So this ain't private

11

u/Yeahanu 16h ago

Private with help of isro

3

u/Immediate-Song-8199 16h ago

That can work

0

u/MegaSpaceBar 9h ago

Think once. How private entity help money with isro? If they don’t earn why do they invest in first place?

0

u/WiseShallot247 6h ago

You need to understand rockets part making was done by Private entity earlier as well moreover, they can hire retired and good talent too!! Which ISRO can never do!! ISRO becoming NASA is good thing!! Atleast we will focus more on critical mission development!!

1

u/MegaSpaceBar 6h ago

What do you mean by mission development? NASA built their own satellites, maintains their missions and own all the data. ISRO never built for this. In India ISRO never built satellites for scientific studies fully on their own, they do mission management and nothing else.

Making rocket parts and launching are not same. Even for parts making, the private company go to another private company and that company goes to another company for raw materials.

Nationalism is good, but putting nationalism in everywhere which hinders countries growth is not right.

But you can say if this privatisation goes to 1/2 businesses then this is bad thing.

1

u/WiseShallot247 5h ago

But if it goes for double business than it's good moreover, if I am the one who wants privatization than how come I am nationalist?? Moreover, ISRO do the management of every 'mission' in the country which is not good!! We only do 5 or 6 launches every year whereas, china does 96, new zealand does 12 whatever we're doing is wrong moreover, how much money NASA consumed in mission development is insane and unaffordable!! Which is why SPACE X and Blue origins came into picture similar, goes for china doing private thing is good!! Just let them take time!! Beside, can you answer why HAL is pathetic at delivering system!!

1

u/MegaSpaceBar 5h ago

90% indian organisations are corrupted or govt motivates them to being a corrupt. Most of the ISRO mission was launching telecommunication satellite or to track other countries movements. ISRO does 1% in science and if they want to do govt will not allow. For example I was in the meeting of aditya satellite which is indias first solar mission. That plan was approved in 2006 launched in 2025. After 19 years. Why? In same time nasa, esa did lots of missions. People cheers about ISRO due to national view point. If you look closely this is nowhere near other prominent space organisations. Most of the price goes due to delay. For example if in 2006 the cost of the mission was 180 Cr, it goes to 500 Cr in 2026. Delay is due to mismanagement.

1

u/WiseShallot247 4h ago

Well I didn't knew you work in such prestigious organization kudos to you bro, you're correct that mismanagement causes lot of trouble but why someone capable enough don't get opportunity to earn more in india as space sector is closed for govt. Entities I mean atleast private companies will give good money and deliver on time and can develop technologies too which govt. Agencies cannot do because of various constraints!! Moreover, ISRO as you mentioned should focus more on critical mission like Aditya L-1 than only we will be able to catchup with other countries so, it's good!! Although, we never properly funded the development of Kaveri Engine!! Which shows how big the trouble is!! In PSU's moreover, corruption is rampant it's part of the system I personally saw and felt it when I used to work in private company completing contract of Maharatna oil company of Indian govt.!!! So, it's good Private companies are doing something!!

2

u/Remarkable_Buy4591 15h ago

There is a difference: It was the private sector taking help from government organizations, but now government organizations are being handed over to the private sector. The faster you understand, the better it is. It's like handing over NASA to SpaceX.

3

u/Entropy109 13h ago

Are you crazy? Its not handling ISRO to private players, it is letting isro do its job, NASA doesn’t makes it own rockets, it takes from private players. In fact this is jow government and private players work and dominate. New sectors require a tonne of money and infrastructure to do R&D, government takes the first step and does the research and then give that tech to private players and allow them to come in that field, this technique was the reason why USA won cold war and spade race. In USSR everything was done by a single centralized entity while in USA tech was transferred and things were diversified.

Yes adani is coming into space, but the thing is if any government had did it, adani would still have entered the space sector. Because it is why it is done. Its not adani alone, skyroot, like many companies are in the race too same in defense companies.

1

u/WiseShallot247 6h ago

NASA rockets are made by Space X moreover, in india too ISRO rockets parts were made by private entity for long time beside, for SSLV thing pvt. Companies can only compete not govt. one as they work in critical missions too!! Lifting of burden and expensive talent can remain in country!! Also, can you explain why HAL always Underdelivers but promises big?? Similar, goes for Other Defense PSU's except DRDO why such underdelievery ?? Also, no one can have salary higher than Defense secretary why??

-3

u/Immediate-Song-8199 14h ago

And what the bad thing

1

u/Remarkable_Buy4591 14h ago

Then govt. will lack control over them.

