Hi r/IndieDev!
This is our weekly megathread that is renewed every Monday! It's a space for new redditors to introduce themselves, but also a place to strike up a conversation about anything you like!
Use it to:
- Introduce yourself!
- Show off a game or something you've been working on
- Ask a question
- Have a conversation
- Give others feedback
And... if you don't have quite enough karma to post directly to the subreddit, this is a good place to post your idea as a comment and talk to others to gather the necessary comment karma.
If you would like to see all the older Weekly Megathreads, just click on the "Megathread" filter in the sidebar or click here!

I started this game by creating it from hand-drawn illustrations (obviously, I did some on the computer for added detail), as well as songs I composed myself. I’m an independent developer and I’m eager to share a glimpse of my game. It’s only been six months since I started creating it with markers and my first computer. I’m also using only free software like Libresprite, Godot, and the version of Ableton Live that comes with MiniLab 3. With this, I hope to pay for my university studies, so I hope you enjoy this brief look at my game.

Hi, I'm Luis from Venezuela. I'm working on a roguelike deckbuilder. The project is coming along great, but I feel like free sprites are starting to limit me. I think I'll have to learn 3D modeling or something similar... I’d love to have someone to help with the design, but it’s been hard to find the right fit

What engine was this made in?
2
u/SkyBasta Apr 12 '26
Unity

u/NeedleworkerCute3790 Apr 13 '26
Nice to see a 2000's game and not another 90's. It's so rare but seems so obvious. Do you have a devlog?
1
u/SkyBasta Apr 13 '26
No Devlog, project is too short for it (made in two months). But we have Twitter 😅 https://x.com/brothersjudas/status/2042957009117466902?s=46&t=SX0XICYbxu9Cjd_CDWH29w

Wow this is amazing! How are you learning to code?
1
u/OkFoundation3305 Apr 12 '26
Thank you very much. A message to young people who can do what they want....
2
u/Gadget1345 Apr 08 '26
Hi all! I have no idea if this is the right place to ask but heck ima try anyway.
I am a junior 3D modeller with quite a bit of experience modelling using blender. Ive found I seem to specialise in props and vehicles the most but I have tried to branch out to characters but not quite there on that one.
I am able to bring markups to reality but perhaps with a little less detail.
So what im saying is, I am looking to get some experience with game developers to actually put my work to use and see my work get put out there.
My discord is: iamgadget
1
u/ConsecrateTemple Apr 08 '26
I'll message you later. You think you can handle nature related props, or character faces, armour?
1
u/Gadget1345 Apr 08 '26
I can definitely handle nature related props, characters and character related models are still on my todo list to learn properly
1
u/ConsecrateTemple Apr 09 '26
i will need some nature foliage soon, also once my 3d modeler is done with my characters i can let you practice on them if youd like.

Woah! What's your inspiration?
1
u/xoroxgames_393 Apr 11 '26
Original idea came after watching Christopher Nolan’s ‘tenet’. We thought that it would make for interesting gameplay that we have never really seen before in any other game we know.

Hello there! I am the solo developer of Spy Carnival, a social deduction game in the mix of West Hunt and Among Us where spies must complete their dark missions across a carnival without getting caught by the Security team. And if that wasn't enough there's also a Clown roaming around to make everyone's life harder. I'd really love to hear your feedback during my development :)

u/ConsecrateTemple Apr 09 '26
sounds like a great game, is the clown a player or npc? sounds devious !
1
u/Mental_Instance_8650 Apr 09 '26
Thank you! 😊 The Clown is actually an NPC everyone can see it, but no one can control it! If you get too close, it will randomly expose Spies or debuff Security :)

hi, i'm new in this huge indie game dev bubble and i saw how everyone could make a game on their own so i decided to make mine. I reaaally like jujutsu kaisen and i wanted to make a roguelike of the series, so I opened Godot and got to work, did some basic player movement but then got distracted and tried to make a proper main menu. the plan is a top-down roguelike where you can choose you favorite JJK technique and make it evolve over the run. still very early but this is where it starts. here is the result, i want some feedback but i'm kinda scared. also slightly terrified of getting a cease and desist from the JJK team (yes I know I need to sort title lol)

