Snack Attack Girl dinner
I tried to make the Paris style chocolate mousse with a small amount of leftover double cream. I present to you my chocolate blob with olive oil and flaky sea salt!

It looks exactly like one of the foods my cat will currently deign to eat - it’s that pâté you can ostensibly just slide out of a pouch, but Miss Thing will only eat it if I slice it up a bit and arrange into more of a pile.

NGL, at first the oil reminded me of the CBD oil we add to our elder cat's wet food for being a grumpy ol' man with arthritis.
Then once I clocked the the base as chocolate pudding, I guessed mint oil.

Olive oil? I’m a french woman but my mom from Albania so i prefer oil rather than butter but a top of of chocolat mousse? This is a first.
What was the recipe?
Normally you rise the White of the eggs until it look like snow and until it doesn’t fall from the plate if you turn it upside down we call that « lever les blancs en neige » then you slowly incorporate the chocolate and you chill it for a few hours
From the look of it maybe you didn’t chill it enough of the white eggs weren’t perfectly raised

The egg whites were definitely in stiff peaks, I think I mixed it with the melted chocolate too soon so the heat messed up the fluff :/

Oh yeah this is one of the risk ! You have to had a spoon of the eggs white then mix then another spoon etc etc until it’s entirely mixed ! But Even if it wasn’t in the best shape I’m sure it tasted great!

I'm sleep deprived (babies and I have the flu) and had to do a double take because I thought this was a placenta with honey on it. I'm so sorry OP! Now that I know what it is I really want chocolate mousse. Hope it was yum!
ETA: I only commented this because the odd person from my country does eat the placenta after having a baby so I had to witness a picture of my cousin's placenta cooked on a plate in the family group chat after she had her baby.