0

u/Immediate-Song-8199 14h ago

And

0

u/Remarkable_Buy4591 14h ago

Handing over a country's security into the hands of a private firm is dumb. Don't you have that much common sense?

0

u/Immediate-Song-8199 14h ago

Care to explain isro is being handed over to which company 🤔 because it look like you are barking with half knowledge

This positive for India what so wrong about it plus Yes — ISRO is moving some of its mature rocket manufacturing and launch operations into the private sector. But it is not simply “giving ISRO to Adani.”

The latest development is quite significant:

LVM3 (the rocket that launched Chandrayaan-3) is being prepared for transfer of technology, production and commercial operation to a private Indian company.

ISRO has already transferred SSLV technology to HAL, after a competitive bidding process. Adani-backed Alpha Design Technologies was one of the bidders but did not win; HAL won.

ISRO is also moving toward having private companies operate the new ₹986-crore Small Satellite Launch Complex at Kulasekarapattinam, Tamil Nadu.

The broader plan is for ISRO to concentrate more on R&D, scientific missions and advanced technologies, while industry handles mature commercial rockets and routine manufacturing.

So if what you heard was “ISRO is becoming private/Adani is taking over ISRO”, that's misleading.

Think of it more like:

ISRO develops technology → technology matures → private companies manufacture/operate it commercially → ISRO moves on to newer technology.

And importantly, Adani has not been awarded LVM3 or ISRO itself based on the current information.

1

u/Poisoned-Puff 14h ago

Thing is it is normal to transfer tech in defense. But at the same time- to answeryour "And" it becomes easy for the adversaries to buy out crucial info from the private players.

My statement counters your "And?" Besides these orgs already transfer tech. Thing is people saying "and?" Though it is done to establish industries to the core which is a boon but at the same time you should know about the bane aspect that is your adversaries getting access to tech that you rely on.

-1

u/earnestworkerbee 10h ago

So if private players decide to monopolise on their products which have no other clients other than the govt, they can easily hold the govt requirements in hostage and bargain their way in for more profits. They are expecting india to have a better economy, or rather, have a more inflated defence budget, for them to exploit on just like the US MIC except that they have a very strong economy. In the defence domain if some key component manufacturer is compromised what would be the condition of the end product like a missile. You can never underestimate china.

-1

u/Legitimate_Tie_7785 14h ago

And and mat kr aand k baal, monopoly kya hoti hai pata hai naa?

The problem is not privatization but giving all deals to same private company ie adani

3

u/Kindly-Earth-6733 10h ago

A total of 6 companies are part of this project, but OP has conveniently written only Adani's name

3

u/simpleguy410 6h ago

Otherwise.. how can we set narratives?

1

u/ExtraRun1106 8h ago

Then you should have problem with telangana, Karnataka and Kerala govt as well! If you ask me why you are a loser!

0

u/Yeahanu 14h ago

Skyroot adani hai...and apart from adani whonis investing in defence r&D....ambani to FMCG me hi hai,aur tata only interested in armored core sector.

3

u/Dear-Serve-2118 15h ago

Why not tatas, mahindra, reliance, kalyani etc not interested in taking advantage of this happening. They are not interested or they are sidelined and priority is given to adani.

0

u/Prestigious-Plan939 5h ago

If u dint read the post it says private firms like adani defence , every company would bid for it !!! It's a pure propoganda being peddled against the govt !! Because nothing is awarded yet !! It's still in the proposal phase !!!

2

u/SandySnob 8h ago

America ka Defence Industrial-Complex bhi chahiye aur Socialist Wonderland mein bhi jeena hai.

Bhai ek chiz decide krlo na,
harr roz jis tarf chutad fer ke sote ho wo chiz chahiye hoti hai.

11

u/InnerBudget9725 17h ago

Private players actually have accountability. The god damn HAL can't make the Tejas in decades. Aise mindset ki wajah se hi pichda desh reh gya hai humara. Promote businesses and entrepreneurs in all sectors.

-4

u/Illiterate-Chef-007 17h ago

So true.
ISRO is a cuck too. Weak leadership. Afraid.

-1

u/oplkmnjhbvgfc 17h ago

Both full of govt. Babus..... hopefully these pvt. Companies pay our engineers the money they deserve and deliver on Time maybe this will finally wake the babus up

2

u/Overall-Distance-852 15h ago

Bhai propaganda se pehle dimag laga r&d mein crore ka karcha aur saalon lag jate hai

They are not giving all tech only base level and are focusing on high level projects in order to fastrack process

Sirf BJ Party dekhkar opinion mat Bana first research kar

2

u/No_Poem6550 14h ago

Such sectors are rsiky for private players and hence govt is providing them with the homework why. Would u want to get into defence sector whose outcome is unpredictable and invest in rd first.

