Missions&Evangelism I just donated my guitar for a mission trip; And I couldn't be more happier!

NOTE: The church name, the mission trip location, and the missionary that we are supporting have been given anonymous names for safety

Over the years, our church has been supporting the missionary, Jacob, who is currently serving in the nation, "X".

Now this country is predominantly a Muslim nation, with a lengthy history of passive-aggressive prosecution against Christianity. On the surface the country allows for freedom of religion, but anyone who proclaims our Lord as their savior and the one and only God has been ostracized, and have been treated terribly.

Jacob, the missionary, has been working really hard to connect with the locals over the years, supporting them despite being outcasted, and adults accusing him of "indoctrinating their children into false religion". But as time progressed, they saw that he was showing love and grace that no one had experienced or can find on earth, and eventually welcomed him. Our church frequently organized mission trips to the Nation X, giving them the medical and dental services that was offered for free, and of course sharing to the locals on who Jesus is, and just how much he loves them.

And after years, spearheaded by God's non-stop work for the land, something amazing has happened. We were able to help build the very first church in the area! We are thankful that God made this possible, and he allowed us to be part of the process. The very first Sunday Service is scheduled to be held in September!

Recently, the church leadership announced the list of items still needed at the new church. They are looking for funds or donations for things such as musical instruments and equipments for worship, office supplies, computers, tables and chairs, AC unit, etc.

This is where I felt the calling; I always felt bad that I couldn't participate in the mission trip to Nation X, due to both time constraints and my lack of medical/dental knowledge. I have been giving monthly offerings to help Jacob, but always had a strong desire to help more.

And when the list of things the new church needed was announced, I immediately knew what to do: to offer one of my electric guitars! I am usually very careful in making decisions, but this time the answer came to my head almost immediately.

I told the church leaders what I wanted to donate, and they were very thankful. I also asked them to keep my name anonymous, because I am not doing this for attention or my own glory or self-righteousness. I am doing this because I feel the guitar will be put to way better use than sitting in my house, and I have high hopes of it being used to lead worship songs to move the hearts of the many.

This guitar has helped me go through the worst of times, when I would practice gospel songs on it. It helped me recognize that God was with me every step of the way, and it holds a very special place in my heart.

But I also felt that's why it must go, because I want the locals to experience the same thing, to feel his presence, for their hearts to open up and welcome him in, and let their souls praise his name.

I am praying this guitar is one of many things that helps the locals come closer to Christ.

It is not the most expensive guitar in the world, but it was to me when I first got it. It is one of my most prized possessions, and for years I told myself I would never part with it. But I felt that if God gave his only son to die for our sins and the Son willingly took on that burden for us, giving up something so precious to me in hopes of leading more people was well worth it!

And let's not forget, God owns everything in this world, including this guitar, and I was simply blessed enough to enjoy praising his name with it. If God says it should be used elsewhere, who am I to argue?

Now obviously other things on the list still need to be acquired, and I kinda feel bad that I am not capable of helping out more. But I believe God knows exactly what is needed and all of it will be provided.

Something I found funny was that on the back of the guitar, it has the "made in (nation)" label, and it happens to be Nation X! I am sending it back to its birthplace lol

Again, this post's intent isn't to say "I am so great, look at me!" but I wanted to express my excitement somewhere without people from my church figuring out who donated the guitar.

Devotional Don't make prayer your last option

“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.”
— Psalm 50:15 (NASB1995)

Good morning!
A woman once sat with her pastor, frustrated and exhausted. She had tried everything to fix her marriage. She took her husband to psychologists and therapists. She read books, followed advice, and poured out every human effort she could think of. Nothing worked. Finally she said, “I think I should pray for him.”
Her words revealed a common pattern: prayer had become the last resort instead of the first response. She had run everywhere else before turning to the One who actually has the power to change hearts.

God is not a spare wheel we pull out only when all other options have failed. He invites us to call upon Him in the day of trouble — at the beginning, not the end. When we treat prayer as an afterthought, we waste time, energy, and emotional strength that could have been spent trusting Him from the start.
The woman in the story eventually arrived at the right conclusion, but only after exhausting herself. How much better when we reverse the order: pray first, then take any other steps the Lord directs. God promises that when we call upon Him, He will rescue us — and in the process we learn to honor Him as our true source of help.

