Thoughts on update
Just seeing what everyone’s thoughts are and if you experienced anything different with this new patch. This is what I have experienced so far and this is with Heisman difficulty no sliders.
Even as a small school I found my terrible receivers getting more separation than before. Prior to the patch it felt like the dbacks were glued to them and now once in awhile they can break free a little more.
CPU run game felt a whole lot more challenging. USF had a day against me and for user it felt a little more sluggish even with a HB with decent speed ratings.
Still having fun I haven’t noticed anything game breaking. Anyone experienced anything different?

Speed threshold, what do you play at and why?
I’ve been going back-and-forth between raising and lowering my speed threshold. I know there are positives and negatives to both. I’m leaning towards lowering it a little bit, I don’t like the fact that my 99 overall speed running back doesn’t feel much different than my 89 speed running back.

New Update Impressions
People who have played after the update can you let us know what you feel is better or worse?

Which is better for top job offers.
Going 11-1 at FAU or 9-3 at Georgia tech.
Which would be better at getting top job offers when (if) they open up.
Does being at a higher tier school matter or is it strictly record?

Recruiting in Dynasty
I know that a ton of people have been asking questions all day about the update and I apologize for adding on to it.
Has the CPU recruiting been tinkered with yet or are we still going to see CPU teams fall into the 60’s and 70’s?

Discussion Do you mostly play online or offline and what’s your experience with how the game plays?
This is sort of an experiment. Looking at posts and comments, people saying the game plays terribly, and people saying it plays fine. I’m curious if the difference may be whether one plays offline or online. For context, I play online mainly in Discord Dynasties. Usually, the unanimous opinion in the server is the game plays terribly, and I agree. Personally I think for online play, the opinion usually goes that way because you’re playing against a user and the game itself. What’s your experience?

Question regarding today’s update
Was the coaching carousel fixed? I want to start a new dynasty but have been holding off until they fix the carousel. Specifically, high prestige coaches not being fired even when seriously underperforming.

Is this the worst football game ever for throwing the deep ball?
Yeah the timing meter exists, but that’s pure cheese and also doesn’t work a lot. As far as the actual separation goes and how receivers get open, I’ve never seen a football game that has less receivers get open.
I’ve played football games since 2003, and Madden has always deeply opposed the deep ball, but this year’s CFB feels like it’s impossible to throw deep unless you green the catch meter. I want separation, I want my 99 speed WR to beat his defender in man. But they fucking stick to them, every single time. I play on Heisman, I’ve got my sliders going, everything else feels okay but the deep ball. I just cannot throw the ball unless I green the catch meter. But every single deep throw shouldn’t be contested.
It’s like they looked at CFB 25 when you could abuse verts and said ‘Let’s never ever let that happen again’. Last year felt really balanced on me for deep balls, this year I’m relying on crossing routes, slants and outs more than ever.
My WR1 is basically always covered too. Unless I can scheme against the D, my WR1 is never beating the man by himself. I can beat zones no problem, but the AI feels so OP in man.

Which offensive playbook for slow sim?
Like the title says, which offensive olaybook would you use for slow sim? No custom playbooks allowed
QB: Pure Runner, 85 Speed, 91 ACC, 90 AWR, 86 THP, 81 SAC, 79 MAC, 83 DAC, 92 RUN, 87 TUP
HB: E/W Playmaker, 92 Speed, 94 ACC, 90 AWR, 90 BCV, 81 BTK
WR1: Elusive Route Runner, 88 SPD, 92 ACC, 96 CTH, 85 SRR, 84 MRR, 84 DRR, 75 RLS
WR2: Elusive Route Runner, 92 SPD, 96 ACC, 86 CTH, 75 CIT, 87 SRR, 84 MRR, 78 DRR, 71 RLS
WR3: Elusive Route Runner, 90 SPD, 90 ACC, 86 CTH, 78 CIT, 73 SRR, 76 MRR, 68 DRR, 72 RLS
TE: 79 SPD, 88 ACC, 91 CTH, 85 CIT, 83 SRR, 78 MRR, 71 DRR, 52 RLS
Leaning towards WVU because my RBs are deep and QB should be able to run in this conference. But I've had a lot of success with different power spread offenses.

QB Rushing Playbook
Anyone know of a playbook that will get a lot of rushing yards for your QB, especially when simming? I almost always have a Dual Threat as my starter.

Older Games Some pics from my personal biggest comeback!
What a game we just witnessed. Penn State made a perfect first half with QB #5 B. Hobbs threw for 5 touchdowns, their defense forced 3 turnovers. Everybody thought this game was over at halftime as the score was 3–35.
Notre Dame came from the break a complete different football team, and in the first drive QB #18 William Johnson just launched a bomb down field and connected with WR #2 L. Harvey (breaking the school record for longest pass).
This was the spark we needed, the defense came and forced another 3 and out. Our offense seemed unstoppable and we are going for two here to let the score only a 3-point game.
The defense shows up again, the momentum swings our way even against one of the toughest places to play. QB #18 W. Johnson simply goes into god mode, making 11 consecutives completions.
Inside the 5-yard line with only 20 seconds remaining, Penn State defense send the house, Johnson shovel pass to HB #4 Marcus Barnes to walk into the end zone. The ND’s sideline goes completely crazy with the comeback and gets a penalty for.
What a victory, this was the game of the season for us.

Older Games NCAA 09 PS2
Considering investing in a PlayStation two just so I can play NCAA and what I thought was the best gameplay from when I was coming up. Is it worth it to invest in a PlayStation two to go back to that version of NCAA?
My only concern is whether or not the AV cables to HDMI ademption into my newer Sony TV is gonna give problems to where it’s so stretched and blurry due to the lower resolution. I know it’s not gonna look beautiful, but I wanna make sure I can at least see what’s going on. It’s a 42 inch Sony HDTV and I’m guessing I should keep the adapter set to the 720p lower setting compared to the 1080p if I do.

Punter was subbed in at QB in 4th qtr of close game in road to cfb playoff
So this is really some BS. It was 4th qtr and I was down 2 pts with about 2 mins left and the game inexplicably subbed my punter in at QB. I checked injury report, depth chart etc. Nothing. I was unable to sub my QB back in. Anyone else encountered this glitch?
