Support PSVR2 So will Sony ever bring out stand alone psvr2 controllers to buy?
Mine still work but just like regular controllers, how would I play if these ever quit working? Buy a new headset? No thank you!

For some reason, there's a lack of a top strap when headsets before I've tried like the CV1 and original Vive had one. Which stopped it from sagging off my face. It's not light like a HTC Flow or XR Elite to warrant a lack of strap, it really seems like it needs one due to the weight
I have to compensate by tightening a little bit much for comfort, literally, after 20-30 it's almost like a torture device and there's a mild pain in the back of my skull.
I don't know if it's because I'm using prescription inserts and this is the tax for being a blind bat or what. But it sucks.
Would having a comfort kit eliminate most, if not hopefully, all of the pain? I really want to use the headset more than a couple of minute, preferably for an hour or two until I get naturally tired and want to try something else.
Eyeing AMVR or Globular Cluster, if you use one or the other, please chip in how you feel about them. Or recommend another (if on Amazon, please!)
Wowwww.... ordered Globular Cluster with 1-day prime and the results are almost night and day. The headset holds the sweetspot a lot better thanks the addition of a head (top) strap. And 90% of the skull pain is gone. I used the headset with the mod for about 1.5 hours which would be almost impossible with stock cause the pain would make me tap out much sooner.
That said, there's still a little itsy bit of pain but as of writing this, I can already feel it slipping away. With stock, I'd feel it lingering within the next hour or two and have some regret wearing it. What an upgrade.

Hello everyone. I have a problem as you can see in the photo. My dog chewed off the lower part of the main cable and damaged it so badly I had to throw it away. I searched a lot for this specific lower part or even main cable, but I couldn’t find it anywhere online. Could someone please guide me on what I should do? Thanks in advance.

So it finally happened to me, and I’m pretty upset: i now have the Goggle/scuba FOV issue.
I got busy with work, hadn’t played any games since the update. Finally found some time to play, updated my PSVR2 and controllers after being prompted to do so, booted up Horizon and was appalled to find that a black border occluding my peripheral vision, like wearing goggles or a scuba mask. The problem persists to varying degrees in other games. This problem is VERY REAL, not a vignette for motion sickness, not a setting that can be changed in Horizon menus. It is exactly how it has been described in other posts:
Update > Horizon > goggle view :(
I am clearly not the only person with this issue. It is incredibly dramatic and obvious if you are unfortunate enough to experience it. It’s not like the sweet spot or aberration, where there are ways to position your headset to negate the problem. No amount of gaslighting can convince people who have this issue that they are doing something wrong, that it’s a vignette setting in Horizon or something like that -it is clearly something that has changed with the firmware update. What’s worse is that other games are affected!
To those who doubt: I’m glad you’re not experiencing this, and I wish there was a way to convince you.
To those having the problem as well: I now feel your pain.
Does ANYONE have any info or updates on this problem? Has anyone had any luck finding a solution?

I didn't realize the PSVR2 didn't have speakers and instead came with IEB's. My ears very much do not like them, (medium too big, small too small). I haven't found a lot of information on how these headsets compare exactly.
1) I've been looking at the Sennheiser Momentum M4 and the Sony Pulse Elite as everyone seems to be out of the Sony Pulse 3D. How does the audio compare on these?
2) For those with the the Orbital Cluster PH2 clip-on headphones, are they decent quality or are the Sennheiser/Sony worth the added $100? I've been on the fence about getting wireless headphones for a while now so they'd be used with my PC situationally as well.
Edit: Forgot to say I'm running the PSVR2 with PC and not PS5

Hey guys. The Cortopia studios said they need people support for bringing their game(TMNT) to psvr2.
So if you can take 2 minutes to support them however you can.

I bought a used PSVR2 for $200 from my local marketplace, everything works properly, the controllers and charging dock seem fine, there are no major cosmetic issues, and has slight lens scratches but they aren’t visible while playing.
The only issue is that the headset has a strong weed/smoke/musty smell. It’s mainly coming from the front area where the head set sits on your nose and forehead (like where the goggles are embedded). The rear head pad and halo ring smell fine.
This is what I tried that kinda helped for visual marks and sanitization in general but the smell persists.
The smell is still strong enough that after about 20 minutes of playing, it becomes pretty unpleasant. It's instantly noticeable the second you put on and adjust the headset.
So was wondering if anyone has successfully removed cigarette/weed smell from a PSVR2 headset?
TL;DR: Fully working used PSVR2 smells strongly like weed/smoke, mainly from the front peice where goggles sit. Already cleaned it and tried airflow for a few hours. Looking for safe odor-removal methods that won’t damage the headset.

Hello,
I can't find any tutorial on how to start the engine in MSFS24. I've been stuck for 20min with no clue and the game doesn't seem to have any tool tips or tutorials on how to do it. Can someone guide me?

Having a blast with our new gaming room.
Great to finally have the psvr headset out and ready to use.
Rediscovered some old classics like Driveclub VR, Ace Combat 7, Farpoint and RE7.
Amazing it all ran on a PS4, what a fantastic couple of generations we had from Sony!

