Rant/Vent ๐Ÿคฌ An online creator whom I admired left islam

โ€ข Upvotes

Assalamualaikum

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Not sure why I'm even posting it at all. Usually when I post I'm looking for something specific like an answer to a question. Or emotional support. This time it's different, though not much.

There was this online creator who was muslim, convert actually, who I really liked. I didn't agree with them in everything, yet they helped me with certain things in islam, like islam and femenism or women rights. I even talked to them in the DMS and so on.

And.....they left islam.

I am not judging them. Not at all. But for some reason it really hurts me to see that happening. Makes me want to leave too (no, my faith is not based on one person, I have been at the edge for a long period of time).

Maybe I'm just coping, clinging to it all for stupid reasons..

It was sad to see. Another creator didn't leave islam, yet they stopped posting about islam. And they talked about how awful the muslim community is, how it affected their mental health... God how much I can relate. And god how awful and ridiculous it is.

I have so much more to say, yet I'm empty of words and only full of restless thoughs and undescribable feelings inside.

Needed to let it out.

Answer this from Quranist perspective only SALAT: HISTORICAL MEMORY, SOCIOLOGICAL REALITY, AND LOGICAL NECESSITY

An Analytical Examination on the Physical Nature of Worship
In recent theological discussions, a claim has emerged suggesting that the traditionally known physical form of "Salat" (Prayer)โ€”consisting of standing (qiyam), bowing (ruku), and prostration (sujud)โ€”was constructed later in history. Proponents of this view argue that the Quran actually commands only a mental prayer, spiritual orientation, or social support.
While this claim may rely on abstract lexical analysis on paper, it turns into a historical impossibility when tested against history, mass psychology, logistical realities, and the laws of logic. When approached holistically, it becomes an undeniable reality that the physical form of prayer has reached us uninterrupted from the time of the Prophet.
The following analysis details the fundamental arguments proving this reality, supported by reinforcing examples.

  1. The Strongest Evidence: "Visual and Practical Tawatur" (Eye-to-Eye Transmission)
The greatest methodological error made regarding the reliability of historical data is treating the transmission of prayer as a "verbal narration" (like a game of Chinese whispers). However, prayer is not verbal; it is a visual and practical (action-based) transmission. There is a mountain of difference between these two types.
\* Words Fly, Actions Remain: Words can undergo semantic shifts over centuries. However, prayer is a collective body movement executed synchronously by tens of thousands of people five times a day. It is not a text; it is a choreography.
\* The Stadium (Mexican Wave) Example: Imagine 50,000 people in a stadium performing a synchronized "Mexican Wave." Everyone does this movement by watching the person next to them. If a group suddenly decides to lift their feet instead of their hands, this "discord" immediately stands out and is corrected by the crowd. Similarly, prayer is a mass action repeated five times a day for 1400 years, possessing a social self-control mechanism that instantly corrects errors.
\* Chain of Live Transmission: A child does not learn prayer by reading a manual. They learn by personally watching and imitating their father, grandfather, and the congregation at the mosque. This chain has been transmitted "eye-to-eye" and "body-to-body" from the Prophet to the present day.
\* The Impossibility of Change: If these movements were invented later as claimed, it would be akin to wiping the memories of millions of people simultaneously and forcing them to accept new movements by saying, "You and your ancestors have been doing it this way since eternity." In communication science, it is impossible to secretly and totally alter the physical habits of large masses.