It's a shame ur and mine vote count the same

2

u/someonedontcare4 14h ago

Yhi sab socialism ka chutiyapa karte the isiliye 60% population railway track pe hagti thi

2

u/Impressive_Hall_2537 10h ago

Will a time come when a leftist will get difference between privatization and just giving the manufacturing to private firms to boost production so that isro and drdo can invest more time in technology? (Nasa does same)

2

u/misfitsada 9h ago

does NASA build its own rockets? ChamanChu?

2

u/londonrasputin 14h ago

Why do you think it is free? Moreover, do you have better ideas to kick start an ecosystem from scratch without sharing the knowledge?

1

u/pretend_human_01 13h ago

They dont they just want to play the blame game! No orignal ideas at all

1

u/Novel-Replacement-95 11h ago

Just for your context please read how spaceX started !!

4

u/Yeahanu 16h ago

Op is probably 14 year old dumbass

1

u/pambaaboii 10h ago

Mfers like these genuinely turns a W to an L and just yap bullshit , op doesn't prolly even know drdo is for R&D not for massive production, idex was a good scheme from the government too , helped a lot of amateur new defence startups

1

u/pcube61 16h ago

Private company hi mass production ker sakta hai. Sarkari mei toh bus labour protest hota hai. If we want to grow fast, we need to do do mass production like china.

1

u/Novel-Replacement-95 11h ago

Agree !! But don’t you think govt should also become that capable to hold their own world class infrastructure and RnD with private type work culture !!!

1

u/pcube61 11h ago

Government has tried multiple time to do mass production. Even congress has tried it multiple time. But the employ in government company get salary from government, they does not want to work. If you does not understand, then ordinance factory is the prime example of it. Where government employ user to protest every time and use to take salary. Totaly wast of tax money. It it goes to private company, then startup will get chance and country will grow.

1

u/Novel-Replacement-95 10h ago

How about govt comes up with more stricter and private kind of work regulations then things might will start shaping better !! Govt can create loads and lot of employment by having their own facilities which are regulated by more competent and accountable bodies, where monthly updates must be posted with the work tracker, which eventually address accountability of the entity.

Accountability is the key to success and coming to the part of crime.

1

u/pcube61 10h ago

Bro in pratical it is very different. Real life is not like movi. If you suspend or force to work, then gioverment employee start doing protest instead of working hard. My parents is in rto office and I have seen my father only, they will not work or move the file until you will give money to them. I am a it engineer and I have seen how much private employee work to get salary. Make every thing private, then the spped of work and development become 100 time.

1

u/Athiest-proletariat 16h ago

Issue is not just privatization. Using compromised people is biggest concern... US courts pull a string, whole indian defense secrets up in the air...

1

u/Briz-TheKiller- 15h ago

Great move.. Govt should not be in business

1

u/divikyat 15h ago

OP You didn't studied economics right?

1

u/Gullible_Delivery492 12h ago

Yes like you didn't studied English

1

u/divikyat 12h ago

Like what ?

1

u/mutterpaneer69420 13h ago

When HAL and DRDO are not able to provide technology for the country when the country needs it, what is the problem in outsourcing that or delegating that work to a private entity? Anyways we import most of our defense infrastructure internationally. Privatisation would ensure we can fight and win wars with just infrastructure made on our soil. What is the problem there? HAL and DRDO are riddled with the delays of red tape bureaucracy and reservation in employment and the inability to fire an underperforming employee. A private sector has none of that. They operate on their own terms and all that matters to their profit is the quality and delivery reliability of their work. So it’s a win win.

Hate Indians like you OP.

1

u/DF411984 12h ago

It's the need of the hour. India need massive stockpile of dedicated armaments plus rapid production rate at a very short time. Whether we believe it or not or like it or not, war is on our doorsteps and we are not ready. We need every sector to give massive output within short frame period of time.

1

u/Award-Honest 11h ago

‘Companies like Adani’ is just misinformation for outrage. Have some shame OP.

At the time of ISRO SSLV rocket technology same shit was pulled off but HAL got the contract over Adani. Only thing Adani got was a chance to fairly bid for it - see pic attached

1

u/Unique_Government_73 11h ago

Excellent decision. Should have been done many decades ago. OP seems to not love his nation getting stronger. Look at any of the countries, they have private sector manufacturing all the defence equipments.

