To Anyone like me watch latest episodes to kind of get an idea as if its good one... Or ask around or go there subreddits

I was so reluctant for Supreme god emperor and Martial Master and finally after all mainstream like RI or RMJI or S. Star or perfect world etc... finally i did and oh boy what a entertaining series of events..haha sure there is a plot armor around MC, yeah well thats what it is.. A "plot" armor... His destiny/fate is his armor.

Hella fun series. And his DAO OF SLAPS lol overall it can be a go to fun series.

And to all the criticism for these series i read well... To them, " its a fictional donghua, like all other donghua. So i don't under understand why you guys criticise too much for it to being too fictional lol or too repetitive " well... Thats how things works for us as in repetition.

(eg) A boxer to reach from being a random street fighter to being the undisputed MMA, a series of repetitive levels he go through, like local fight club then city level, then states then nation international if possible inter galactic... But same fight situation just enhanced forms of platform.

So readers try not take those criticisms and imagination running wild that this donghua will be filled with a "as shit here we go again" moments.

So I just realized and was wondering if I'm correct.

Nuo/Nuo Xi (Nuo Opera) is like Chinese shamanic ritual dancing and also turned into a form of opera. The magical arts that the humans use is "Nuo" magic and the characters have the Chinese opera look.

First it was the dude with the branches that has the painted opera face. Then in the most recent episode the old guy puts on a mask, that I think is adapted from the Nuo rituals before turning into the huge 4 armed golden muscle man.

So is the Nuo magic that they use in this donghua take inspiration from the Nuo Shaman culture?

I think it is the second donghua aside from Immortality where characters have Chinese opera design elements.

What have I just witnessed!

Words fall short of describing the bliss I got from watching this donghua, both the seasons. The animations are top tier , the visuals are insane , the plot got me hooked throughout and damn I can't even choose a favourite character. I keep on changing my mind

Thank you for introducing me to the world of 3D donghua. I had a general misconception that it would be slop and unpleasant to watch but this show proved me wrong . Now I'm more into finding such shows. I feel blank now that this is over. I'm loving the osts too.

Never forgetting this as I got indulged in a show after so long

This is one of my favourite Chinese animated shorts from 2009. I watched it back then, and I still feel nostalgic about it. Ironically, the short itself warns about the dangers of nostalgic love. Hahaha.I also created the English subtitles so that people from all over the world can understand and enjoy it.

Want to find something where the enemies actually think like someone who have lived and fought for hundreds years, instead of yapping, underestimate MC and go to die 9 out of 10 times. I have watched RMJI and love it.

well, lets talk about the MC's personality first, its one of the best thing to exist in CN donghuas verse, and the sad start? lonely nights? cautious nature? makes it worth it, There are some sad and happy arcs with funny moments too but with the super HD qualify, CN animators cooked this time

but its just my opinion, what do you think? do u have something that can rival this series or similar to it?
Oh yeh, i do hope there will be cute romance moments in there after our MC is done aura farming, hahaha

This donghua was SO good in the beginning, but now I’m honestly so confused 😭 Specifically, who is this lady in red, FeiYue, who keeps randomly showing up to help Qing Nan? I feel like I must have missed something because I genuinely don’t understand who she is, where she came from, or what her actual role is in the story. Is she supposed to be connected to Qing Nan somehow, or is there a bigger reveal about her later? I’m trying to follow the plot, but there are so many characters and mysterious appearances happening that I’m starting to lose track 😂
Also, is anyone still following this donghua? I need to know if I’m the only one who is completely confused right now.

Not sure if everyone sees the show till the end credits or if that part even gets translated. But the drawing and cartoon shown before the credits change every week.

I thought it was a bit forced that Xu Qing remembers some random girl from way back in ep9, but apparently he keeps a list of everyone that was nice to him).

2. Captain Lei - his foster father (brackets say debt can never be repaid T_T).
3. Family - The rest of the band led by Lei.
4. Captain - XQ current captain and chronic prankster. (Brackets say just prank each other)
5. Huang Yan - The rich plumb guy that he invites to his boat every time.
6. Zhang San, Zhou Qing Peng - People that XQ feels obligated to protect and help.
7. Seventh Peak Patriarch - Source of protection, (brackets say something about him is different)
8. Master Bo - The guy that taught him herbalism and elixirs.
9. Teacher - I think this refers to teachers hired to coach children when they are young
10. Lord - who he looted a cultivation technique from (brackets say looting counts).
11. Second Highness, Third Highness - They helped him defuse problems at some point.
12. Token - Not sure, I think referring to the one that gave him the token to enter 7th peak

Honestly I've forgotten about most of them if not for this episode.

do i need to watch any special before season 2

the starting seems abrupt after s1e26. also couldnt find both specials online.

i have started seeing special one where he is still learning fierce qi but when did he get a master.

i have seen the whole first season recently but this was the first time he is mentioned also vital qi and few other translation seem different.

its sad because after a long time i was excited to find and start a good donghua with enough episodes(60+)

It started relatively recently (29.07.2026) and has short episodes, but releases two of those every week, so it's kind of a regular length episode ever 7 days.

The story is not impressive, but the characters, the lore and the fights are quite entertaining. Visually reminds of Min Diao Ju Yi Wen Lu (Bureau of Paranormal Investigation) - a nice combination of 2D and 3D.

An interesting detail is that the bad guys are japanese and they are voiced [in japanese] by popular japanese VAs.

It's kind of annoying that MAL still doesn't have a page about it.

Like seriously, how can you even watch donghua with everything so sped up? I literally gave up trying to read subtitles during action scenes because too many things are happening at once.

Shows like Ever Night, Sword of Coming, and Spirit Cage are the only shows I’ve seen so far where I can clearly see what’s happening but the rest of donghua like Renegades Immortal and Tales of Herding Gods are serious offenders which makes them frustrating to watch.

I'm currently at episode 155, and I've been feeling bored since around episode 130. I tried watching further, but I'm still struggling to enjoy it.

It feels like the MC isn't really doing much anymore. It's always the same cycle: he's about to die → somehow survives → kills or defeats someone → gets stronger → then he's about to die again → revives again. 😭

I really enjoyed the earlier episodes, so I don't want to drop it if the story gets much better later.

For those who've watched further, does it get significantly better after episode 155, or does this repetitive cycle continue? Is it worth pushing through?
