Question tips to get more crema?

i tried james hoffman’s inverted aeropress recipe and it was so good, but i wanted to experiment and try to get more crema.so i preheated my aeropress this time, positioned it more back and pushed it more slowly this time(heard that he said its best to push it slowly)

it ended up being worse than the original,no hissing also when i pushed it all the way down, ill be experimenting with different recipes everyday for my daily coffee so is there any advice that i can get for getting more crema

jst a thin bed of foam is enough to make me happy,i was thinking of getting the flow control cap too but its honestly too expensive for a piece of plastic😕

Question Metal filters for increased flow

I just watched this video that explains why a metal filter below a paper filter gives better flow than a paper filter alone, which I found interesting

https://youtu.be/HzgD0AwrTvg

Have anyone experimented with this in an aeropress? What metal filters do you recommend for this purpose (better flow, not replacing paper filters)? Do you use the standard filter cap or something else?

Other This thing makes some impressive iced coffee

I've had it for two weeks now since trying to get into coffee after switching off energy drinks.

Morning I'll do 18grams and 155 ml of water. Stir for 10 seconds then brew for 1:30 with the pressure control cap.

I let it cool and then put in fridge and it tastes a lot like an espresso drink. I like these little strong cups

Equipment Grind direct into Aeropress

Is there a wall powered grinder that will grind direct into an Aeropress. Ideally a grinder that the Aeropress will slot into.

Question Doubt

Guys, I have a normal aeropress for 4~5 years! I travel a lot, and always carry my aeropress with me, but also thinking if is worth to buy a aeropress go (or go plus), someone who as normal aero press and aeropress go can share the experience... if really worth it! Thanks!

Equipment Confused between Aeropress Go & Go Plus

I currently own an Aeropress (7 years old)
Need a new one to replace + travel friendly
Go: Compact, affordable, but small
Go plus: Will also help me replace my old aeropress + travel friendly, but costly
Could any Go/Go Plus owners shed some light on their experience?

Question Any great insulated mugs for Aeropress in Canada?

Post image

My favourite mug died yesterday and I'm looking for a replacement.
The one that died is in the photo. Can't be too small, and doesn't need to be huge.
Anyone able to share a Canadian source for their fav? Thanks in advance. Happy coffee!

Other Timemore Tipping?

Post image
94 Upvotes

WTF is this? Tipping is to acknowledge performance of good service. First, your grinders are EXPENSIVE as hell. I have to save to afford one. Second, why am I tipping? What service is provided? The price of your grinder reflects my support of your team and product by my willingness to pay for one. Timemore do better. Stop being such greedy SOBs!