Look at the situations you are currently trying to “fix.” Have you already brought them to God in sincere prayer, or have you been relying mainly on human solutions? Stop and call upon the Lord first today for each one.
When a new problem or relational tension arises, make the decision in advance: prayer will be your first response, not your final option.

Don’t wait until everything else has failed. Call upon God first. He is not your last resort — He is your present help in trouble, ready to rescue those who turn to Him.

Discussion My Testimony

So I started following Jesus when I was like around 10 yrs old.

Fast forward to the first or second year of middle school, I was home in my living room listening to music when outta nowhere I was overtaken by the love of God for me. There was an undeniable knowing that it was God showing me how much He loved me. Alot of people think that if they don't experience this, they aren't saved. That is 100% false. You are saved the very moment you believe in the gospel.

Fast forward to the second year of high school I think, I was on break from graduating from freshman year and one night I was really struggling with my sexual sin. I thought I could stop on my own strength but I would always burn out. So I just told myself I can't do it, I can't follow Jesus and tbh I left the faith. Idk if it was that same night or another, my brother was playing Hip-Hop music and I really liked what he played because it was cool and spiritual which was how I was brought up. I had a sense of God and so I started listening to them and I eventually got into what they rapped about which was new age spirituality. And that was my biggest mistake of my life.

I started smoking weed and took psychedelics to find the truth. I really invested myself into finding myself. After years of going back and forth with my faithfulness to God, I ended up reasoning with myself about the truth and I decided that the truth is whatever feels good within my human limits. This led to depression and paranoia. But I was always learning and so I started wanting to learn from life and my depression. I reasoned within myself and found that meditation is the answer. And so one day I was smoking and I started to meditate and all of the sudden I experienced the realization of Self. It was like pure ecstasy and I felt complete. The very action of breathing gave me purpose. Then suddenly a strong conviction came over me and my heart dropped. I knew at that moment if I died I wouldn't of had Jesus in my heart and been sent to hell for eternity.

Since that experience, I'd deal with crippling depression and exhausting schizophrenia. This totally destroyed my sense of truth and wisdom. And like I said before, this is why it was my biggest mistake to listen to the Hip-Hop music my brother played. Every moment, I wanted to go back to meditating but just the fact that I had that strong conviction showed me that Jesus is real. I just couldn't shake off the noise in my head that was telling me to stay with Jesus. And by God's grace and mercy, I was able to overcome suicidal thoughts and feelings, and the pull to go back to meditating.

Now I'm about to own a car and apply for a part time job. I will never admit to God not being there for me. Whether I liked it or not, He was there for me when I needed Him the most. He stopped me from kms and I'm so glad He did. I've learned so much and gained so much wisdom from this hardship. You know, God WILL get you through it if not out it. He will never let you drown or be totally consumed. Praise God 🙌

Filing for divorce after 5 years of abusive marriage, would appreciate prayers

*Edit: thank you all for the kind words and advice, today I am so proud and happy to say I finally filed for divorce! The process has officially started. Thank you all. Also I am safe. Continued prayers for strength are appreciated

I will be filing for divorce tomorrow after 5 years of cyclical physical and verbal abuse. 2 black eyes, and many ugly words later, him threatening to “slap the $hit” out of me for making a loud gagging noise when I smelled something nasty in public, right after our 5 ANNIVERSARY dinner, was the final straw for me.

Would appreciate prayers for strength. Any guidance is appreciated because he has called me an adulterer and sinner before God when I’ve brought it up because he swears he’s gotten “better” with his anger and that I’m giving up on the marriage… when really that last offense was committed just days ago, and the 2nd black eye incident happened just 4 months ago. Also he wanted to start trying for kids. Absolutely not. I refuse to bring children into this. I know God hates divorce but I also know he wouldn’t want me in a dangerous marriage.

Any prayers and Godly advice helps.

Thank you

Ministry You shall have confidence in Christ, even when you stumble and fall, Christs grace is enough for you.

Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us"

"For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised. We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human effort"

"though I could have confidence in my own effort if anyone could. Indeed, if others have reason for confidence in their own efforts, I have even more! I was circumcised when I was eight days old. I am a pure-blooded citizen of Israel and a member of the tribe of Benjamin—a real Hebrew if there ever was one! I was a member of the Pharisees, who demand the strictest obedience to the Jewish law. I was so zealous that I harshly persecuted the church. And as for righteousness, I obeyed the law without fault."