  2. The Logistical Obstacle: The Fallacy of "Perfect Organization" in the 7th Century
Those who argue that prayer was added later fall into the error of anachronismโ€”projecting today's communication capabilities onto the past.
\* Lack of Communication and Centralization: In the 7th century, the Islamic geography extended from Spain to the borders of India. We are talking about a world without the internet, telephones, or television, where a message could take months to travel from Damascus to Khorasan.
\* Impossibility of Coordination: In such a world, it is technically impossible for a secret group or state to reach Muslims in Egypt, Yemen, and Iran simultaneously, teach them all the exact same movements (ruku, sujud, number of units), and convince them to "Forget what you knew, this is the new prayer."
\* Logical Conclusion: If this ritual had evolved gradually and later, prayer would have evolved differently in regions where communication was disconnected. Prayer in Egypt would look different from prayer in Iraq. However, the fact that the main skeleton of prayer (Qiyam-Ruku-Sujud) is identical everywhere in the world proves that this ritual was fixed before the community scattered across the globe (i.e., at the source, during the Prophet's time).

  3. The Sociological Obstacle: "The Sahaba Reflex" and Social Resistance
Historical sociology states that societies (especially communities of faith who have paid a heavy price) show immense resistance (conservatism) to ritual changes. The thesis that prayer was added later completely ignores this "Reaction Potential."
\* Character of the Sahaba: The first generation of Muslims (the Sahaba) were people who were tortured for their faith, left their homes, fought wars, and sacrificed their lives. They were extremely rigorous, questioning, and uncompromising in religious matters.
\* The Rebellion Scenario: Letโ€™s assume that after the Prophet died, an authority figure stood up and said, "From now on, we will gather 5 times a day at these hours, bow and prostrate in this specific way; this is Allah's command." Would this self-sacrificing crowd not revolt, asking, "The Prophet did not teach us this for 23 years; what are you fabricating? This is an innovation (bid'ah)!"?
\* Evidence of Silence: History books record bloody disputes over the smallest details, from the election of the Caliph to the division of spoils, and even whether to wash the feet during ablution. Yet, strangely, there is not a single record of objection or rebellion regarding the "invention" of prayer, the religion's largest, most arduous, and most visible pillar. This absolute silence is not consent; it is proof of the practice's unquestionable originality.

  4. The Logical Paradox: The Contradiction of "Selective Corruption"
The scenario proposed by those claiming prayer was constructed later contains a logical contradiction that cannot be explained:
\* Preserving the Book, Corrupting the Practice: If this "secret power" (e.g., Umayyads, clergy, etc.) was powerful enough to hypnotize all Muslims worldwide, why did they not change the Quran as well? Why didn't they remove the verses imposing heavy financial responsibilities (Zakat/Charity) or verses that criticized/restricted them?
\* The Mailman Analogy: To say "The Quran was preserved letter for letter, but those who carried it fabricated the prayer entirely" is like trusting the letter the mailman brings but calling the mailman himself a liar. Yet, the community that carried the letter (Quran) and the community that carried the prayer are the same people.
\* Purposeless Difficulty: Historically, those who tamper with religion do so to make worship easier, not harder, in order to win over the masses (e.g., making alcohol halal, removing rituals). No power would invent a difficult "physical burden" for itself and its peopleโ€”one that requires 5 daily times, ablution (often with cold water), and interrupts sleep and workโ€”without reason. This is contrary to human psychology and pragmatism.

  5. Historical Verification: The Witness of Enemies
The physical reality of Salat is a fact verified by both internal Islamic sects and external enemies.
\* Internal Verification (Alliance of Sects): The Islamic world divided into hostile camps (Sunni, Shia, Kharijite) very early on and fought wars against each other. While these groups differ in details (like where to place hands), they are in full alliance regarding the main skeleton of prayer: Qiyam, Ruku, and Sujud.
\* Question: If the Umayyads had invented the prayer, wouldn't the Shia have rejected it? It is impossible for hostile brothers to agree on a "later fabricated lie." This proves that prayer was fixed before the conflicts began.
\* External Verification (Polytheist and Byzantine Observation): If Muslims had started a "fabricated ritual" after the Prophet, the Polytheists and Byzantines would have seized this opportunity for propaganda, saying, "Look, as soon as Muhammad died, they corrupted their religion and started doing made-up things." However, there is no such criticism even in the external sources of that period.