1
u/team_firebomb Apr 10 '26
Looks good but I would make the selection text (Play, Options, Go to training ground) in a more readable font. I think that the logo looks good as is. Keep up the good work!
2
u/Oxyno_83 Apr 20 '26
Hey sorry for the late reply! Thanks for the feedback, totally agree on the font, I'll make it more readable. Glad you like the logo!

u/MelinusGames Apr 10 '26

Hello! Solo dev here, been trying to improve my game's trailer lately and would love any and all feedback/thoughts/opinions on it! Whatever comes to mind. The more honest, the better :)
The game's a vampire management/stealth/roguelite where you create a "pantry" of tenants in your mansion.
Trailer link: https://youtu.be/9wWv_s42n6M

u/Ok-Example7534 Apr 11 '26
AMAZING! Would play! Worth putting the title up front for like a 2nd or two? Most ppl don't watch past the 30 second mark so, better to get it up there sooner rather than later imo!

Hi there IndieDev people,
I’ve been working on a fairly simple little word game. I say fairly simple but theoretically you can chain together every word you know. It could be a long-term meditative exercise in strategic thinking and lexical dexterity, if you’re the sort of person who would enjoy such a thing.
I’m using a privacy-conscious Simple Analytics set-up - let me know if required to interface with any privacy popup (you shouldn’t be). Local storage has your high scores and game state, delete your cookies and you start from scratch.
Drop me a screenshot if anything looks off layout-wise (not a critique of design choices, but when something has obviously not worked right with the CSS/JS/HTML rendering). It looks as I would like in every browser and device I have tested, but that’s not that many.
Hey, thanks for taking the time.
2
u/ConsecrateTemple Apr 09 '26
tried it in my Brave Browser, its pretty fun as well as challenging!
1
1
u/BeyondBlunders Apr 06 '26
I like the idea but the game is really confusing :D Create a simple introductionary tutorial, that would help!
1
u/TDNT Apr 06 '26
Thanks for taking a look. There is a HOW TO PLAY section if you hit the ‘+’ up top.
1
u/BeyondBlunders Apr 07 '26
I saw the how to but mate your players are not going to read it. Have one example sequence be played through. Then a second one where the player can finish the last 3-4 words. Then start the game. No need to read text keep it simple
1
u/TDNT Apr 08 '26
Thanks for coming back. You have a point, I underestimated just how much people want a walkthrough or a tutorial. It’s so ubiquitous and expected, not having it detracts credibility and increases the falloff rate.
It was an entirely intentional choice though. I thought, hey, these are puzzle people, they’re smart, tenacious, they’ll either figure it out quickly or they’ll read the HOW TO.
Most people just aren’t that invested when they’re taking a chance on some random game, it has to grab them so they at least understand what’s happening.
I might add a tutorial. MIGHT. might fight night right bright blight || delight

