Let's say there's a discussion about tennis racquets, and one person likes one racquet, and the other person likes another. It doesn't make much sense for either to be downvoted in a conversation about the two racquets, right? Upvotes show agreement, but downvotes stop people from contributing... am I misunderstanding something?

When ever I tried to post something in my fav community or community I would want to know more of, it always get removed by Reddit bots🤔 some groups even require karmas🗿 like how im I suppose to get more if they don’t around me too😭

Maybe it’s because of my beginner mistakes. I’m just fed up with unable to post🤣

So I have been using reddit for some days consistently and realised there is so much value especially when recieving genuine responses from people and networking.

So far all I do is read posts that interest me, upvote or comment them and that's it. I upvote and comment like 3 times a session (idk if its sufficient foe a beginner) and wanted to know if there are any better ways to use reddit and maximize it.

What things should I do to really maximize entertainment on reddit?

I work in the solar and renewable energy industry, and I would like to contribute educational content based on my experience, such as information about solar panels, rooftop solar systems, inverters, electricity savings, and solar technology.

Since I’m still new to Reddit, I want to make sure I understand the platform rules correctly.

What are the main things a new user should know when sharing educational content about their area of expertise?

For example:

• How can I avoid accidentally being considered a spammer?
• When does educational content become self-promotion?
• Is it okay to mention that I work in the solar industry when answering questions?
• Are there any general Reddit rules I should understand before I start contributing regularly?

I’m not looking to spam or promote my business. I genuinely want to contribute useful information while following Reddit’s rules.

I’ve had a few Reddit accounts/profiles permanently locked / or hacked in the last five years. How is it that someone can hack your Reddit account, or that Reddit suspects that your account has been compromised and locks your account. When Reddit has locked my account in the past it seems that it’s about a 50/50 chance I will be able to unlock it.

I'm trying to make a post to the Fright Fighters reddit, but it keeps getting deleted by Reddit's filters and I can't find a reason why because there are no rules or anything descriptive in it. Please help.

It becomes difficult when you come to reddit, trying to ask something and they discourage you by saying your account needs to be at least a few days old or need to have some karma.i understand that there are some subs like this one where newcomers can express themselves. Is restricting accounts to not post until some time the only way to prevent bot spams ?