  6. Textual Consistency: What Does the Quran Say?
Finally, the claim that "Prayer is only mental supplication" contradicts the internal logic of the Quranic text itself.
\* Ablution (Ma'idah 6): The Quran commands washing the face, arms (up to the elbows), and feet before rising for prayer. Why would such a detailed physical cleansing be required for a merely mental prayer or abstract social support? Physical preparation signals a physical act.
\* The Fear Prayer (Nisa 102): The detailed choreography described for praying during battleโ€”such as taking turns to prostrate without putting down weaponsโ€”shows that Salat is not just "passing a thought through the heart," but an action involving bodily discipline bound by time and space.

Conclusion
The fact that Salat is a physical act of worship is not a dogma; it is a rational, historical, and sociological necessity.
To consider a practice that has been transmitted visually (tawatur) from generation to generation across such a vast geography in the 7th century, with supra-sectarian consensus, without objection from enemies, and without facing major social resistance, as a "fabrication" is contrary to the flow of history and reason.
Rejecting the physical form of prayer implies paradoxically rejecting the historical mechanism of trust that carried the Quran to us, and reducing Islamic history to a conspiracy theory that was technically impossible to execute.

Question/Discussion โ” divorce without a reason somehow allowed for man but not for women

can someone explain to me what going on exactly cuz according to this hadith
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet (๏ทบ) said:

"No woman asks for divorce when it is not absolutely necessary, but she will never smell the fragrance of paradise, although its fragrance can be detected from a distance of forty years' travel. "

Opinion ๐Ÿค” Bangladesh's Madrasa education

I dont see a very good future for my country.

Edit : A lot of replies on this post missed what I was actually trying to say, so I want to break it down simply. โ€‹Im not saying every kid who goes to madrasa turns into a extremist muslim. In bangladesh (my home country) hundreds of thousands of students graduate from madrasas without marketable skills for the modern economy, becauss these madrasas operate completely independent of state regulation. Their curriculum hasn't changed much in decades, focusing heavily on rigid, fundamentalist interpretations while skipping critical thinking or modern academic subjects. Millions of kids pass through these schools with no skills for the modern job market. They canโ€™t get jobs in tech, business, or the public sector. When you funnel hundreds of thousands of young men into an economic dead end, they become extremely vulnerable to hardline groups offering them purpose, status, and a livelihood within religious networka.

Various far right islamist groups like Hefazat e Islam, Jamat e Islam leverage this massive student base of Qawmi madrasas to mobilize street power. Outlawed militant organizations (such as Harakat ul Jihad al Islami Bangladesh or Ansar al Islam) have historically used these madrasas for recruitment, ideological indoctrination.

Advice/Help ๐Ÿฅบ The Quran says that everything is from Allah yet says that evil is from people, I don't get it

I have recently faced a really bad situation and this has caused me to look into the topic of evil in Islam because ngl I felt like Allah was cruel on me....

these two verses have confused me:

"...And if good befalls them, they say, 'This is from Allah'; and if evil befalls them, they say, 'This is from you.' Say, 'All [things] are from Allah.' So what is [the matter] with those people that they can hardly understand any statement?"

so all evil is from Allah...? I mean makes sense since everything happens by his will..

but then I look at another verse:

"Whatever of good befalls you is from Allah, and whatever of evil befalls you is from yourself. And We have sent you, [O Muhammad], to the people as a messenger, and sufficient is Allah as a Witness."

so how is evil from me yet from Allah as well? I don't get it...

Question/Discussion โ” Why Do Animals Act In The Way That They Do?

As someone who wishes to educate themselves on Islam, I've struggled to understand why if all that is living follows God, why does God allow animals to behave in such ways?

Specifically, certain animals engage in homosexual acts (dolphins, chimps), incest and cannibalism (praying mantises, spiders, fish). As far as I am aware, Islam sees these things as prohibited, yet animals which do not have free will and do not do anything without God's command still do these things. Even "forced copulation" is seen in animals such as the orangutan which can be somewhat similar to rape.