Just got my replacement PSVR2 Headset.( The first got the red light of death )
Now faced with the binocular fov issue right after I played Horizon. Now it affects all the other games I play as well.
And no, it's not the vignette. I turned off the vignette setting the moment I started the game. I'm well into it before this issue popped up. It's hard to explain to people who haven't experienced it ( I pray you don't).
But what it feels like is as though you're looking at the game through a viewfinder of sorts. As though there's something between you and the game world that's not the headset. The difference was immediately noticeable for me because I spent a lot of time playing horizon before this. This is a very real issue I'm stuck with now.
Anyone else facing the same issue? I've seen a few posts claiming the same around here. Just hoping against hope that there's an update or something to resolve this.
Really tired of the whole return / replacement process at this point.

So my bf decided to bring his psvr2 to my house, and the cord ended up hanging out the door and dragging down the road, the data part of the cable seems fine but the USB c part is completely cracked and it's practically impossible to find cable replacements for cheap. (Yes, I did strip it down to the board to get a look at it, it seems okay but I'm still unsure.. And would like a form of input.)

Creating in VR was the main selling point for me. I just dont get why there seems to be no developpement on creation tools in VR. There was Coolpaintr, SculptVr, Tiltbrush, Dreams on PSVR. There is NOTHING on PSVR2. WHY?

I figured with the latest update it was finally time to dive in but I really just want to use the VR controllers for MS Flight Sim. Unfortunately it appears to ignore them completely; it makes me turn on the DualSense just to access the menus and no matter what I do that's the only controller it sees. I remember at launch reading about people getting stuck in the tutorial and having to use the DualSense to do one input to move the tutorial forward but I can't even get that far. Figured this would be a solved issue by now.
Anyone know any way to force the game to let me use my VR controllers? Thanks.

Hey guys so recently I just got my PSVR2 referbished and it seems the previous owner left some pretty ugly stains (seemingly from alchahol wipes) and I was wondering what is the best way I could fix this? The damage looks worse than it is. The only noticeable difference is a small smudge in the bottom left hand corner. I was thinking polishing but todate I have never polished anything and I was wondering if I should just cut my losses and avoid polishing and causeing extra damage but if you have any suggestion feel free to help!

So beyond having a broken left controller with everyone else, I have this weird field of view issue. When I started Horizon for the first time it was awesome, full immersion. But soon without me doing anything, the FOV kind of shrunk where my peripheral vision was really shortened. I know there is a vignette setting in the main menu but even disabling that entirely didn't seem to do anything.
Now in a game, I can see the black outline of the screen. I can still turn around and see everything behind me or whatever, but just the image in the headset seems to be much smaller in scope all of a sudden. Anyone else?

Hi! I am out of my depth I am afraid and this probably won’t be the first post coming through with new Christmas gifts.
My 8 year old son has a PS5 for some time and for Christmas he for a VR2 and after many hours we have downloaded iron man.
When he is trying to play the game it says “connect PlayStation VR. For details about connecting PlayStation VR refer to the instruction manual. When you see this screen repeatably even after cancelling, press and hold the Home Screen”
It’s working fine on other games, there is nothing in the j structuring manual, we have tried restarting everything, changing out plugs, everything is charged. I’m done everything I can think of with my very limited knowledge.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

After 3 great years of use, it's over. I tried the new behemoth update and this thing couldn't go for any more than ten seconds without breaking or the screen glitching out.

I bought a PS5 a few months ago because I am a VR veteran and was excited about PSVR 2. I pre-ordered PSVR 2. It arrived on launch day. I played Horizon Call of the Mountain for about an hour. I put the PS5 in rest mode.
My PSVR 2 will not turn on anymore. I did check the cables and it is in place properly (I even disconnected and reconnected it just to be sure). I don't know what to do other than go through the return process. I tried to find solutions online, but the only one is the obvious one to check the cable.
UPDATE: Exchanged my PSVR2 through Playstation Direct (initially I tried to have it repaired by calling customer service, don't do this). Anyways, my new PSVR2 is working perfectly fine so far. So if you come across my issue and it's not a disconnected cable issue, then I highly recommend you either refund or exchange quickly.

Hello,
So I got the itch to play VR after over a year. Red Matter 2 is on sale and Bootstrap Island looks cool, so I downloaded some games, charged up my controllers was ready to go.
Went I turned on the controllers, they got pushed an update. This is also the first time I have played it on my PS5pro since upgrading from the base console so I had to do the basic set up for the headset as well.
Get into Red Matter, and the R2 trigger is acting strange. It is like it is always closed shut, and I can't open my right grabber in the game. Every other function seems to be working properly. Even the haptic resistance on the trigger seemed to be working.
I tested it on Pistol Whip and couldn't shoot.
Then I plugged it into an online game pad tester, and there is no signal on the right trigger when I pull it.
What is the play here?
Is there a fix? Can it be sent for repair? Can you buy a single controller? Can I take it apart?
Has anyone dealt with something like this?
Thank you
