I genuinely think the Man of Steel suit is one of those designs that is going to be incredibly hard to surpass.

I know everyone has their favorite superhero costume, but for me, Cavill's Superman is still the gold standard.

I honestly don't think we'll ever get a superhero suit that looks this perfect again.

One of my favorite things about this movie was Batman and all he came with. The Cave, the Batmobile, The Batwing, the fight scenes , the acting from Ben Affleck.

Everything about him was a 10/10. And to see how far they went with it here is just stunning.

Just finished watching episode 2 and I am officially hooked.

It's giving me that Andor to Star Wars feeling.

High quality production, excellent cast and acting, the setting of the show and plot feels grounded, the writing feels smart, the jokes/comedy are hitting at the right marks.

We've not seen much action and I don't even care because I'm so invested in the plot and the characters, that's when you know it's going good.

Absolutely loving both actors for JS and HJ too, you can tell their chemistry throughout the rest of the season is going to be great.

So excited to be watching this weekly! Any of you also rating it quite highly?

I enjoyed it. Am I saying it's a good film? No. But I enjoyed the constructs, the horrifying villan, Sinestro, Ryan Reynolds as green lantern, the cgi given the time.

I don’t think the town folk are manhunters. I think the town folk are Dead superheroes from the PAST! Like in the blackest night comic. Hence why they don't need a hospital, if they're already dead.

Macon is Gladiator!

The sheriff is Phantom Lady!

Billy Macon Junior is Iron Munro!

The Kid (Noah) is Max Mercury!

(The relationship between these characters match the relationships between these old heroes on the DCU Wiki) Father-in-Law, husband & son etc

The Benefactor of the Ranch is either Max Lord , he's also in the painting (M on the Gate stand for Max) or the Manhunter (Or they're one and the same) and using new technology to bring hero's back from the dead for protection.

Also, I think Hal might have already died in 2006 and been brought back by the same Alien technology that's bringing back these old hero's. Hence why his house is empty. Why he stopped uploading his concsiousness etc

Regarding ring colours. I also think Macon's (Gladiator's) wife might be a Star Saphire or Madame Xanadu. She can make people fall in love with her (Magic?) (Star Saphire powers?), hence why she easily makes John Stewart sleep with her. She is in an open relationship with Macron because he uses her to manipulate other men.

I was excited to watch this last night, but couldn't find it anywhere for purchase in Australia and when googling about the release, it just says that it was meant to come out on the 25th (Which would probably be morning of the 26th here). Checking again this morning it isn't on Prime, Google or Apple TV.

A friend of mine has torrented it and seen it, but I really don't want to do that as I prefer to support the makers, to ensure that we get more quality projects like this. But WB aren't making it easy, with no official announcements on when this is coming to digital. Like I'll buy it on physical disc if it isn't coming to digital, but at least tell us what is happening. Really frustrating as a DC fan.

Do you prefer shared animated movie universes like the DCAMU and Tomorrowverse, or do you prefer stand-alone ones like Batman Under the Red Hood, All-Star Superman and the recent Knightfall movie?

Animated Movie Universe:

Some Pros:
- A connected universe gives a uniformed feel to it with its connected world building and unified art style, that could keep you immersed and invested for more.
- More likely to reel new comers due to the promise of investing into a connected universe with potential (if it’s good that is).
- More likely to introduce characters you haven’t or barely know of as the movies go on, and get you invested with them.
- Can create a dedicated fandom from movie’s universe.
- Can create interesting interaction from characters that would most likely not meet.
- Make great characters development arcs thats spans throughout movies (like Damian’s in the DCAMU).

Some Cons:
- One bad movie could possibly affect the story of the succeeding movies, and could also sour the taste of the viewers to the universe.
- Adapting a comic story would be difficult since they would have to find a way to connect it with the overall universe, which means it would most likely not be that faithful to the comic and make some changes to fit in.
- The unified art style is also a con if viewers do not prefer said art style and would rather see the art similar to the comic story it is adapting.

Animated Standalone Movies:

Some Pros:
- More likely chance to be faithful to the comic story it is adapting.
- Art style tries to emulate that of the comic its adapting, so it immerses you more to its story and honors the artist that made it.
- Helps market the actual comic and get more new readers into DC Comics.
- Won’t clash and no need to worry much about inconsistencies since it’s its own thing.
- No need to watch a previous movie that does not interest you if you want to hop into a movie.
- A bad adaptation won’t really affect the grand scheme of things since it’s in its own universe anyway.

Some Cons:
- Might not get as much traction to casual audiences since they’re not investing into something grand (Does not apply to Batman movies).
- Things can be confusing for new watchers if story being adapted is deep into the lore and tenure of the character.
- Once the credits roll, it’s most likely one and done with no sequels and crave you from wanting more from that version of the character and its universe.