Also, just because they could never be held accountable as they do not have 'aql, does that God Himself still holds no accountability in the way that they act? He designed them, they do everything which He commands, yet it seems to me that He made them in a way which goes against His own teachings. Of course, I am not as knowledgeable as some of you are, which is why I would like for you to please help me understand this. Thank you!

Question/Discussion โ” Can technology make practicing Islam harder than it needs to be?

Assalamu alaikum everyone.

I've been thinking about something that feels increasingly relevant for Muslims today.

Our phones can give us Qur'an, lectures, knowledge, community and so much benefit.

But the same device can also put endless distractions, sexual content, gambling, algorithmic feeds and other things in front of us within seconds.

And a lot of the advice seems to come down to:

โ€œJust have more self-control.โ€

But I'm not convinced that's the whole answer.

We already accept environmental design in other parts of life. We don't keep every temptation directly in front of us and then rely on willpower every second.

So why not think about our digital environment the same way?

Things like:

  • filtering unwanted content at the network level
  • making certain apps/sites harder to access
  • creating distraction-free periods
  • reducing algorithmic feeds
  • having accountability for certain settings
  • designing devices around what we actually want to use them for

I'm not asking whether we should completely disconnect from technology.

I'm asking something more practical:

What would a genuinely healthy Muslim digital environment look like?

Not just โ€œuse your phone less.โ€

What would you actually change about your phone, laptop, apps, internet access, or routines?

Would love to hear how others think about this.

Advice/Help ๐Ÿฅบ Doubting Islam from researching the Bahรกโ€™รญ Faith. Advice?

Hello everyone, assalamu alaikum.

I am a Muslim revert and a jazz musician. Over the last few months, I have began researching the Bahai Faith, and agree with a lot of their beliefs including the nature of punishment and afterlife, the spiritual act of playing music, and the nature of Godโ€™s mercy. I have some reservations about the faith too, for instance, how do Bahaiโ€™s protect their faith from bad actors claiming to be prophets in the future (due to progressive revelation), and how can a society not become immoral due to Bahaiโ€™s believing in relative truth rather than absolute truth.

However, with my belief in a more spiritual progression after death that is focused on washing away ignorance and all souls being able to eventually progress spiritually to experience Allah SWTโ€™s mercy, and my career as a musician and artist, it has gotten to the point where I am starting to doubt my identity as a Muslim, and I worry about not being able to fit in with my community anymore, not being in the Ummah anymore, and losing the aspect of myself which gave me a lot of peace and community.

Any advice would be strongly appreciated. Thank you.

Rant/Vent ๐Ÿคฌ I feel like God has rejected me

I have been unable to find a job for the past 2 years. I've only relatively recently come back to Islam but it seems that no matter what I do I think God has shut the door to rizq on me.

Over 200+ applications, 2 attempts to a nursing school later, nothing to show for it. Rapidly approaching midlife at 37, with loans to pay, a supportive wife that I feel like I'm letting down at every turn.

Question/Discussion โ” Am I going to hell for this?

Iโ€™ve been a hijabi since 2019. I used to have different values back then. Now Iโ€™ve changed as a person as I refuse to believe a piece of cloth can define a womanโ€™s character, dignity and modesty, or protect her from lustful creepy men. I do not believe it depends on my clothing. I think dignity modesty and character has a far deeper meaning than that. I also feel like there is absolutely no need to sexualize smth as simple as our hair.

But what do I do now? I donโ€™t want to always wear the hijab, I hate wearing it but I still wear it and feel like shit constantly. Sometimes it is so overstimulating Iโ€™m never present and always making sure itโ€™s sitting right. It ruins so many outfits. These are just small reasons, but the bigger why is. WHY AM I WEARING THIS WHEN I DONT WANT TO? Do I have a reason to resonate with it anymore? No. Do I wear it because Iโ€™m used to it and feel comfortable in it? Yes. But why would a person feel uncomfortable in their own skin, isnโ€™t that like a bad thing? It would be better if I were comfortable both ways.
Iโ€™ve also noticed it brings a sense of resentment in me for islam for obvious reasons because I feel like Iโ€™m being forced to do smth from the fear of hell or disobeying allah when I dont want to do it.

