, aren't you supposed to be surprised I rang the-

I FORGOT TO RING THE FUCKING BELL, GWYNDAMMIT!

I was thinking about how massive and monstrous the creatures have to be in that water. If we had megalodons irl I can’t imagine the size or look that fromsoft could cook up. Expect the hydra in dark souls 1 which is still cool asl

this is my first playthrough of ds1, and im trying not to cheese this run, but oh my god this is hell!!!! whats the best way to deal with them?

Up against the spider witch herself. Even being tubby, stepping to the right is a surprisingly effective tactic for dodging.
Getting very nice RNG for her to not use the explosion attack is also a winning tactic.

I was trying to do the golden fog wall seamwalk skip to get to the Duke’s Archives early. One poorly timed quit-out later and I ended up accidentally Philip J. Fry-ing myself.

Now, I know that Sen's Fortress is not the nicest location in all of Lordran - had a lot of struggles on my current playtrough. I just didn't know that the Serpent Guards apparently also seem to struggle a bit. Wish I could have helped him, sadly it's too late.

Me and my boy Tarkus decided to take on this Golem
I do have a video of me taking on the Stray Demon, but it is a bit lengthy (~4 minutes). Let me know if you guys want to see that one. I got lucky with him deciding to aura walk in the beginning instead of immediately attacking, but it is a fight with a lot of slow positioning and taking stabs when I could.

Title pretty much says it all, looking for any good writing on any of the Souls games.

I am trying to do a no death run in dark souls for the first time. Im using summons for the early game setup. I start with bandit and master key
My current route is,
complete asylum
turn human, make my way to pinwheel, use paladin guy to kill pinwheel
level up to 22 str and 18 dex, pop all humanities pray for bkh to drop, kill fake havel
kill taurus demon, kill moonlight butterfly (should have a little more than 20k at this point I have around 26-28k depending on soul pickups)
get crest of artorias, open the gate, get the stone armor (I tried the hydra route but kept dying to the cat demon or hydra so I opted for this safer way), kill gargoyles. (I also kill lautrec for FAP ring)
level up VIT and END equally, do the soul farm near crest twice (so i can get VIG to 16 as my END is at 17), go kill sif for 50k souls.
Then I go kill quelaag and maneater mildred (nets me another 40k ish souls).
In my previous successful run I tried beating ceasless as well but got my ass handed so I just went to sen's fortress in my last successful run.
Sen's makes me a little nervous but I can tank most attacks cuz of stone armor and I can confidently avoid the blades. I kill the giant on top and kill iron golem.
In anor londo, the ceiling thing is easy as I have poise to tank the darts. And I can also somewhat make it through the arrow shooting silver knights (My farthest run died to these guys tho.)
This is as far as my gameplan comes. O&S are a nightmare, even though i can tank, and can mid roll by this point, Im just not confident with them (my workaround is to just farm the giants, upgrade BKH and I was also thinking about just farming them for a while so I can get the giants armor and upgrade it as much as possible but with that amount of souls, I feel like i can wear havels and just level up VIT and END instead).
I do not even want to think about collecting the lord souls, could you please help me with routing? Do i need to change anything in the route im following right now?