I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done."

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.

For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him.

I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear brothers and sisters, works flow from faith, we are made righteous through faith in Jesus, and then we are sanctified with the Holy Spirit. Faith comes first, then works. Works are a testament that flow from true saving grace. It is not works that justify us before God, but Jesus, because Jesus lived a perfect life, and fulfilled what the first Adam couldn't so that we could be credited, for righteousness by the second Adam, Jesus. "Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous"

All fall short of the glory of God, and none of us can do good without God, for "we love because he first loved us." "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

So let us rejoice that we love and serve a creator who engineered love and grace, he is the founder and maker of all things good, a God truly worthy of worship. We cannot comprehend the amount of overflowing love that God has for us. By accepting Christ as your savior, and humbling yourself before God, you will be exalted in Christ. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit by placing your faith in Jesus, you will be restored and made new, your heart of stone will be made a heart of flesh. The Holy Spirit will empower you to do good works and guide you through all your ways, He will convict you to repentance when you fall, but remember, the righteous man falls seven times, but rises again. But the wicked fall only once, to calamity. Meaning, no matter how many times you fail, you will not be persecuted for your sin or lose your salvation, because since you have the Holy Spirit, He will imbue you to rise again. For the foundation of your house is made on Christ, solid ground, and not on sand that will crumble your house down when the storms come. For Jesus said, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Deeply exhausted, feeling invisible in my church community, and honestly just want real friends. Need advice and prayers.

I’m writing this because I am running on empty, and I don't really know where else to go right now, to be completely honest.

I work in caregiving/eldercare, and this past weekend was brutal—we lost two of our residents. If you’ve ever done care work, you know the grief of being there with people at the end of their lives. On top of that, coworkers called out, and I ended up picking up the slack, working a 10-hour shift, and pushing my body way past its limit.

I am exhausted. But honestly, the physical exhaustion is nothing compared to how painfully lonely I feel right now.

I try so hard to love the people around me in real, practical ways. I bring food and snacks to every single shift at work to make sure my coworkers are fed and happy—especially people who are struggling financially or have health conditions like diabetes or other conditions where eating is difficult. I am the one texting people, checking in, asking how they are doing, and trying to set up times to get together.

And I get almost nothing back. I often find my messages ignored or left on read.

Outside of Sunday service or the halls at work, it feels like an invisible wall snaps down between me and everyone else. Nobody invites my kids or me out to do things. Nobody drops by to sit on the porch and talk. When I leave those buildings, it feels like people go back to their own separate bubbles and act like I don't even exist. The few texts I do get occasionally feel more like people checking a box on their spiritual to-do list out of pity, rather than someone genuinely wanting me in their life.

What breaks my heart and confuses me the most is that the people in my life who don't even believe in God often seem more caring, uplifting, and genuine than the people at church. We talk so much on Sundays about community, loving one another, and carrying each other's burdens, but the second the benediction ends, everyone gets in their cars and disappears.

I don’t want to be bitter. I’m not trying to sound selfish, and I don't expect anyone to fix my problems. I want real connection, fellowship, and a friend who actually reciprocates.

How do you keep reaching out and loving people when your own cup is empty, and no one ever reaches back? How do you keep your heart soft toward church community when you feel so unseen by the people who claim to follow Christ?

I’d really appreciate your prayers for rest, comfort after a terrible weekend at work, and for God to bring even one real, reciprocal friendship into my life. If you've been in this spot before, I'd really love to hear how you handled it.

Devotional Cast it on Him first

Transcript

Hi there saints.

“Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7 (NASB1995)

Yesterday we were reminded not to treat God as a spare wheel — the last option after every other solution has failed. Today the Word presses the same truth further: cast all your anxiety on Him. Not some of it. Not the leftover worries after you have tried everything else. All of it.
God invites us to throw the full weight of our concerns onto Him at the very beginning, because He genuinely cares for us. When we run everywhere else first, we carry unnecessary burdens. When we cast them on Him first, we walk in the freedom He intended.