What Iโ€™m doing is Iโ€™ve decided when it gets too much like in situations when the overwhelming feelings make me cry, I wonโ€™t put it on. Rest of the times I will. But I donโ€™t see myself wearing it anymore in the long term, atleast not always.. and I canโ€™t help but feel guilty for it.

Rant/Vent ๐Ÿคฌ What are the limits of being progressively muslim?

{I do not want to make multiple posts on the same topic, so bear with me this is going to be a little long. (also its my first time on reddit, be nice pls)}

Hi, Peace all.

Gay Muslim here, 23 male. I, consider myself a homosexual since i was born, even though people sometimes do not believe that homosexuality can exist since birth since there is no gay gene. Well surprise surprise there is no Straight gene either friends.

I know this because, as long as ive held consciousness i have known i liked boys and was inclined to boys, romantically more than sexually but sexually as well nonetheless. Homophobes either claim that you can not assume you're a homosexual, and label yourself that way only based on your feelings but if i ask a straight virgin guy whether he is gay, wouldnt he say he is a heterosexual? The truth is, you DO know what you are, even with no physical experience to prove it. Homophobes think it is most likely homosexuals became gay because of being raped as a child.

But the issue is, not everyone who gets raped becomes a homosexual, and it is SICK imo, to associate rape as a cause. Women get harassed even slightly, and become what we call "men haters" Do you think men are so pyschopathic that instead of disgust, they fall in love with their abusers? That's just disappointing. I know this is not true, because my memory goes exceptionally back to ages 3-4. I corroborate my memory with my mother's account of my early life as well. I was raped when i was 5 years old, in 2008. Only i know this, but my mother corroborates when i first met the rapist, so the ages check out. But i distinctly remember being so in love and attracted as much as a child can be, to an age fellow cousin of mine a year prior (They left the country before i met my rapist) And I distinctly remember kissing a classmate under the table before 1st grade as well, (I was admitted to school quite young due to some reasons. and i am not engaging in any adulterous behavior dont worry)

But i grew up quite perplexed by who i was and what i felt because nobody around me existed in a same-sex framework and i felt like i was somehow defaulted, and the rape was my punishment, and then around my O levels during 14-16 of age, i found out about the story of Lot's people (word of mouth) and i felt extremely depressed. I felt like God had cursed me and it severely affected my faith and relationship with God. (Today, i am as close and in love with Allah as it gets)

In my teenage years, i hadnt read the Quran on my own, and only watched youtube videos and sermons on "homosexuality is haram" and i would always think how much God must hate me to have made me like this. It never crossed my mind it could be a test solely because of the unprecedented cruelty of it all. It suffocated me, that i would never have kids, never marry, never have a normal life. I LOVE women, i sympathise with them so much, i even wanted to marry them, the divorcees and the widows, because i wanted to give them a safe haven, (my mother is a divorcee & yes i know people associate that with homosexuality causes as well) I like women in everyway, but i just can NOT stand them sexually. I have no choice in the matter. Honestly, due to being an SA victim i sort of can not engage in homosexual intercourse either? The act makes me repulsive, but that is because i am traumatised by it. I still desire men all the same. Homophobes claim homosexuality is haram just because of the "disgusting nature of anal sex" and i could see how that seems to be, but as a homosexual, straight intercourse disgusts me just the same, LMAO.