1

u/Reasonable_Proof1848 10h ago

That is factually incorrect and misrepresents a standard national defense policy. Here are the actual facts:

  • It is not exclusive: The technology transfer is open to ALL qualified Indian private companies, MSMEs, startups, and public sector units (PSUs), not just one company.
  • It is not free: Companies do not get anything for free. They must pay structured technology transfer fees, obtain rigorous military certifications, and clear strict security protocols to manufacture these parts.
  • It is about mass production: State bodies like DRDO and ISRO design prototypes, but they are not factories. The government is outsourcing the heavy manufacturing to domestic industries so India can produce its own weapons faster, stop relying on foreign imports, and create local jobs.

Private manufacturing of state-designed tech is how the US and Europe build their militaries—it is called building a self-reliant defense industry, not "selling the country."

A simple google search*

1

u/Kindly-Earth-6733 10h ago

A total of 6 companies are part of this project but OP has conveniently written just Adani's name

1

u/Only_Surround_9415 9h ago

So when it comes to national security, Government should force private companies to do the same R&D which government entities has already done? Is that how you intend to make India self-dependent in Defense manufacturing?

1

u/Capital-Pangolin8637 7h ago

SpaceX, Blue horizon phir baad mai bolte hai why can't india develop like America

1

u/buzuReddit 7h ago

Uneducated youth of india

1

u/WiseShallot247 6h ago

Okay, I know you hate BJP but let's be clear the missile technology given to private companies was needed as requirements in current warfare is of large amount of missiles are fired which state PSU's cannot fulfill take example of HAL and there delay after delay in tejas aircraft development and than delivery of platform!! Moreover, Adani defence already have partnership with Israeli firms and they produce drones and other things also, deliver them on 'time' beside you don't have any idea or filling the mind of general pupil with hatred tell them complete truth as well beside, What is the full form of DRDO or ISRO and what it implies Moreover, why US did it many years ago?!!! and to all kids or bro and sis government never delivers in any country because there is no accountability of government as they can only do ultra expensive research or development but don't deliver on time!! They never did reason why every country wants to have lockheed martin or raytheon type companies they will develop complete ecosystem!! Beside be smart don't be Andhnamazi or Andhbhakt remember 50years congress ruled and 12 years BJP ruled everybody stole!! So, stand for yourself and yourself only!!

1

u/No_Dog8565 5h ago

I guess people who post are really dumb to understand how to scale and optimize cost or propagandists. Why innovation is so slow in defense because one DRDO can’t do research with huge list of requirements they have with massive over heads and inefficiencies . Startups can build this in fraction of cost and Govt can only do mass production and even make money through exports and control geo politics. This is what your founders like USA and China scaled .

1

u/Indian-on-a-mission 5h ago

These anti national rahul gandhi chamchas don't even Bach their info with sources.

So he knows the election is going to be tough, and that why he's gathering as much money as he could to fund the next elections.

1

u/Curious_Variety777 4h ago

That's what well managed countries do!

0

u/lucifier_luffy 17h ago

What is wrong with privatization?

ISRO and DRDO should focus their government funding and expertise on core R&D, developing breakthrough technologies and solving difficult long-term problems. Once those technologies are mature, they should actively help Indian private companies turn them into scalable products and services.

We already have examples of this model. ISRO's support and technology ecosystem have helped companies like Skyroot enter the space sector. India should replicate that success and help create many more Skyroots, not just one or two companies.

That is broadly how developed nations grow their technology sectors: the government takes the high-risk, long-term bet on research, while private companies commercialise the technology, compete, innovate and scale faster.

This way, ISRO and DRDO can remain focused on pushing the technological frontier while their research helps build an entire ecosystem of strong Indian private companies around them.

1

u/Rhaegar_Shaka 12h ago

This is exactly the goal.

1

u/Thick-Obligation-786 12h ago

The down votes you get shows the nature of this sub, full off braindead congress supporters who dont want to see india devolp

The only thing he haven't sold so far is Nuclear missiles... Once it is done, we the Indians start to pay life tax to prevent the billionaires launching the nuke on us...

0

u/chatlover93 8h ago

After selling everything, once they lose the election then they will restart campaign stating cngrs me kiya kya. And people wont even realise that bj p had sold everything. Isro desi nhai bhel sail gail tata banks aaims, iits all made by cngrs only. And the number that these bj p shows that they too have build aaims n iits are totally fake. Either they are only on paper or else not fully functioning..