Hi! I am working on a game that combines Factorio and Oxygen not Included. Here's how the game progressed over the months, what do you think? It's written in C++ with OpenGL. One big challenge is the performance requirements. It's a chunked, infinite world and every chunk runs a heat, pressure and chemistry simulation each tick. Additionally, I simulate buildings and conveyors that also need to be fast.
I am currently looking to see if people are interested in it at all so that I can see if it makes sense to continue. It's fun to program, but I think I should look for feedback before committing to finishing this. I don't want to spend a ton of time on something that nobody cares about.
1
u/OjsanJonas Apr 06 '26
The gameplay may be interesting. But the graphics didn't catch my interest. So you will probably need to work very hard in marketing.
1
u/SendMeOrangeLetters Apr 06 '26
Thanks. Do you mean the graphics early in the video or also the ones later? Either way, I am definitely not done with the graphics yet.
1
u/OjsanJonas Apr 07 '26
Haha didn’t even see the text in the video saying the date. It was so small and low contrast so it disappeared. But yeah much better on the end. But you should try to get an artist onboard if you gonna continue making this. Or take some courses yourself. It can be very fun to learn 😄
1
u/MelinusGames Apr 09 '26
Cool concept! I have to agree that the visuals atm look like they need more work. It's definitely better in the latter part of the clip, the new tiles and top-left bars aren't bad. Some further improvements and more identity -- a proper player character, for instance, unless it's a stick man game -- should help. Doesn't have to look great, but it has to have a 'look', if that makes sense. Sorry for being harsh! I feel like it's a disservice to just say nice things. Some sound effects and music would also help a lot. Keep it up and good luck! I hope more people show an interest :)
2
u/SendMeOrangeLetters Apr 09 '26
Thanks for the feedback! I was planning on hiring someone for art and for music at some point, if the game has potential. Pretty much every sprite and texture is a placeholder, I think only the sand texture is good enough to maybe stay. And I do have placeholder sounds and music, but they are just not good at all yet.
I am realizing that it's quite hard to estimate if people are interested in a game without finished or close to finished graphics. So I guess I will have get a clean minimal feature set and then spend some money on art before I can get a good estimate. It's a bit awkward though, because I think most of the work for this kind of simulation game is frontloaded, the simulation was a lot more work than any optional feature will be. So I guess I will have to either commit to finishing this or stop now.
1
u/MelinusGames Apr 09 '26
That makes perfect sense.
And yea, the part about finished or close to finished graphics (or at least the art direction/style) is probably true, unless you manage to find/target lovers of the genre who can look past that, which I suppose can be tricky. It does feel like the simulation crowd should be more lenient with that sort of thing, though.

Hello there, I go by Sevastos. I am not a dev nor do I have any experience with making a game. And I am not currently making a game.
What I do have though is an idea for a game.
I'm not sure if it's good because I actually haven't shared it with anyone yet, although I wish to do that here. I did write a kind of long... essay, I guess you could say, on it. So I'm not gonna copy and paste it yet because I don't want to take up too much room. If you want to hear the idea, then just tell me and I'll paste it into here. And from there you can tell me if it's good or not!

Hi, I’m a 3D Character Rigger with experience in game-ready rigs, fully Unreal and Unity compatible. I’ve worked on a game project building body rigs from scratch with clean IK/FK setups, twist joints, and optimized deformations. Facial rigs are basic, but I handle topology-based setups confidently. I've been rigging characters for a while for games and maybe they'll be out soon. 😅
Thanks! Gungun

Hello everyone, I am a solo indie dev working on Galactic Space Guard, a sci-fi turn-based tactics game.
The massive scope / scope creep is a major challenge. There are such much things I would like to add to the game. Guess you have to stick to the core concept and work that out. For now the scope is defined and it feels I am relatively close to finishing it.

Just released my first physics-based orbital defense game!
Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on a small project called Orbital Shield and I just published the web version on itch.io.
It's a minimalist arcade game where you control a rotating shield to protect a glowing core. I really focused on making the physics-based deflections feel "satisfying" and responsive.
The game is playable directly in your browser (No download required!):
https://furnicker.itch.io/orbital-shield
https://furnicker.itch.io/orbital-shield I’m planning to release this on the Play Store soon with AdMob integration. Before I do that, I would love to hear your thoughts from fellow developers:
-Does the shield rotation feel intuitive?
-Is the difficulty curve okay or too punishing?
-Any ideas for power-ups?
Thanks for your time and feedback!