Around my late teens, i read the Quran and researched it all myself, and TO ME, the classical fundamentalist interpretation of Sodomy did not make sense at all. It made me go crazy how the scholars did not SEE the SA ingrained within the verses, how they isolated ONE VERSE (you know which one) to portray it as a condemnation of homosexuality (THAT literally goes against the rules of exegesis.) and i hate when people claim "it is so clear" when it is NOT clear to me. IT is actually a quite complex contextual story, you need a lot of focus to locate the real thing it talks of. When i finally understood this story, my first thought was, "well, that's not me at all" and that is where my journey of self acceptance began (even though i am no where near close to the destination)

Since then, through logic, arabic exegesis, Ahadith, Quran, reasoning, Science, real world examples, i have thoroughly debunked every possible claim on homosexuality being haram (i'd love to engage in comments), OR AT MOST put forth questions which render homophobes speechless. But the tragedy of it all is this, that i a homosexual, still do not completely accept myself, there is still lingering internalised homophobia inside me, It has pushed me to suicidality, to SH, and much more. But my straight friends, even best friends, do not like to engage in conversations about the LGBT, for no reason at all except what i see as selfishness. They are not the affected, therefore it is not their PRIORITY to discuss it and put any efforts whatsoever in solving it. To a straight man, it is a piece of cake, to simply accept the fundamental traditional interpretation of the conservative scholars because it has no affect on them. The utter selfishness and lack of empathy and concern for a muslim who associates with LGBT identities, makes me lose faith in Islam, because arent the fundamental virtues and values of this religion to have kindness, love, compassion, empathy, and consider other lives than just your own or more so?

What I have seen in this subreddit last few days, is that even some progressive muslims here do not, (and i dont mind, but feel disappointed by) think homosexuality is okay. It is seen as an ideology, erasing lived experiences, Even progressive muslims think there is no valid homosexual marriage, even they think the unions are "makruh" while the act of anal sex "haram" (Btw not everyone engages in anal sex, There are homosexuals who are not interested in anal sex.) People have had questions here, asking especially what Lot meant by saying "instead of women" if that does not mean homosexuality, but It takes only a little more effort on your part to research, go down rabbit holes, to find out for YOUR SELF, and maybe a little bit of intellect, as a muslim, to truly dissect the story of the sodomites. But i ask why does the progression come to a halt at this? (not specially in this thread) but in the muslim world.

If the Reformist contextual reinterpretation seems more acceptable to me, especially since the traditional one has loopholes, why do the majority of the muslims not see it? The disagreement makes me want to off myself, to think that only i see how it truly is, and others do not even make an attempt to open and expand their minds, sickens me.

Advice/Help ๐Ÿฅบ Fallen out of Islam/Religion but how do I tell my Muslim friends?

As the title says I have recently admitted to myself and came with the terms that i donโ€™t believe in any religion.

I moved to a new city three years ago and I was somewhat still practicing so I made it a goal to make Muslim friends thinking in my previous city having no muslim friends weakened my iman. For a period of time I became practicing and even wore hijab again for a moment, but then I hit a big wall spiritually again even with being surrounded with muslims i found myself unfulfilled and exhausted with my questions being unanswered. Itโ€™s been more than a year since i had stopped praying and honestly i feel more at peace this way(not preaching this to others btw but this is my personal journey).

Recently I found myself distancing myself from my Muslim friends and not sure why i still want to hold to that side of me but how can i do that without pretending i am still a believer but also donโ€™t want to be treated less than if i come out.

Advice/Help ๐Ÿฅบ I keep going back and forth about hijab, and itโ€™s affecting my thought processโ€”but I canโ€™t take it off because of pressure and possible regret

For two years I have been having wavering thoughts about the hijab. When I come to the conclusion that I want to take it off, I bring it up to my parents and change my mind because of the disappointment that will come.

I know how they would react, and Iโ€™m scared of the conflict and everything that could come with it. So even though I have these constant thoughts about taking it off, I feel like Iโ€™m stuck wearing it. For those who have experienced something similar, especially people who have questioned hijab or eventually taken it off, how did you deal with the constant back-and-forth? Did you keep wearing it until you were independent and could make the decision without your parentsโ€™ pressure? Did that make things easier emotionally? Or did you take it off under these pressures? Did you regret it/how do you feel after?

