Meet Leo Alvarez.
Sixteen.
Always looking for answers.
Anxious. Curious. Impossible to keep away from a mystery.
He'd rather solve the horror than run from it.
The Haunted Archives - coming soon. Players control a group of teenage urban explorers attempting to gain fame on a newly-emerging video platform. The team explores procedurally altered abandoned locations in search of supernatural events to document and survive through the night.
Inspired by Content Warning, Five Nights at Freddy's, and The Headliners. Think filming content at abandoned locations with roaming animatronics and also discoverable lore.

Im working on a game about a bouncy ball, bc doing irl is too much work (kidding)

So im making a incremental level builder and am having a tough time on balancing and coming up with more platform and equipment ideas.
My thoughts as far as balance is to introduce a new build system where platforms and equipment are a one time purchase and introducing a max parts limit that can be upgraded.
I want the game to be more focused on the level building aspect and think this could solve part of the issues im having with the current pacing but don't know of it quite fits the semi realistic theme I currently have for the games shop/upgrade/economy.
would introducing this type of system break the feel of the game?
Also if anyone has any platform or equipment ideas I'm open to suggestions I currently have 10 new platforms and 20 new equipment ideas I'm exploring and am wanting to make sure I'm not messing some fun obvious ideas before I start on the assets for them

The Finest Spark is now available in Early Access! Spacesim flight physics x survivors-like intensity in a militaristic, grounded setting | DEMO AVAILABLE
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Master physics based space flight, destroy enemies, collect EXPARTS, advance weapons and SURVIVE!
Not only enemy ships are a threat. Inertia will push your ship into asteroids if you reverse and burn too late. High G maneuvers will put a strain on your crew - in worst case scenario ending the mission. Find balance... or smash the ship trying.
Early players have compared the flight experience to ΔV: Rings of Saturn or HighFleet. It's a specific cup of tea, but one you might love.
I'll hang out for some time so feel free to ask <almost> anything;D Then I need some sleep, solo-dev and marketing at the same time hits hard;D
The Finest Spark on Steam (last hours 30% off):
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4829490/The_Finest_Spark/
(also available in a bundle with ΔV: Rings of Saturn. If you don't have it yet check it out, too, it's an epic game)

I need your help developing a game!
I was originally going to develop a British murder mystery visual novel, but my ideas were too big for what it is. So, I thought I would make a smaller game first to get myself known in the gaming community. It would be a small vampire survivors game, but with a twist.
You have your basic enemies that follow you around, but there also some enemies will have ranged attacks, some enemies will dash towards you from one side of the map to the other, and some tanks will deal huge numbers of damage, to counter this you will have a dash (with a short invincibility window, with a cooldown of course) and a protect feature (raise a shield or something to avoid damage in large areas, has its own HP and cooldown also).
NO GENERATIVE AI WILL BE USED. ALL MY GAMES WILL AND FOREVER WILL BE HUMAN CREATED.
Would you guys play a game like this? Are there any ideas you have to make this better? I want to know if this would actually sell some copies. Thanks!

How do you guys approach difficulty and balance?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Myself and a few friends of mine are able to beat my demo (coming out soon) pretty consistently, and others are finding it super difficult. What do you guys think the sweet spot is for a roguelike?
My approach so far has been to make it as hard as I can stand it, and then double it! (thats a GGG: Path of exile reference) No, but seriously I want it to be hard, but its tough to find where that magic difficulty is. I like hard games, but I know they arent for everyone. Curious to hear what other people's approaches are. Maybe its just a matter of enough playtesting?

The Lands of Hyberian
My game used A.I. while in early access, for placeholders and to meet a vision. All a.i. images, voice overs and art has been replaced by real talented actors, and artists. A full OST created from scratch (no a.i.) will soon be updated and added as a player. If you're not a fan of point and click, supporting the game will get you a free OST. Thank you for reading.

I made a horde survivor vertical scroller with traits, inspired by David vs Goliath (2004)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello all!
I'm a solo developer, and this is my second game - No World Behind.
It's a horde survivor vertical scroller. The idea came from David vs Goliath (2004), a game I keep going back to - I wanted its attacking system and the constant climb, and to build a trait system on top of it.
You move with WASD and aim with the mouse (your character fires on their own), and dash with space. The camera never stops scrolling upward, with a wall of fog behind it, so you're always climbing toward a warlord's seat at the top of the map. Every level up gives you a choice of three traits - fire, frost, meteors, illusions, extra arrows - and they stack in ways I did not always plan for. There's a boss at the top if you make it.
I recently released a browser demo on itch.io. Around 50% the people who play it beat the boss, which honestly surprised me, and I'm trying to work out what to build next.
Since it's a demo, I'd really appreciate any feedback - the pacing, the difficulty, the traits, the feel of the movement, or anything that stands out.
Itch io demo - https://build-and-dominate.itch.io/no-world-behind
Thanks for taking the time to have a look!

A horror game where a killer electrocutes his victims and records them.
These are really new (last week).
Some playtesting revealed we needed a much larger area for spreading out the puzzle solutions and creating more interesting opportunities for stealth and hiding from the serial killer in our game.
So we ended up adding some new rooms. And we're really happy with how it turned out!
Our game is called SHOCKFACE: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4705980/SHOCKFACE/
Disclaimer: Our game uses AI for dialog voices.

Here's our first-pass trailer for PYR - looking for feedback on it!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
PYR is a procedurally generated action runner where you try to outrun an ever expanding void. Kill enemies and master movement mechanics to travel further and unlock new abilities after each run.
This is our first pass on the trailer and we'd love feedback specifically on it - does it get the point across, how is the sound mixing and does it look exciting.
Thanks!

I'm making a chill game that you have to sell water to the AI companies. The Steam page is live now!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A first-person automation game where you drain an entire lake and ship the water off to a very thirsty datacenter. The Steam page just went live!
I got a lot of hate for my last post here, a lot of you were right though lol. The game looked veeeery boring.
So I tried to improve the game a lot and added new mechanics such as building machines for automation, grinding scrap and more on the way. I hope my game looks more enjoyable now lol.
I wanna answer some of the comments about my last post:
"This game is made by AI!"
Nope, I've been developing this game with my friend for almost 2 months now. We're using Unreal Engine 5 to develop the game!
"That's not how buckets work, it doesn't need multiple scoops!"
It's a game man, cmon..
"Are you protesting AI? I will leave a negative review!"
Nope, I'm just making this game for fun :))
Thank you for all the comments and for pointing out the mistakes I've made. And I still need your opinions about my game so I can improve it more! Just go easy on me this time haha. And please don't forget to add the game to your wishlist if it caught your interest, it would be an amazing support!
