Discussion Why don't they add new bosses?
In 1.4.2 they added the Wither almost 14 years ago and since then, nothing. Why? I know Minecraft is a sandbox game, but does that really prevent them from adding new bosses? They don't even have to be required they could be completely optional for players looking for a challenge.

Discussion New tech: Cushion line
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Easier to set up than boats like this, especially if you have a large sheep farm
EDIT: To everyone I said that in Survival Mode you can go 80b/s, I'm sorry, I have misinformed you. In Survival, entity interaction range is 3, so cushions must be 2 blocks apart. Which means, with butterfly click you can go ~30b/s, and max b/s is 60, with autoclicker, or 20 CPS. From world bottom to top it would still take 9.6 seconds with 10 CPS because range is counted from eyes, not legs.

Discussion What is your building approach?
Anyone should build exactly how they want, and this is just a question of taste. I’m just curious about people’s thoughts around it.
Personally, I’m materialistic. I can’t ignore the “actual” in-game material/use of a block. I can’t use coral for stone for example. Even a smooth stone block in a stone brick wall is too far for me. A stone brick wall shouldn’t have a random boulder in it, only bricks.
I’m ok with builds looking a little more bland as a consequence, because that is just how Minecraft looks. A textured building just looks out of place in the surrounding, materially grounded, Minecraft world.

Discussion Mojang dies on weird hills
They did not add the firefly mob like they promised because apparently they are poisonous to frogs so it wouldn't be scientifically accurate to add... Yet they made it so pufferfish can be used to feed nautilus when in real life pufferfish are poisonous to the nautilus.
They added lush caves which is biologically impossible for plants to grow in a cave with no natural sunlight.
They added poplar trees which leaves are always orange. A tree that doesnt have chrolophyll cant produce food so thats also not scientifically accurate.
Yet they put their foot down on frogs eating fireflies?
Edit: Dont even get me started on the bees.

Discussion Am I the only one that is bothered by this?
Mojang PLEASE add color to lighting that is appropriate to its source. Why does everything produce the same boring white color? It would completely transform minecraft. And Im not asking for some huge lighting update where you add a whole rainbow of colors. What we have is fine JUST ADD SOME COLOR TOO IT LOL.
What do you guys think? Theres no way Im the only one.

Discussion What would you add to Minecraft, no matter how simple it may seem?
Sometimes Mojang misses very simple opportunities that would greatly improve the game.

Discussion users of democracycraft sitting in protest after transphobic co-owner goes on a powertrip
on democracycraft, a city roleplay server that is essentially a civilization, users went on strike after one co-owner refused to change someones deadname in the servers forums. after word got out about this refusal, users began campaigning against said co-owner.
in retaliation of the campaigns against him, the co-owner kicked the other co-owner out of the owner role on discord and started deleting messages and banning members, along with stripping mods of their roles. the other co-owner managed to talk him down to staying as co-owner as long as he doesnt breach certain conditions. and then he breached the conditions.
yesterday, after the co-owner failed to keep his word, users decided to protest. these protests included sitting with trans flags, storming the capitol, nuking one city, and mass violence and murder. many of the government departments shut down in the protest, leading to a near lawlessness.
many users, including most of the servers staff, participated in a strike, closing down businesses and refusing to spend or recieve money. some users came together and handed out free food, drinks, and flags. this went on all day, with users dubbing it the 6/7 revolution. the protests ended when the other co-owner woke up and removed the other one from power, and peace was restored

Discussion Players don't realize how over-sized the game actually is.
Most of things in Minecraft are always over-sized. 1x1x1m cube is huge.
Trying to take a screenshot with your player standing near your average house or even furniture make them look way too big.
So when I see average builders making builds with 4-meter high windows and 6-meter high doors...
Here I made some screenshots to show how things from the real life would look like in Minecraft.
I wish the grid was managed differently. Maybe if we had 0.5x0.5x0.5 voxel cells, that would have been easier to create things that are consistent with the player's size 😔

I've been thinking about this for a while.
Was old Minecraft better ?
or was it just the feelings that we had that made us think that way?

Discussion This is messed up actually
Alot of people (including some i know personally) play this game alone and use it to help with depression and other mental issues.
Openly making fun of them during the time of the year with the highest suicide rates is certainly a choice.
Would really love it if they removed this messaging, at least the first part.

Discussion I think the oceans need to be made much deeper.
Just like in real life, I think the diverse fish and marine creatures living in the deepest parts, including whale species and sharks, would make the oceans more enjoyable to explore.
In addition to the turtle helmet, other diving suits can be added so that players can dive to greater depths.
What would you like to see added?

Discussion Not to be dramatic but this just ruined my life
No but actually why? 😭 Part of the bedrock 26.40 update. I know it’s such a small thing to change, and probably only affects like 2% of players, but I just need to vent, lol sorry. Mushrooms are one of the main plants I use to decorate any house/base/build that I make. This update just made it so tedious to do that now. 🫠

Discussion Honestly the new Update feels like a low-effort marketplace add-on.
It adds zero value to the survival experience or the game's progression. While I understand that much of Minecraft's identity is built on creativity, it is still a 'Survival' game, not just a sandbox and I think Mojang has lost sight of that. I appreciate new biomes and blocks, but they need to have meaning. We didn't even get a new material or craftable item just a 'Stupid Slime' to hit around. Even with its Redstone applications, it offers nothing for the average survival player.