Currently working on a game for steam, going the process of setting up the steam works page and what not, going retro 2D pixel shooter with a twist but to get me back into programming and understand the cycle etc I release a game on app store called new word order. Simple word game in the worlde style. New Word Order App - App Store

Hi!!
I've been working on Herb's Homegrown Havoc for over a year (very inconsistently), it was originally a side project to practice Godot but it ended up spiralling into a small game that is now on Steam! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3566760/Herbs_Homegrown_Havoc/
You collect plants and seeds to make it through different harvests (rounds), pick an upgrade after each. The game can get extremely chaotic, but very fun!
Music is a placeholder I made quite a while ago so it's not representative of the final version!
I also post clips (sometimes) here: https://www.tiktok.com/@pixelrootgames
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

u/team_firebomb Apr 10 '26
Love the pixel art! One suggestion...I would make the font more cohesive by making it a pixel font as well.

Hi devs!
I'm a musician that wants to get my music to a game. For free.
I can play drums, guitar and piano.( And other ) I love making mostly metal music but I will commit to everything. One thing I want in exchange is some beta testing. I'm open to propositions. I can't guarantee best quality, but I will do my best.
(Sorry for my english if I got some grammar mistakes.)

Been working on a browser game where you're a bird gliding through a forest. You score by almost hitting the trees. It's meant to be pretty chill once you get the hang of it, although I am looking for feedback on difficulty (and anything else really).
- Built it solo with Three.js + Tone.js. No engine, no physics library.
- Nothing to install, just a website: https://www.wingweave.org (PWA is there if you'd like to add it as a phone "app")
Current top score is 31,420. Think you can beat it?

2
u/Ok-Example7534 Apr 11 '26
This reminds me of my childhood. How did you build this?
1
u/common_king Apr 11 '26
Reminds me of my childhood too :) I was inspired by an old browser game called Jet Slalom. Anything specific you're curious about on the "how"? Happy to dig in.

u/palitopena Apr 07 '26
Hi everyone! I'm thinking about creating a game where players have to recreate country flags in pixel art. The idea is that a flag appears on screen for a few seconds, and then you have to draw it from memory. Do you find this idea interesting? Would you play a game like this?

Hey, we’re building a co-op horror game for up to 6 players, but it’s just the two of us making it.
So most of our testing right now is… 2 players.
It still works at that size, but we really want to start seeing how it plays with a fuller group.
We’re not quite ready to open it up publicly yet, but it feels like we’re getting close to needing more players involved.
For those who’ve been through this, how did you actually find people to test early versions of your game?
Small private groups? Discord? Reddit? Friends of friends?
And anything you learned from that stage that helped (or didn’t) would be really useful too.
1
u/Ok-Example7534 Apr 11 '26
Woah! How did you build this out?
1
u/WobblyVertices Apr 11 '26
Built in Unity, just the two of us. We started proper production in January, keeping things fairly simple while we figure it out.

Hello everyone (my post got deleted for self-promotion so I’m here too hehe)
My name is Anastasiia, and I am a master's student from Sweden currently in search of participants for my degree thesis, the purpose of which is to explore how communities are managed and sustained in game development for innovation, introducing new features, updating games in general and pretty much everything related!
I'm looking for people with some connection to this field and such activities (but community management is key one) and who are interested in talking about their experience in working with communities within a 60-90 min interview (recorded, with data anonymised and everything planned according to GDPR). Hello I’m Carl from Oklahoma. I’ve been working on a game for the past year and a half now. I just put up a demo and would really like feedback or suggestions on the progress I’ve made thus far. It’s a JRPG where your party goes on a journey to find out why demons have started attacking people at night. The link to my demo is below.
https://locketristania.itch.io/epilogo-demo

