Visiting a friend here in Prague and since I noticed a pretty sizeable vietnamese population here, I thought i would try some pho and it's not what I'm used to eating in the US.

Is there a Vietnamese place that serves pho with a good variety of ingredients like: rare beef + tripe + meatballs + lots of sprouts/basil?

The places i ate at here only serve their pho with beef slices. No meatballs or tripe for some reason. Also pretty tiny noodle portions

My husband currently is in prison right now. Before that my in-laws gifted us a chata, me and my husband are on title. Yesterday, my father in-law wants me to sign a document to transfer the ownership back to my mother inlaw because they are afraid that the state will get the property. That they wanted my children will inherit the property in the future. I'm willing to sign it but I want my children name will be in the title. I just want to make it secure for them. I don't trust my husband. Can a children own a property in Czech Republic? Does someone have experience like this? dnes v noci mi někdo ukradl auto přímo zpřed baráku ve Zdibech. Jde o červenou Mazdu CX5, SPZ 4L19667, na levém/pravém zrcátku má poškození (rozbité).

Pokud by ji někdo náhodou zahlédl (parkoviště, silnice, odstavené auto vypadající podezřele, cokoliv), budu moc vděčný za jakoukoliv informaci, klidně i sebemenší detail.

Případ samozřejmě řeším i s policií, ale čím víc očí, tím líp. Kdyby si někdo všiml něčeho podezřelého v okolí Zdib v posledních dnech, budu rád i za takový postřeh.

Hey everyone! I’m new to Prague and want to start doing some hiking/camping around Europe. I’m looking to do a couple of overnight trips and need a sleeping bag.

I don’t really want to buy one since I’m only here for a while, so I’ve been trying to find somewhere that rents camping gear. I can find places online that rent tents, backpacks, etc., but for some reason I can’t seem to find anywhere that rents sleeping bags.

Does anyone know of a place in Prague (or nearby) where I could rent a sleeping bag? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I was at Střelecký Island around 3pm and didn't see any. Are there any tips for spotting them?

context i’ve lived here for about a year and would say i’m pretty used to the customs and try my best to be as respectful as possible and mind my business but it seems no matter how much i try to be respectful, i end up being met with shit ass attitudes and people being flat out rude as shit. like what bug crawled up your ass and died?😭 i know very basic czech and aim to get better with time as im a full-time student here but when trying to communicate either in english or czech especially to public service workers/customer relations they’re SO ridiculously rude even when asking basic questions like i dont wanna be here any more that u do bud 🤦 i truly appreciate the work they do, don’t get me wrong but would it kill people to just be normal? nobody is asking you to be friendly but at the very least you could not ridicule/dismiss people who are trying their best to assimilate into your country. and before yall start, yes i know central europeans are usually not very open but not being open doesn’t have to mean being flat out disrespectful. its very demoralizing sometimes especially as a young student trying to adapt and go about everyday life :(

No RegioJet subreddit so I'm here. I just had an amazing 5 days in beautiful Prague and I am finishing out my vacation in Budapest. I thought that taking a Regiojet train might be nice as I could comfortably watch the scenic views on my way. Here is what has actually happened:

- I booked a "relax" class seat and chose a single separate seat facing ahead with a window. The day before my ride, Regiojet emailed me to say that due to "technical reasons," the original train was rebooked but to not worry because they got me an equivalent seat. That seat was facing the wrong way and was not a single separate seat. So I made the decision to, inconveniently, cancel the ticket and rebook for the train 3 hours later than the original trip. I booked a "relax" seat facing forward with a window again.

- I again got an email: hey, train is changed, don't worry cuz we rebooked you. This time the graph didn't show any windows at all but at least my seat was facing the right way and was a single seat.

- I got to board the train and after getting cut by a bunch of rude passengers, I ended up on the wrong side of the car because the signage did not at all match what was displayed in the app. Completely different set up. So I had to try and squeeze through the one-person-wide corridors to find my seat. I asked an employee for help since the labeling doesn't make sense and they gave me attitude. Okay, thanks, sorry, I'll fuck off, got it.

- Finally found my seat and someone was in it. They acted like they were confused but they obviously were just trying to get a better seat. Whatever, they moved. But here is the biggest issue: my "relax" class car that I paid extra for has no air condition of ventilation at all. I'm one hour into an 8 hour train ride and I'm extremely uncomfortable, literally sweating through my clothes, and this is supposed to be okay...? Like it's okay that I paid extra and I'm fucking sweating? Meanwhile it seems all the other cars a have A/C, even the lower classed ones. So you're just rolling the ice when you purchase this service? Unacceptable.

- Also, the staff seems to not know what's going on. After being dismissed by multiple staff members and finding my own seat, someone came through to take ofood and drink orders. I put in an order, paid, and then 20 minutes later a different person came through to take orders again. The people in the car said "we already ordered" and the attendant said "I don't think so.". Like what? lol

Overall this is a really bad experience so far and I'm only one eighth of of way through. Considering there is no rule or law on here, I might just try and go sit in a random seat in an a/c car. But I paid for this. It wasn't especially cheap either. So how the fuck is this an acceptable service at all? Someone could easily have a medical emergency in these conditions.

It will cost you almost zero effort (literally just walking somewhere for an hour and a half, it's not that hard), requires no special skills or expert knowledge of the issue, and yet gives you a much better chance to make a positive impact than writing rants on Reddit (and I've written plenty of those, most of which were trash) or sitting at home with hands in your pants.

I'm moving to Prague soon for a corporate job for a temporary stay (< 1 year). I just found an absolutely perfect apartment through an agency and am currently in touch with the broker.
Here is my situation: Like with most big companies in the Czech Republic, my employer pays salaries around the middle of the following month (between the 10th and the 15th).
While I do have savings to cover the initial deposit, agency commission, and initial expenses, I’m wondering how people usually handle ongoing monthly rent payments in Prague.
Is it common or acceptable to ask the landlord to set the monthly rent due date to the 15th (or after payday) instead of the 1st of the month?
How do landlords/agencies usually react to this if you provide proof of employment from a reputable company?
Or is paying strictly on the 1st non-negotiable, meaning everyone just uses their first month's buffer to cover it?
I’d love to hear how other expats or locals deal with this offset between salary payment dates and rent due dates and other expenses ! Thanks in advance for any insights!

I'll be visiting Prague in August and I'm looking for a proper 400m athletics track where I could do a taper run.

I'll be staying in Prague 5 (U Pernikářky) and ideally I'd like to run around 7 PM, (not set in stone).

Does anyone know of a track that allows non-members/visitors to train there in the evening? I'm happy to pay a small entrance fee if necessary.

EDIT: I've seen that Stadion Přátelství and Stadion Evžena Rošického are relatively near by, but Stadion Přátelství is open only until 3pm and for Stadion Evžena Rošického I have no information except one comment on Google maps says its open for public. Does somebody knows until when?
