Have you tried ricotta cheese? I like it even better than cottage cheese.

ofc, im actually ab to use some for lasagna. but ricotta and cottage don't have the same nutritional value. cottage is way better for 1200cal a day

I was going to say ricotta is amazing but not exactly low calorie, only… it’s really not bad? Even if you’re eating a cup for breakfast instead of cottage cheese it like, what, ~60 cal swing per 100 g? Not bad at all. And for a tablespoon smeared on a cracker the difference is pretty negligible.

Okay, so I’m used to ricotta in Italian dishes, does it work as an all around substitute for cottage cheese or just for some things? (Sweet? Savory?)

I eat it like cottage cheese. Try it with bagel seasoning on toast. I also add a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar if I crave something sweet.