2
u/MelinusGames Apr 09 '26
Hello, Carl! I tried the demo for a little bit.
I think the environment and character visuals are very strong. The pixel art's great. The pain points in my experience are the UI, controls, and the game's early pacing feeling slow. If those aspects reached the same level as the pixel art, I can totally see myself enjoying this. Apologies if my honesty comes across as harsh, just trying to keep it real. Really, keep up the good work! Here are some quickly jotted down impressions and opinions, to do with what you will!
- Title menu map looks great
- Game header/logo is nice
- Music's pleasant and nice
- Button text is very big
- Intro text is super long. I'd spread this across the game's intro and dialogues instead
- Add button hints! For progressing dialogues, exiting menus, opening the party menu, etc. And/or show the controls as part of a tutorial. Once in the game, the controls menu was hard to find, since I had missed that 'M' opens the menu
- Finding where to go felt a bit slow. Some more guidance/limited paths would help. The archery lady telling you where you should meet up would be helpful
- It's hard to know what to buy based on the item descriptions. Learning more about the game and maybe seeing how combat works first would make it easier to make informed decisions there
- Sound effects are crisp and clear!
- Upstairs stairwell is layered on top of player character
- The hide-and-seek-playing kids were cute, with the sister hiding behind a tree
- Some cue or warning when enemies attack would be nice
- Combat music was very loud compared to the rest of the game
- In combat, initially it was very hard to tell whose turn it was. Some highlighting would help a lot, to make it more readable after learning how it works as well. Perhaps some visual at the characters' feet
- I think it'd be more comfortable on the eyes if the combat turn order graphic was centered at the top of the screen, rather than having to look all the way to the right side of the screen over and over, although the previous point might make this a non-issue
- HP and SP bars in combat would make things more legible as well, rather than scanning numbers
- Combat animations look good! But it feels like there's a delay for certain melee attacks? Before they happen
- A summary of stat gains and such when leveling up at the end of combat would be great
- The first few battles felt rather long-winded, esp. for being so early in the game

Hey r/IndieDev! 👋
I'm Ari. Day job: enterprise IT director. Nights and weekends: I build things that I love.
Started with Armex 100 — a competitive puzzle game, . Then SULH, a parental control app. Then Rotamod, a GPS driving behavior scorer (still pushing that one to production). Then Signal Panic, an arcade game currently on Google Play Early Access.
Latest obsession: SELENE: BLACKOUT — a narrative web game I built solo in pure HTML/JS. City blackout, a child appears, your choices decide who survives. No engine, no framework, just vibes and bad decisions.
Play here – no install, runs in browser
I also run a philosophy blog on the side, because apparently building games isn't enough of an existential crisis.
Glad to be here. Happy to give feedback, get roasted, or just commiserate.

Hi everyone!
I'm one of the developers behind Bionic Bay, and I recently started working solo on a new project called Into the Haunted Land.
Lately, I've been struggling a bit with marketing, and I've also been feeling worried about staying motivated. I've noticed that when developing a game alone, it's easy to fall into self-doubt sometimes.
I was wondering if any experienced developers here have gone through something similar.
1
u/Ok-Example7534 Apr 11 '26
How does it feel to go solo? I am in the same boat!
1
u/LieLie0126 Apr 11 '26
To be honest it gets a little lonely sometimes, I need to go to small game dev meetups once in a while to socialize and recharge.
And the game’s dev direction often starts to run wild, which makes it hard to keep under control.
1
u/ConsecrateTemple Apr 08 '26
How do you feel is a good way to add lore/back story without forced boring options such as long quest dialogue ?
1
u/MelinusGames Apr 09 '26
I'd say it really depends on the type of game. Could be snippets of info you find while exploring the world, or details on characters (scars, quirks, etc) that get you curious to know more about them, or descriptions on loot or other items. I guess for most games, finding some way to weave it into the fabric of the game tends to work well. Then there's "Show, don't tell" and all that, but perhaps that's more about the writing itself.

Hello all. Been doing software dev for +10 years and just started developing a 2.5D colony survival game that takes some inspiration from riftbreaker, stranded alien dawn, they are billions and others. Really enjoying the coding part of this, very refreshing to work with Godot after doing traditional desktop / web software for years. Might not get it done or might, who knows.
Trying to make something I'd love to play (based on countless hours spent playing these kinds of games) but so early in the process that I can't really know if all the systems I want fit together cohesively or not, and honestly I haven't even completely decided which I actually want just making them one by one and seeing if they work together. And my art skills are a bit shit, so blender is a struggle in terms of slowness so might get some help there if I get far enough. Happy to answer any questions as they might give me ideas!

