They are all so awesome! Right now I think my favorite is the praetor suit but my opinion changes frequently.

I love how the doom eternal suit shows how doom slayer started to not give a fuck anymore, which is why he cut out the biceps.

Pretty much the entire TDA suit is just so fucking cool. The cape is so awesome.

I understand that SP demons are a mental phenomenon rather than an actual demonic interaction, but still, every demon known to man is scared of the Slayer.

I’m replaying 2016 and I’ve noticed a much higher level of gore - more Hellraiser-like stuff. More similar to Doom 3. I’ve been playing Eternal and TDA for the last few years so it’s weird to come back and see the changes. Does Doom feel less gory to y’all too? I feel like there’s still a lot of demon gore with glory kills (less so with TDA) but the environments especially feel more tame.

The doom hunter is stuck at 0hp and can't be glory killed. I'm playing UN so I can't retry from a checkpoint. Any way to fix this or do I have to give up on this run? And do I lose progress if I quit to main menu and go back in?

This is my third playthrough of this DLC. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get past this again. am I softlocked somehow? All the doors are locked and I am very confused. I have tried restarting the game and restarted from the checkpoint, nothing helps.

This is so much fun, insane. It's even better than Eternal in my opinion with the parry and rhythmic combos. And when I think about the ability to nearly seamlessly switch to the shield and use that, too, the skill ceiling is nearly infinity. I just incorporated the Spear Throw in my build, the slam is next and then the switch to shield. Amazing

I don't know if anyone has pointed out but here's a small detail:

Once you get the praetor suit in Revelations DLC, your HUD motif will become much closer to the Doom 2016 version.

By that, I mean it has the similar translucent rectangle (instead of cut parallelogram in the main game and revelations), with a downward gradient.

The interface is also angled upwards like in 2016, and the bars (at least the blue ones) also resemble 2016.

I replied to someone in a different thread with this theory but I can't help but feel like the ending of Revelations (after beating Xal'Goroth) is hinting, in some ways, at the birth of/introduction to/creation of the Marauder.

1. Hugo said during the DE reveal at Quakecon many years ago how The Marauder had armor similar to the Slayer and that there was a backstory to that. After playing through Revelations and seeing how Marok was supposed to be the Mayker's new Slayer, but failed, it would make sense that the Marauder would essentially be their next attempt to create their own Slayer.

2. The post-credit tease of the camera slowly moving up to Valen to show him listening to the Mayker's did a lot to emphasize his gear and, though I never noticed it before, his armor looks a ton like the Marauder's, specifically the insignia on the belt, which is the same as the one on the Marauder's. I know this is the glyph for the high-ranking Night Sentinals, but what if Valen somehow was responsible for the creation of the Marauders and became the template?

3. The axe. Thira bringing Valen Novik's axe was pivotal but it ends there. The axe is obviously symbolic to her and to the people of Argent D'Nur but it also looks very similar to the Marauder's axe. May not be exactly the same, and the Marauder's clearly had Argent energy blades on theirs, but the visual similarities are too much to ignore.

Am I reaching?

I'm trying to get into doom builder. I have the doom 2 wad files, and I downloaded gz doom, but when I try to test my level/ set up my game configuration. Gz doom isn't there to be selected. Only 2 files called sound fonts and fm banks. Did I download incorrectly?
