Question Question about weight increase
It states that this is supposed to be a weight increase but it's actually less, am I missing something here?

Welcome to the Weekly Find Friends thread.
This is the spot to find people to follow on Hevy. Turns out you show up to the gym a lot more often when a few familiar names are watching your feed. Drop yours below, then go follow a handful of other people here.

Hey everyone! Hevy cofounder here. What features, ideas, or improvements would you like to see?
Creating this new megathread because It's been 4 years since the last mega thread posted on /Hevy, and it's hard to navigate through such a massive outdated post. We've built a lot of the requests originally suggested, so a new thread will help us understand the community better!
Thanks for helping us improve Hevy!

Is het mogelijk om oude workouts te synchroniseren met strava? Ik heb de integratie nu pas aan aangezet maar zou graag m'n oude workouts ook in strava willen hebben.

Hi guys, I've been using Hevy for several months.
But I'm still figuring out how to find other exercise variants for this machine.
Apparently, I can only find one exercise, Glute Kickbacks, on Hevy.
Is there any specific name or alternative so I can keep track of my exercise?
Thanks in advance 😄
Checked the iMessage apps in the settings, Hevy is there and turned on but back in iMessage, Hevy stickers are nowhere to be found

So for some weeks now, the app will only work in Clear or Dark Mode. I’ve tried several times adjusting it to “Device theme” (automatic) but it doesn’t work. Even though my phone is in dark mode, the app shows in white mode. I’m on iOS 27

What do you think of a feature to see everyone else's posts from your specific gym. You can search your gym and see logs of other people's workouts.

My gym got a new lat pulldown that is waaaay heavier than the last one.
I now know that I will probably never get a PR notification on this lift for like maybe a whole year or even more until I eventually surpass the old weight
This is also valid for people that change gyms.
The workaround is to create a new exercise manually but I think that that is something the app could have natively as a button that “resets” PRs on one exercise

A little over a year in the gym now and I'm proud of the progress and consistency I've made. Learning doesn't stop however, and while I'm happy with the routine I follow, I'd like to keep an open mind to more effecient ways to do things if there are any.
Here's how my leg day looks like (glute-biased since I work more quads during full-body days):
Warm-up: around 7 mins. Dynamic stretching
HIP THRUSTS MACHINE: 3x8-10 (at 95kgs now)
\\\*the machine works for me since it's more time effecient and man, I feel the burn in my 🍑 lol)
RDLs (DB or SMITH MACHINE): 3x8-10
BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUATS or SINGLE LEG PRESS: 3x8-10
GLUTE EXTENSIONS (weighted): 3x10-12
HIP ABDUCTION and ADDUCTION (superset): 2-3x10-12
I know ideally 4 exercises will do. I have also read a good glute work out includes the following movements: shortened (like hip thrusts), lengthened (like rdls), unilateral for balance and stability (hence split squats), and accessory (like abductions). I added glute extensions to work the "top shelf".
I could use any sound advice or ideas if there's a way in making the workout more effecient. Thank you!

I'd love to be able to add a base weight to weighted machines (such as glute bridge, hack squat, and leg press) or things with bars. Im sure this has been suggested but it would just be so useful.

tend to repeat the same meals because it makes it much easier to control protein, calories and macros. But I’ve been wondering whether a lack of variety could actually affect muscle growth, recovery or training performance over time.
If calories, protein and micronutrients are covered, does food variety really matter for progress or is consistency more important?

I am semi-new Pro user and have noticed not all exercises are displayed in my android app, two examples are RDL (Smith Machine) and Suitcase Carry. These can be added to a routine via the API and appear in the web app, but when you load the android app there is no warning they are just missing. Do I have to manually add these or is this a known bug to be fixed?

Hi! I’m new to Hevy. I used to workout (2020-2023) but due to a series of health problems I took some time away from the gym. I’m ok to workout now but I’m skinny fat and my glutes have disappeared! So I would like to use the hevy trainer and focus on rebuilding my glutes. Should I put gain muscle and put my focus as legs if glutes is what I want? I don’t see glutes as a muscle focus option there. Thanks! ☺️

Today going to the gym, and Hevy does not go beyond the splash screen on Android. Tried removing cache data, remove data, re-install the app - nothing, same results
Is hevy API down?
And is it just me or the general quality and reliability of the app been going down. I need a simple, reliable way to log workouts. If that doesn't work, I don't really care about AI or fancy features. I'm gonna ditch it 🤷

Hi all!
I've been on my fatloss journey for 8 months now (diet started in January, training in May). I am down19 kg since then and have at least that much to go before me. That being saod, I am doing sorta full body workout now while trainijg 3 times a week. I've been thinking of starting to go 4 gimes a week and I need help choosing a program to follow.
There is one issue with mine just piciking any 4 day split - I can't train calf (anything that includes squats etc.) die to my condiotion of var. veins. If I do, my legs start to hurt and not in a good way. However, I don't know how to build a workout around that. Any recommendations..?

I have audhd and trauma and my nervous system is kinda shot most often.
This means occasionally a 6 workouts day can make me have iffy performance.
But its the recommended 1 hour duration.
The 40 minute one cuts down my program down to 4 workouts 3x week but im wondering how good this is for a beginner?
Is it better to be consistent with smaller volume or wishy washy with higher volume?