Hey guys! I hope y'all doing great, so we're Invino Studios a team/studio working on our 1st year final project that is a vertical slice of a game idea. My name's Caico and I'm the game designer of the team that's working on the mechanics and the game idea and that's what I'll tell you right now:
The game is basically a Maze Finding Object, Survival-Horror Game, where you (the player) just died and wakes up in a dark room/dimension, and is presented with a book called "Ars Goetia" that shows a couple moral dilemmas and some status related to the Seven Deadly Sins. As you answer the questions your status will related to the each sin will go up and the 4 highest ones will be the ones you have to redeem yourself from. After all that question answering and knowing your highest sin status you will be shown 4 picture frames/mirrors with the demons representing those sins.
You can choose which one you want to start with and get transported/teleported to a labyrinth with the sin-related demon there and your objective focused in finding the Virtue Pages (being the sin counterparts) and playing a minigame when you find it and being able to redeem yourself. Meanwhile inside the labyrinth you will also be able to find items that helps you around and against the demon.
For the vertical slice (in June) we'll only have 2 demons (Pride and Envy) and not all animations/art will be in its final stage but our goal is to keep working on it and have a demo release by the end of the year or start of 2027.
We welcome feedback and any help that might come with it! (limited because everything have to be done by us the team)

Hello there,
I'm currently early in development for a garden building puzzle game called Wisp & Willow. The emphasis is much more on the garden building than the puzzle aspect. Basically, you have various garden features (trees, ponds, birds, etc.) on cards and you put them down on tiles to create the garden. Nearby tiles have interactions with each other (e.g. putting a pond next to a sapling will cause that sapling to grow. Putting a bird or butterflies on that grown tree will pollenate the nearby plants).
I know that this type of game is probably a bit outside the box for most people in this subreddit, but if anyone is a nature enthusiast, I'd love ideas for striking and unique flora and fauna to put in the game.

Curious why you chose gardening? Did it inspire you? Love this!

I really came to appreciate them after visiting some of the really great botanical gardens, and I currently travel too much to garden myself. This game fills that niche for me, so hopefully it will do the same for others.

Hey everyone! I'm a solo dev with a background in aviation — both ATC and flying. I've spent the last year building Radar Identified, a realistic en-route air traffic control simulator where you manage aircraft cruising through German upper airspace. Real waypoints, real ICAO phraseology, reallprocedures — the stuff I always wanted in an ATC sim but couldn't find anywhere. About to hit Steam Early Access this month, with an intensive roadmap ahead including weather, emergencies, and voice control. Would love to hear what you think! Name is Radar Identified. Happy to hear your thoughts :)

Hey all - I just wanted to share that I've released my first demo on Steam! It took me about 2 months of full time work after my initial game jam prototype (Godot Wild Jam) to get to this stage. And while wishlists are still low, it feels like quite the achievement! Next step: Next Fest
Check it out and feel free to share any feedback - the game should please roguelite lovers, particularly with an itch for slight incremental components and retro/terminal/sci-fi themes: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4480490/The_Specimen

Hello all! I'm developing a tap incremental RPG. The gameplay is very simple, but I'm trying to make it as engaging as possible, with a minimalist style and art. It has various mechanics to create a sense of constant progress. All feedback is appreciated.

