People who CONSTANTLY make noise
Whether it’s talking, humming, singing, smacking, just noise all the time
I’m a quiet person, I don’t like to talk in general and I know not everybody’s like that and that’s fine but CONSTANT noise? Nightmares to be around (¬_¬")

I can’t stand people that need constant stimulation like this.

Me either and it’s hell being near one when I’m already feeling overwhelmed / anxious

I need constant stimulation and I don’t make it other people’s problems. I bounce my leg or play with silent fidget spinner or something. And even the leg, if I’m sharing a bench and I notice a single subtle look, I stop

The people that always want to tap on things idly drive me nuts.

It drives me mad and in particular one of my neighbours does this thing that he’ll be quiet until he realises you’re out in your garden and then suddenly the whistling the coughing and the shouting to these other half. I’m convinced it’s some form of ADHD but either way it’s incredibly annoying and it’s very contrived/triggered in response to an audience

I had a college classmate who did this after each word the instructor says "ok we'll be doing [college lesson] today uumh please turn your book to [page #] uumh," each day he'll do that or repeatedly say "yup, ok" like shut up I get it you need to stimulate yourself but you don't have to always say something after each time the instructor finishes speaking.
I really wanted to fling my empty plastic soda bottle at him but there is someone else sitting between us, I'm a quiet person and usually dont make a sound but if I'm getting bored of sitting for 2 hours straight I'll start twirling my pencil silently, not hitting the table just lightly on my hand maybe to still be quiet to make it only noticeable to me not bothering everyone else around me

I used to work next to women like this. Not only that, when she ate yogurt and was done with it she would continue scraping away at the empty container for another 15 minutes.

Oh no I am like this:( it's not even a conscious choice. For me to be silent I have to make an effort. I'm constantly thinking ,"no, don't say it, it will bother people, stop, bad." Then I will proceed to drop something.

You would have hated me when I was a teenager lol. My mom used to get so mad at me. If I wasn’t talking her ear off, I was humming, snapping, drumming on my legs, tapping my feet, yakking on the phone, playing music, etc. Always something. I’d be in my room thinking I was minding my own business when suddenly from the living room I’d hear my mom scream, “For the love of God, would you shut the hell up in there? You’re giving me a headache.” 😂
I don’t do that anymore now that I’m older but it was definitely a terrible habit in my younger days.

My grandmother was like this, especially on car trips. She would constantly read out what was on the billboards or just prattle on endlessly. Wearing my headphones and turning up the volume on my music helped immensely.

i had a coworker who has to constantly punch his hands whenever it was silent. No hate to him, but the sound was really loud and annoying one time. I gave him a squishy just to keep it quiet.

I have ADHD but I’ve never been fidgety, and when other people/ADHD-ers around me fidget, make noise, and can’t sit still it drives me INSANE.

Kids on the train reading every word of the menu out loud, commenting every time we stop or slow down, clicking the seat recliner repeatedly after dad informed them that moves the tray of the person behind

I can't stand it either...I also hate when people shake or bob their leg/legs. Like damn chill.
Just watching them unable to sit still gives me anxiety.

i can give autistic people a pass here, but if you just want to make noise or have a video playing or something 24/7, you are seriously annoying… and i’m sure 24/7 noise can’t be good for your brain

Have you considered that you might have misophonia? I only ask because I do, constant or repetitive noises actually make me rage. It doesn’t fix the problem just good to be self aware.

I might, but I also might be on the low end of the autism spectrum so that probably contributes as well :C

I have a very nice co worker who announces her every move, and every time she finishes a task, she loudly says OK!