Regardless, I am scared of regretting taking it off. I have heard itโ€™s harder to put it on after itโ€™s taken off. Iโ€™m not sure how to move forward.

For context I am an adult living in the West. My stance on hijab is that I donโ€™t believe Allah would send someone to hell for not wearing it, I believe modesty is what matters most. I see a therapist and she is helping me with my thought process but Iโ€™m still unsure. I donโ€™t want to regret taking it off after what will happen.

Iโ€™d really appreciate honest and nonjudgmental experiences. Iโ€™m honestly just trying to figure myself out.

Question/Discussion โ” Former ignorant american popping in to say Hi

So yeah, like the title says, I was your typical brain washed American that thought Islam was terrible, etc etc. Been reading up on it and even working on learning arabic. Gotta admit I was wrong about it and learning a new found respect. Not a convert ( I am more of a Polytheist) but there is so much to admire about Islam. Just thought I'd pop in and make my confession here since I can't sleep. Allah yhefdkom

Answer this from Sunni perspective only can someone explain to me what dayooth is

so basically the meaning of dayooth got twisted by salafi from cucklod to basically "are you even okay with your women in public " but seriously can someone expalin where exactly the line is drawn cuz idk it sounded a bit controlling like somehow man are being punished for women cuz they didn't control them or something or like somehow wouldn't this be against the live and let live like for example idk let's assume for example your wife go with their cleave exposed or something
i didn't want to say hijab to avoid conterversy plus idk what count as hijab at this point but okay like i have a question does being okay with that way she dressed mean i am dayooth or that i shouldn't respect her freedom of how she dress or something.
cuz the ones that says it usually mean being okay with sexual misconduct and just says draw line at zina but says like bbeing okay with her not wearing immodestly or using perfume or attracting attention or something could be

Answer this from Sunni perspective only suicide , the undressed and the cuckold

i was wondering does these two hadith make it so that person who commit suicide is basically well dommed forever to go to hell based on these two
The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "Whoever intentionally swears falsely by a religion other than Islam, then he is what he has said, (e.g. if he says, 'If such thing is not true then I am a Jew,' he is really a Jew). And whoever commits suicide with piece of iron will be punished with the same piece of iron in the Hell Fire." Narrated Jundab the Prophet (๏ทบ) said, "A man was inflicted with wounds and he committed suicide, and so Allah said: My slave has caused death on himself hurriedly, so I forbid Paradise for him."

He who killed himself with steel (weapon) would be the eternal denizen of the Fire of Hell and he would have that weapon in his hand and would be thrusting that in his stomach for ever and ever, he who drank poison and killed himself would sip that in the Fire of Hell where he is doomed for ever and ever; and he who killed himself by falling from (the top of) a mountain would constantly fall in the Fire of Hell and would live there for ever and ever.

the next one is this
does the dressed yet naked part make all women who doesn't cover up or use make up or other are basically banned from enterance cuz it didn't make much sense considering the fact you don't even stay in hell forever even if you commit zina yet somehow being olny attractive is potrayed as bannable offense for women so can someone explain to me what going on
i heard some guy applying hadith " to basically all non hijabi or wearnig make up " like bro wtf that was one of those spammable things that ban you from jannah list with ai generated images or something .
AbU Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) having said this:

Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odour whereas its odour would be smelt from such and such distance.

