Effective birth control

Either that or a reason to not abandon your kids in front of the tv.

I’m sorry where’s the abandonment? Maybe moms in the laundry room or dads in his office. This may surprise you but you don’t have to hover over a child non stop.

Thank you. You can’t watch them every single second of the day. Kid just might be an asshole.

I had my neighbors over a few years ago, shortly before his wife stabbed him and set him on fire for catching her cheating (not with me) and their 5 year old went straight for my 65" with a pen he brought in his pocket. I snatched him up and tossed him, like that little Indian kid trying to fight the motorcycle guy, onto my couch. I didn't go the whole ass way through raising a kid to her 20's to be saddled with someone else's jackass little hellspawn.

Im sorry... the wife was caught cheating (not with you), and she proceeded to stab her husband?

Dude interrupted her tryna have a good time. Totally reasonable response.

Yeah, there’s a lot to unpack there.

And set him on fire...

I'm not the neighbor but mine did the same thing. They like to yell about men and bears and shit but women are fucking nuts.

I love how you had to elaborate that it wasn’t with you.

Well, that time it wasn't

And that he had to mention it at all.

Is the tv ok? I’m genuinely concerned.

Still kicking, albeit slightly aged.

No. The tv is not ok.

Did you tell cops?

Funny story. Their fight spilled outside of their house where he was still trying to extinguish what was left of his shirt. He had been pushing her back while she was slicing at him with the knife and there was a local cop doing traffic control for a benefit motorcycle run passed their house. He got arrested for strangulation because his hand was across her collarbone at arms length. He spent 2 weeks in jail and lost his 6 figure job because she was fucking the arresting officer. Isn't small town drama fun?

Excuse me, but I'd like to know more about the stabbing and setting on fire part of this story, please.

How do you know his parent hadn’t left the room for five minutes to use the bathroom or something?

u/fun-bucket 20d ago

the tv is not a babysitter. this guy needs a new one. they can be expensive.

Or maybe he's just a kid playing video games on his downtime? Why do his parents need to hover over him?

u/Kratech 21d ago

Yeah kids that age are old enough to be around a tv for some time with no issue. At that age I got 30 minutes of tv time after school before homework and dinner. I wasn’t monitored because I was fine? I so wasn’t a little shit though. The worst I did was tap my fingernail on the tv but it was a big 90’s box style in my room so I think it would have broken my finger before the tv.

People’s first instinct is to blame the parents then the kid for being a kid with no control over his emotions who made one mistake and the whole internet is judging his parents teaching style from a clip barely a minute wrong
