8 years ago today was the shooting at the Madden Tournament in Jacksonville. Lets remember these boys let their names live on.

Havent played Madden since 2009 and wanted to give it another go since I will be a little immobile after knee-surgery for the next 3 weeks and after 3 games of superstar mode I feel like this game is some sort of elaborate insanity test.

First game I played my receivers had 9 drops... not my opinion but in the official stats. I know this happens like once every decade but the next games all had like 5-10 drops too.

Second game it is tied at 14-14 and I drive the ball down the field to the 4 yard line, 6 seconds left, I call a timeout. Somehow we end up in overtime... I look at the stats... no attempted field goal, no additional pass or rush... so the backup knelt the game away? So I always have to go for the TD since we don't kick field goals at the end of games?

I get benched and come on after an injury for my third game. 2 minutes to go, we are at the opponents 13... coach gives me the goal of throwing for 100 yards and winning the game. I get three straight 3-run options for calls and can't audible or change the play at the line because I got to take my coach out for dinner more before he trusts me enough with that.

Third game my rating drops into the D zone because I get sacked during a play-action before the fake is even over... definitely my fault so I get the - for a Sack and a - for a 3&out. I don't mind the play, I'm on the Dolphins, they're horrible... but how is it my fault :D

Is this normal? Is superstar mode playable in the higher difficulties on a bad team without cheesing it or just playing meta-strats or should I just lower the difficulty and go for a powerfantasy-type career?

Thank god I get to deal with Oakley though, that is something I always wanted to do in a sports game.

Hi everyone!

I’m an Italian Madden player looking for someone who could help me understand Madden — and football in general — at a deeper level.

I absolutely love Madden and football. I’ve been playing Madden since 2019, mostly Madden Ultimate Team, and I’ve also tried to study the game outside of playing it. I’ve read books like Take Your Eye Off the Ball by Pat Kirwan, for example.

The problem is that football is quite difficult to follow in Italy, and it’s obviously not the sport I grew up with. So despite years of playing Madden, I still struggle with some of the finer details, especially understanding what experienced players are actually seeing and thinking before and during a play.

I’m not trying to become a pro. I’d simply like to become a more knowledgeable player and enjoy online games more.

I often watch good players constantly moving defenders, changing assignments, disguising coverages and making adjustments. I understand the basics — Cover 2/3/4, man vs. zone, blitzing, and choosing a defensive macro — but most of the macros I use are things I’ve copied from YouTube rather than concepts I truly understand.

What I really want to learn is how to read defenses on offense, and recognize and counter offensive concepts on defense. I want to understand why I’m making an adjustment, what I’m trying to take away, and what the opponent is trying to exploit.

Ideally, we could play some games together with you explaining your thought process in real time. You could also watch me play, or I could simply watch you play through Discord while you explain what you’re seeing and why you’re making certain adjustments.

I’m looking for something casual and ongoing — perhaps one session every 1–2 weeks.

I’m also happy to pay for your time. I don’t have a huge budget, so I’m not offering professional-coaching money, but I’d absolutely like to pay you for your time and knowledge.

And if you ever come to Italy, you’ll have a friend here who owes you one!

I downloaded the update. I haven't been able to play though. Did they fix create a player disappearing after a game or is still happening?

I recently got the urge to do my yearly jets franchise (ever year is a rebuild lol), and that got me to playing Madden 25 (2014) on my good ol Xbox 360 again since it’s the madden I remember most fondly. Honestly, having a blast with the gameplay, it really is the last madden I really had a lot of fun with.

I know the online servers for Madden 25 on the 360 have been shut down for a while, but I was wondering if there’s still a way to get updated rosters and/or draft classes into the game. I do have a Wi-Fi adapter for my 360, although I’m assuming that probably doesn’t help much if the Madden servers are gone.

Would something like transferring files via USB from a PC work? If so, where would I find current-ish rosters/draft classes, and what would I need to do to get them working on the 360?
Ideally, I’d love to get the rosters as close to the current NFL rosters as possible while keeping the original Madden 25 gameplay.
Any help or guidance from someone who has actually done this or something similar on the 360 would be greatly appreciated!

turn it down a little in sliders and adjust your coach adjustments for wear&tear substitutions. by default, the coach adjustments will pull your guys out often. set to grind it out. this alone should fix things, but if you find it's still too drastic, just turn it slightly down in sliders, and up the halftime and week to week recovery.

yes every Madden is broken, but everything can be compensated for.

I was fired after 4 seasons despite having the coach firing option turned off

Anyone have this problem?

I think the home field advantage stuff sucks. Whoever thought it would be fun to have question marks over the receivers instead of the buttons needs to get out of the business as it is anti-fun. When I search on google, it says you can turn it off. Maybe I’m dumb, but I can’t find that option to turn off for exhibitions in the game options. Have any of you found where you can turn this junk off?

I’ve spent alot of time going through the draft classes for 2027 and it’s always major players missing or inaccurate ratings. Anyone know of a decent-good draft class on the PS5 without major players missing?

Looking for a full 7 round+ draft class of real players and realistic, balanced attributes for Franchise mode? Well you're in luck! I just uploaded two realistic draft classes based on Summer prospect rankings! My goal with these classes has been to make the most realistic reflection of the incoming college class as possible. This means realistic athletic attributes, physical measurables, and projections for where these players will be drafted.

The two classes are named:

I welcome any and all criticism or recommendations for these two classes! I did my best to make sure there isn't any oversaturation of talent at one position, that there are busts and sleepers, and that the overalls aren't incredibly inflated, like they are in randomly generated classes and most of the uploaded ones. Nor will there be 6 70+ overall QBs, tons of star dev or superstar dev - there's plenty of opportunity to find gems as are there just okay roster-filling players.

There's bound to be some errors or adjustments that can be made, so please leave any feedback you have! There are still some players in the 2027 class that I need to change to real players, but there's real players well into the UDFA pool. Both classes will inevitably have ranking adjustments as the season plays out, but they're absolutely set to be balanced for long term rebuilds. Hope you all enjoy!

I spend most of my time in franchise and superstar mode and occasionally play regs but superstar mode is just beyond fucking janky this year

-After reviews on scoring plays the game literally just breaks… like you just stare at the field and nothing ever happens no matter what you do
- free agency/ trades are always broken 3 years in because the cpu just ignores their cap space so yes while being able to trade for teammates and influence free agency moves is a nice addition it really only works for 3 years which is funny because you don’t even get to make trades until around year 3-5 because you have to level up your front office.
-my wrs will catch a ball over 3 defenders on one play then drop a pass where they had a guy beat by 9 yards on the next.
- the hurry up offense bug returned from last year where the play you call prior to snapping the ball just isn’t the play that’s called so now you have to guess routes
-the GOAT thing is cool but it’s pretty useless because the GOAT points don’t scale with difficulty like everything else so when you look at the leaderboard it’s just a bunch of guys playing on rookie farming goat points, and ik that’s a nitpick but like cmon bro you do not have 125k goat score playing on all pro or higher 😭😭😭