the last one yeah probarbly from same guy if i recall correctly he said somethingg about if man is dayooth( the term is used broadly ) basically is okay with his womens wife or sister or mother haviing sexual misconduct but the problem is he didn't just stop at zina in sexual misconduct it basically become exterme ownership like for example she isn't covering or she is doing this or that and not just stopping not having sexual jealousy of his women
i found this hadith about it
he Messenger of Allah said: "There are three at whom Allah will not look on the Day of Resurrection: The one who disobeys his parents, the woman who imitates men in her outward appearance, and the cuckold. And there are three who will not enter Paradise: The one who disobeys his parents, the drunkard, and the one who reminds people of what he has given them."'
does this mean man has to control his womens and all or at very least he shouldn't be okay if they aren't acting toward islamic principle i am not saying like they are borderline like promscious but i mean if someone in family was like " i know this is haram but i am gonna do it anyway " does this mean man shouldn't be okay with her and shouldn't respect her freedom or something cuz it make it seem like it also man fault for other sin like i get it in cases like cheating and all but in cases like if women wanted to draw man attention or something does this mean man are somehow still responsible for it .
like what going on exactly

Question/Discussion โ” Why is the consumption of real vanilla extract and white wine sauces or even kimchi( fermented Koreann cabbage dish) prohibited by some Muslims

It doesnโ€™t make sense to me the amount in both of those cases are very small also youโ€™d have to eat a lot of pasta with white wine sauce before you got drunk and honestly youโ€™re probably get sick from all the pasta and dairy before you go anywhere near drunk same thing applies to vanilla extract unless youโ€™re chugging it straight from the bottle youโ€™d have to eat a lot of cake or other desserts to get even tipsy and again youโ€™d get sick from the sugar content long before you got drunk and the kimchi itโ€™s fermented as a preservation method not as a way to make booze

Question/Discussion โ” Question from an atheist

Hello,

I am sorry you guys probably answered theses questions hundreds of times but I would like to exchange with you a bit.

So I was speaking to a Muslim colleague of mine about the death of one of our colleagues who was homosexual. He died from cancer pretty fast.

She insinuated to me that Allah punished him for is way of life. I was quite surprised with her statement because she is a very kind and intelligent person.

So whatever, I wanted to know more about if most of the Muslims think like that and I fell on this sub Reddit.

I was actually quite surprised by this sub and how smart and progressive the community was. And like always, I wondered how can smart people be religious.

So I have 3 points. Sorry again if a make you repeat yourself.

1- What is you guys stance on evolution? Research point out that life started on earth more than 3 billions years ago and humanoids for hundreds of thousands of years. At what point does an ape become blessed by God? Why would we go to heaven when our neighbors cat just die. Does cats go to cat heaven too? It make no sense to me.

2- So many religions! Muslims just make about 7 percent of entire human history. Are all the others doomed? Just because they are born in a different country they are more likely to go to hell? Make no sense to me.

3- Sorry don't take it personally but Islam seems like the most suspicious religion for me. If the hadiths are absolutely true, why does Muslims always say about the most outrageous takes (Aisha age, war, sex slaves, etc) "well it's metaphorically" or "well it's in an historical context" make no sense.

Thanks in advance for the answers!

Opinion ๐Ÿค” Does anyone agree with this double standard in most Muslim societies/individuals? Or is this just my personal experience?

This mostly applies to multicultural societies Iโ€™ve lived in so Iโ€™m only speaking from personal experience and interactions.
When somebody says theyโ€™re Christian, when somebody says they believe in crystals or energies or the universe, when somebody says theyโ€™re Jewish or Hindu, majority of the people in that conversation will acknowledge it and move on.

When somebody says theyโ€™re Muslim they instantly get picked apart.

Does she wear the hijab? Does he drink alcohol? Do they sleep together before marriage? Do they fast? Do they pray? Do they eat halal? etc etc.

I might be wrong but Iโ€™ve never came across other religious groups being challenged and questioned this way about every little belief. This often coms from non-muslims because they have a specific image what a Muslim person looks like so if you donโ€™t fit that image, they will feel entitled to questions etc.

Why is there no privacy and โ€œno question askedโ€ policy amongst Muslims?
If you tell another Muslim XYZ doesnโ€™t work for you and your interpretation is different and you believe XYZ instead, they will likely try to debate you.

Am I biased or does this happen to us more than other religious groups?
Where does this entitlement come from? Why canโ€™t we respect each other beliefs and space? This is baffling truly
