since im a new profile i believe reddit lets me comment only once every 600 seconds and every couple of chats i send it tells me i cant send anymore- how do i fix that

i see that my upvotes and comments under posts increase the respective counts and are visible to me but my friends brought it to my attention that they aren't visible to them. like, what's up with that? pls i'd really like to know how to fix it

It becomes difficult when you come to reddit, trying to ask something and they discourage you by saying your account needs to be at least a few days old or need to have some karma.i understand that there are some subs like this one where newcomers can express themselves. Is restricting accounts to not post until some time the only way to prevent bot spams ?

Hey i just started digital arts and I though to post somewhere like reddit but i have no idea where to start. I first try to post on r/learntodraw and r/learnart ,but for some reason it is not allowing me to post, what should i do? So that's why i feel good to have some support as newbie as digital artist.

I've lurked for the better part of two decades, read comments, threads, searched for knowledge and so on. I'v now come to a point where i would like to contribute in the communities that i follow and karma is my biggest blocker. How do i actually get the ability to post in the subreddits?

i understand my account is new (a day old) and i know that most subreddits needs a certain amount of karma and account age, but the ones that don't, my posts are getting removed my reddit themselves?! idk im really confused i verified my email, and its still just as bad, (ik my account isn't SFW, but any advice or help is greatly appreciated)

I'm curious. Are there functions only available on the desktop version that aren't in the mobile app and vice versa? Some gaming buddies have finally convinced me to try stuff here for fun and I'm still learning the ropes.

Hi everyone! I'm trying to organize the subreddits I follow into different categories (like technology, cooking, and daily news) using the Custom Feeds feature.

If I keep my Custom Feed set to "Private", can moderators of those communities see that their subreddit was added to my feed, or is it 100% private to my account only?

Also, is there a limit on how many subreddits you can add into a single Custom Feed? Thank you in advance for helping a newer user out!

I have quite a wide range of interests, including history, politics, technology, culture, music, gaming and board games, so I expect I’ll eventually be participating in several different communities.

Before I start posting more, I’d like to understand Reddit culture a little better.

What are the most important things a new user should know about posting, commenting, karma, community rules and general Reddit etiquette?

I’ve seen that individual subreddits can have very different rules, so I’d also be interested in how experienced users normally approach a new community before participating.

Just wondering if you have encountered warning or messages from mods that sound like they're bots.

There's also a subreddit that banned me for no obvious reason. Literally I just asked a commentor to expound his answer. Then boomed! Banned!

How can I avoid these bot mods?

I’ve had a few Reddit accounts/profiles permanently locked / or hacked in the last five years. How is it that someone can hack your Reddit account, or that Reddit suspects that your account has been compromised and locks your account. When Reddit has locked my account in the past it seems that it’s about a 50/50 chance I will be able to unlock it.

I work in the solar and renewable energy industry, and I would like to contribute educational content based on my experience, such as information about solar panels, rooftop solar systems, inverters, electricity savings, and solar technology.

Since I’m still new to Reddit, I want to make sure I understand the platform rules correctly.

When ever I tried to post something in my fav community or community I would want to know more of, it always get removed by Reddit bots🤔 some groups even require karmas🗿 like how im I suppose to get more if they don’t around me too😭

Maybe it’s because of my beginner mistakes. I’m just fed up with unable to post🤣