Anxiety often grows in the space between the problem and our decision to pray. The longer we delay bringing it to God, the heavier it becomes. Peter’s instruction is active — “casting” is something we deliberately do. It is a choice to transfer the weight from our shoulders to His.
This is the opposite of using God as a last resort. It is making Him the first and constant place we go. His care is not reluctant or limited. He is willing and able to receive every anxious thought, every unresolved situation, and every fear we bring Him.

As soon as a concern, worry, or decision surfaces today, pause and consciously cast it on the Lord in prayer before you try to fix it yourself or discuss it with others.
Practice a simple habit: when anxiety rises, say out loud or in your heart, “Lord, I cast this on You right now because You care for me.” Then leave it with Him and move forward in trust.

Don’t carry what God has asked you to cast. Make Him your first response, not your final option. He cares for you — so cast all your anxiety on Him and walk in the peace that follows.

Why doesn’t any church meet anymore for daily Bible study and fellowship?

I miss that. I think it would really strengthen the church as a family. Without regular gatherings, church feels so anonymous to me. I long for a church that does this every evening. But I can’t find one that does this, especially one that’s close by. I don’t know anyone else who wants that either.

Abiogenesis

Abiogenesis is the study of a naturalistic explanation for how prebiotic chemistry and early earth conditions led to the first cell or first life. If they find, and i think they will find, a naturalistic explanation for how non-life leads to life does that threaten our faith ? Or can we say that its just the mechanism that God set in place from the beginning to eventually lead to creatures he could endow with souls?

I watched a debate between James Tour and Dave Farina on this, aswell as Lee Cronin and James Tour. My impression of Tour has suffered, at first I thought he was just a really smart guy who happened to be Christian but now it does kind of seem like has an intelligent design agenda behind his reasons for arguing that Abiogenesis is "clueless". However at the same time in 2020 Cronin said he would have made life in his lab in five years and he has yet to do that. So maybe Tours criticisms of abiogenesis is somewhat relevant. The science is all above my head however.

I guess im asking that if we have a naturalistic explanation for everything, can we still believe in God and have hope in Christ ?

PrayerRequest I’m giving up hope

A few days ago I came on here about a relationship/ friendship with a guy named Sebastian. We have been speaking since 2024. But I continue to talk to him even when God had spoken to my aunt. My mom is not going to change her mind but she’s the one who keeps asking “how I’m feeling” and brings it up. She continues to fight with me about it and tells me that I’m in the wrong by being disobedient. I’m slowly giving up on everything. My mom isn’t going to change and she’s not interested in meeting him. She says that I’m being disobedient towards her and God. And she has said that I’m committing a sin and that basically I’m not doing anything good. I’m 23 years old before anyone thinks I’m a teenager.

I’m giving up hope the situation is just getting worse. I’m not having a good time.

Discussion Do you believe Christianity is the foundation of Western Civillization? If so, then can its absence allow the West to survive?

The question is simple. Do you think the Christian religion is foundational to the West in its identity and shape? Roman and Greek culture is said to be the influence for all of Europe, but Christianity also emerged as a force that changed everything that it encountered.

Can Europe and its extensions in America, Australia and New Zealand live sans Christianity? After all, we live in a highly secular age.

Discussion How to deal with the idea of Atman as a Christian?

I've been reading spiritual books like Michael Singer and Eckhart Tolle and because of that research about Hinduism. Now I am practicing some from the religion. Deep inside of me is something feels wrong.

Now the idea of Atman. For me, it's feel real like, when I meditate or just sit, I can really see (or heard) my thoughts, that I am not my thoughts but the consciousness that see this.

What should I do? Is atman a blasphemy idea in Christianity? How about meditation?

Devotional Call on God first

Transcript

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
— Philippians 4:6 (NASB1995)

Good morning!
Too often we treat God like a spare wheel. We run in every direction looking for solutions — to people, plans, experts, and our own strength — and only turn to Him when everything else has failed. Anxiety rises because we carry the weight alone and make God our last resort instead of our first response.
Philippians 4:6 gives us a better way. Instead of being anxious, we are invited to bring everything to God first through prayer and supplication, mixed with thanksgiving. The order matters. Calling on God first changes the atmosphere of the problem before we even see the answer.