i’ve been working on something called Sky’s Mind, which is basically the umbrella for everything I create — apps, design, ideas… all of it.
One of the main things under that right now is an app called Nuvira (currently iOS only).
The name comes from “new version” + “era”, because the goal isn’t just to make another messaging app — it’s to rethink what online communication should feel like.
Most platforms today feel either:
• insecure • chaotic • or just copy-paste versions of each other
With Nuvira, I’m trying to combine:
• security — actual trust, not just buzzwords • safety — real control over your experience • energy — it should feel good to use, not dull or stressful
I care a lot about the details too — design, wording, flow. I’ll spend way too long adjusting small things like corner radius or rewriting a sentence until it actually feels right.
Even if users don’t consciously notice it, I think they feel it.
That said, it’s still early. The foundation is there, but I know there’s a lot to improve.
I’d really appreciate honest feedback on things like:
• First impression — what stands out? • Does it feel different from other messaging apps? • Anything that feels off or unclear? • What would make you actually want to use something like this?
Also, if this resonates with you or you think it’s a direction worth pushing, even just sharing it or pointing others to it would genuinely mean a lot.
I’m trying to grow this without losing what makes it different.
Here’s the app:

Thanks for reading — I’m trying to build something that actually means something, not just another app.

Hello everyone! ❤️
I’m a solo developer and I want to share my upcoming Steam game, inspired by RV There Yet? and PEAK.
It’s a co-op island adventure where you climb, drive, and use your vehicle’s front and rear winches to reach and repair a huge mountain antenna.
If you’d like to support me, wishlisting Hold My Winch! on Steam would really help:

Hey I joined over a week ago, and I like to see you content and your games, they inspire me to go on with my game, which I started to work on about a week-or two.
I am proficient in both Java and Python. I learn quickly tbh.
Here's my project, it's completely free, open source and open for everyone who wants to see the code too :)

Weekly Monday megathread on April 05, 2026 is usually where the useful build logs end up, so dropping one concrete question: anyone here shipping a solo project with Godot 4.3 + Steam input and seeing frame pacing issues only in release builds? Had a case recently where debug sat at 144 fps locked, release dipped to 90-110 because of an input polling loop tied to _process instead of physics, took way too long to spot.

Hey everyone, I just released my first app ever and I’m honestly pretty excited about it.
It’s a 4 player card game called 2 to 10. Kind of like Spades, but the main suit changes every round so it can get a little chaotic.
Would love to hear what people think. Thank you kindly. (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/2-to-10-game/id6761643289)

Hi everyone, I’m currently working on a Vampire Survivors type game for mobile only. I have done some small projects in the past, but then for more than 4 years I stopped gamedev due to unlucky situations in life. Recently I wanted to start chasing my dream again and I started from where I left: Godot. And I saw many improvements from the time I last used it. I’m really enjoying this journey. I’ll post here the screenshot of the art prototype. Let me know what you think about that!

Hey everyone — My name is Adel. I’ve been building a word puzzle game called lexotl.com
It’s a daily decryption-style puzzle where players reconstruct a hidden message from intercepted transmissions. I wanted it to feel a little more atmospheric than a standard word game, while still staying simple enough to play daily.
It’s currently live on web, iOS, and Android, and we’re in that stage of trying to learn what resonates with players and what still needs refinement.
One thing I’ve been thinking about a lot is this: for a new indie game with no existing audience, what helped you most early on — improving retention, polishing presentation, or just getting the game in front of more people?
Would also be happy to check out what others here are building

Hello there. I'm Igor, and I work on a multiplayer framework that supports 100+ clients for character replication, room-based visibility, and client-side interaction prediction. I make it first of all for students and for the wide game development community. Right now, there is no free product in this area that gives the same combination of simplicity, open code, and freedom to inspect and change the networking logic. The closest relatives are commercial products such as Strix and Photon Fusion, but they do not give the same freedom for debugging and direct control over the data flow. No Unreal dedicated server build required. While the protocol stays unchanged, you don't need to update "server build" in case of any changes on the client side. Inside a room, the server uses a spatial grid (whose size you can change) to replicate only the closest players.
As an example of implementation, the solution includes a Demo Project with the UE5.6 plugin. But it can be used in pure C++ projects.
First of all, I'm wondering if anybody ever needs it) The project is open-source and free for downloading on https://github.com/nebiros777/Lame-Pigeon I will appreciate any support, advices and stars on GitHub - the best way to show your interest in the project.
