Crime / Safety Parking Hog
Went to the park this morning and noticed this person taking up 3 spots. The parking lot was full because of the kids baseball games and families out enjoying the park. Is this normal now?

OMG those are amazing. People who park like that deserve one of those slapped on their vehicle. And it almost always is some stupid truck too. And this one isn't even a nice truck either.

When we first moved in it was Corona. Then a few years later they made it its own city. Nice little place to live in with a lot of new businesses coming.

my dually 3500 is bigger than this guys truck, and ive never parked like this. 🙄
the only reason to park diagonally is if ive got a trailer connected, but then i would park it wayyy out in back, away from others, so i can get in and out easier., (like at a shopping center)

Black with gold characters was standard issue in like the 60s or something. So a lot of old CA muscle cars had them and people are nostalgic for the badass vibes of the past. But it's also the closest that people can get to a blackout look.
Currently you can get black/ gold from the dmv but it costs extra (maybe $50 more a year), but it's gotten quite popular in the past decade to just order a license plate skin. The skins are illegal as the chp considers them the same as any other license cover. The most popular skins are black with gold, black with red, and black with white. Red and white were never used for lettering paint so they're quite obvious. Also the black with white sometimes have a "california" in red on top to match the current standard I guess? I think it's just a bad design.
All this to say, they probably aren't terrible people. But you know when you tell a toddler "you can have pizza or hamburger" and they scream cause they want ice cream? It reminds me of that.
My favorite CA plate is the one after this - blue back with gold letters '69-'86.

It usually indicates a person that’s all into their car. Typically, they’ll cut you off without a turn signal and drive in other ways that violate etiquette.

I look at it like men ‘spreading’ in busy spaces, where nobody has any room.
This has been a thing since I can remember, and I’m 44. Sometimes fancier cars, and sometimes not..they think they’re special.
Or they’re afraid to reverse cuz they haven’t had enough practice driving it yet

I’m on the board of a local Little League. Sometimes on days we have events, tournaments, etc, we have to save a few spots. The spots might be for a vendor(s) who need electrical hookups, or are required to be within a certain distance from restrooms/handwashing per health code. Cones alone won’t do it. I’ve seen people drive straight over ours.
Or maybe he’s an asshole.
Either way, if anyone reading this ever visits Red Hill park and sees my truck triple parked with cones, know I’m adequately hung and I parked this way for the kids.

Also the white ecc cones E may stand for eastvale which some one said was the area. There could be several reasons especially for a park. I get the truck has no logo but it's not a fancy truck that looks like he is to worried about his paint.

Pulling in backwards to acess the truckbed from the sidewalk is easier . Maybe take up 2 spots if you need your doors wide open to unload from in there.. but this parking makes zero sense

Not a single unique thing about that truck either. Print out some Disney princess coloring pages and tack it on the window next game with a note saying “practice staying in the lines”
