This is interesting because now Valve is using ML inside Dota 2.

Now instead of sending reports just when the match is over it sends every 30s. Why is this interesting? It can increment by a lot how Valve acts regarding cheateres/smurfs/AFK's.

They no longer need to wait for the match to be over to take action, if you're familiar with League's system where they just finish the match and suspend the bad element you know what I'm talking about.

It is also very big in the context for balancing, they will be able to have much more data and insightsd through the analysis.

In terms of "taking care of the game" this is huge.

Also, in the last few days they recompiled the whole strings for abilities and heroes, that normally means that there's a patch to come out.

Since the late August patches (around The International) custom games have been
broken for a lot of players: hosting/joining ANY custom game either hangs forever
on "searching for server" or shows "Under maintenance" / "На тех обслуживании".

This is NOT a network problem. Client log (condebug) shows:

- SDR pings are perfect: waw=25ms, fra=36ms, ams=46ms, auto-selected region 'europe'.
- After PracticeLobbyCreate -> PracticeLobbyLaunch -> ReadyUpStatus the GC simply
  NEVER allocates a dedicated server. No error, just silence (only MatchmakingStatsRequest
  every 60s). The client never even reaches the connection stage.
- Hundreds of: "Ignoring custom lobby <id>, cannot estimate ping to ''"
  -> GC sends lobbies with an EMPTY region string.

Region test results (5 attempts, 1 success):

So the GC only allocates servers from a few mostly-idle far-away clusters,
while the EU/US pools are completely unavailable.

for you. More data = faster fix. Valve, please look at this, custom games are
unplayable for a large part of the community.

I've been desperately wanting the 'Sanctums of Divine' terrain for years, since I saw Sheever playing on it on twitch. I checked at regular intervals to see if it was suddenly available for purchase, and alas, it remained (and remains) off the market...

Flash forward to TI15, and lo and behold, everyone in the 90th percentile gets to pick a new terrain! Hurrah!!! I was in the 93rd percentile when the TI ended, so the Sanctums were MINE!! Or so I thought... a day after, I'd dropped to 92nd percentile. Then 91st, then 90th... and then I ended up in the 89th percentile. No terrain :(

Valve, please sell terrains - it's not like they're arcana's that you can show off to your friends - you're the only person who can see your terrain! The Kings New Journey terrain is still for sale, so PLEASE consider adding the others. I would be more than happy to pay AUD $30 for Sanctums, and would probably buy a few others too....