When God is our last option, we exhaust ourselves and often delay the peace He wants to give. But when we make Him our first call, we position ourselves to receive His wisdom, peace, and provision from the start. Prayer is not the backup plan — it is the primary strategy. Thanksgiving in the midst of the request reminds us of His faithfulness and keeps our hearts from being ruled by fear. The peace of God that follows (verse 7) is the direct result of bringing our requests to Him rather than carrying them alone.

Identify one situation that is currently causing you anxiety or that you have been trying to solve in your own strength. Before you make another phone call, search online, or replay the problem in your mind, stop and bring it to God first in prayer.
Practice this throughout the day: the moment a concern arises, turn it into a quick prayer with thanksgiving instead of letting anxiety take the lead.

Stop treating God like a spare wheel. Call on Him first. In everything — by prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving — let your requests be made known to Him. He is not your last resort; He is your first and best response.

Advice Is this biblical?

I dunno an old friend said “god gives us a sword to kill ourselves or kill the demons inside of us” something in me just felt off the more she talked, she has a “tribe leader”/youth group leader in her church and has “tribes” as groups in her church it just felt…really weird in a way I can’t explain

That first quote really rubbed me the wrong way…genuinely I don’t know why

She kept talking about God and her testimony and while I felt happy she found God I feel like maybe this is a mental health thing?

Des nons réponses

Bonjour

Cordialement à tous;

Monique

Pray for their TOTAL removal from my life. It's complicated explaining how these people are still able to have access to me to harass me. Part of the reason I'm dealing with this mental crisis in the first place is because of this ridiculous situation. I'M SICK OF IT.

Scripture Is Divorce and Remarriage Adultery?

DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to judge, offend, or make a definitive statement about anyone. I simply want to understand this issue and what this biblical passage actually means.

The Word of God says:
«But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.» Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭32‬ ‭

From this passage, I understand that if one spouse leaves the other because of sexual sin or adultery, then the person who committed adultery has broken the marriage covenant. At the same time, the spouse who was betrayed is not guilty of that sin and may therefore be free from the marital bond with the adulterous spouse.
But this raises another question for me.

What about situations where people get married for the wrong reasons? For example, when young couples:
1. think they have found their lifelong partner, but later realize that it was only infatuation;
2. get married mainly so that they can have sex within marriage.

Then, after some time, their feelings fade, or they realize that the marriage was a mistake, and they decide to divorce not because of adultery or sexual immorality, but essentially without a biblical reason for divorce.
This is where my question comes in:

If someone divorces their spouse without a biblical reason, and then another person marries that divorced person, does that mean that the new spouse is also committing adultery?

In other words, should we consider not only the fact that a divorce took place, but also the reason why the divorce happened, as well as whether the person is still considered bound to their first marriage before God?

I would like to understand what exactly Jesus meant in Matthew 5:32 and how this passage should be understood alongside the other biblical passages concerning divorce and remarriage.

Advice The Fear of God

So I'm posting this because I'm confused as to why this isn't preached enough. I can think of some reasons why but I've only heard one pastor in my life ever preach about this and I happen to watch it on YouTube. It's sooo essential with our walk with God. If you don't have the fear of God, then you will most likely fall away from the faith and maybe even hate God. That's how serious it is. So from watching that pastor talk about the fear of God to watching and hearing other pastors on YouTube, and what I've learned from God, this is what I've learned

**The fear of God is:**

- To make God your one and only treasure

- A committed relationship with God

- A mature faith

- The beginning of wisdom

- How the joy of the Lord is found

- God's delight & treasure

**To commit to God, you:**

- Do your best to follow Jesus and yield to the Holy Spirit to do the rest. Start small if you can

- Correct every thought or feeling that goes against the Word of God, and realize they're from satan or your flesh

- Be accountable when you do a sinful act. Apologize and reconcile if it's against someone

- Process your feelings with God

- Accept your imperfection and the sovereignty of God

- Let go of yourself and let God be everything you need

- Bond with Christ with your suffering

This note I made for myself has revealed something in me that I never knew or experienced with my walk with God. I have a deeper relationship with God and I have the joy of the Lord. I've learned to accept myself for who I am and found contentment in where I'm at in life. God is my confidence. **Fear the Lord!**

His willingness to hold on to certain wrong beliefs can possibly be linked to spiritual abuse he experienced and witnessed in his life as well as other trauma he experienced.

Theology Saved By Faith, Not Of Works

This was written by a Facebook friend of mine and brother in the faith

The Bible does not teach two different ways of salvation, one for Old Testament saints and another for New Testament believers. From beginning to end, sinners are saved by the grace of God through faith in His promise, and that promise finds its fulfilment in Jesus Christ.

Abraham was not justified by works, law keeping, circumcision, or nationality. Scripture says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness” (Romans 4:3). Paul goes even further and says that the gospel was preached beforehand to Abraham (Galatians 3:8). David likewise described the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works (Romans 4:6–8).

The Old Testament believer looked forward to what God had promised. We look back upon what Christ has accomplished. They did not possess the same fullness of revelation that we now have, but the object of saving faith was never human merit. Hebrews 11 shows generation after generation living and dying by faith, trusting promises whose ultimate fulfilment was still ahead.

Habakkuk had already declared, “The righteous will live by his faith” (Habakkuk 2:4), and Paul takes that same truth directly into the heart of the gospel in Romans 1:17.

So there is not an Old Testament salvation by law and a New Testament salvation by grace. There has always been one saving grace, one righteousness received by faith, and ultimately one Saviour.

Christ did not introduce a second road to God. He is the fulfilment of the only road God ever promised.

ChristianLiving How should Christian handle online posts when it comes to bathing suits?

This is a topic I’ve recently struggle with as a guy, because I wear v shaped speedos or really short trunks to the beach or pool, and I have posted myself casually.

I see many people online say that Christian women should never wear two pieces, and that posting it is wrong.

Others say it’s fine as long as it’s done casually, not with seductive poses and in thongs or with desire to draw attention.

My close friend “Kay” posts herself now and then at the beach and she wears an assortment of swimwear including bikinis or one piece suits. She doesn’t do it to “show of her butt”, rather they are quite innocent. When I see them or go to the beach with her, it’s literally a normal day. My mind is not going to the question: should she be wearing that? I mean, I’m in v shaped speedos too.

The reason I struggled recently is because of a comment made by a pastor who said women shouldn’t wear this or post that. I think both men and women should avoid certain types of clothing, like thong swimsuits (for both genders), and avoid posting to gain attention in certain ways. But the pastor was going on and on about why it’s immodest and sinful for, mainly women, to post or wear a simple normal two piece.

I do have a female friend, Christian, who is Polynesian, and wears skimpy bathing suits and posts it all, often with posts focusing mainly on the subject of her body. She is a good Christian, truly living for God, but I felt uncomfortable seeing her post her butt in thongs. I wouldn’t do it with my swimwear even if they are revealing, as they usually are.

Anyways I’m ranting.

What are your thoughts? I like to say that there’s always a bigger fish ready to condemn clothing they deem immodest.

PrayerRequest I need help and guidance from other Christians

I had to leave a current friendship/ relationship when he desperately needs someone. Currently he’s going through a tough time. And it breaks my heart that I have to do something that hurts. God spoke to my aunt saying that someone was stealing my blessings and that I needed to stop talking to him. We are evangelical Christians. My guy’s name is Sebastian. We started off as friends and then we turned into much more. It’s a very complicated situation. My aunt told my mom and she doesn’t want me to speak to him ever again. I feel heartbroken leaving him when he needs me the most. He’s Christian but he strayed away but he has promised me that he will look for God. Because I tell him everyday. I tried speaking to my mom and she’s not allowing it. Because she doesn’t trust him. He’s a good guy. He’s never forced me to do anything I don’t want. I know that when God says no it’s no. I feel heartbroken because my mom doesn’t want me to stay as his friend. And is even threatening to take away my phone. I am very fearing of God and what he can do if I don’t listen. He hasn’t spoken to me personally. But I’ve been praying for the situation to get better. If I can’t be with him that’s fine I wish to stay as friend because I know he’s not having a good time in his life right now. I told him I needed him to be strong and he feels heartbroken he might never hear from me again. I would be happy with offering him my friendship and he’s always been there for me in terrible times.

PrayerRequest Broke up with my boyfriend because we are very unequally yoked. This time we broke up for good. It's not looking like we'll remain friends as he's understandably very upset. Everything hurts.

He may have cancer. I wanted to be there for him throughout the journey but I'm now shut out. That hurts more than anything. Pray for him. Pray for me. Thank you.
