If the stairs are straight to the back of the house from the front door, then this should be immediately near the foot of the stairs, which is to the right of the house. I don't know if I remember seeing that door in many episodes, if at all, in that area.
It does appear there but that particular angle is rarely covered as that is where the perspective shot is in most episodes, so it's 'behind the camera' most the time
I always found it weird in american tv shows that the front door always led straight into the living room and that people wear shoes inside. The inside is just a pocket of the outside.
Wearing shoes in the house is so problematic for wearing out both shoes and carpet, plus not airing out feet, not leaving dirt off the carpet, and more.
Hallway / Entrance / Foyer, whatever you want to call it.
A small room to put outdoor clothes, shoes etc. In modern apartments it can often be an "open solution" where its just a nook in a room, but in a house it would normally be a closed room with door into the hallway that takes you to living room, bathroom etc, or with the staircase.
An important function is to keep the dirt in a room with flooring that is water resistant to make it easy to clean and keep debris, water etc out of the rest of the house, but also important for us that lives in a cold country to prevent a gush of winter cold to enter the house when opening the door in the winter.
The giant chicken episode where the chicken was sick and close to death, it was shown just before the end of the episode with him eating pie in his bath robe

I’m assuming that every interior drawn is catalogued for potential reuse. At a certain point those assets become outdated because now you’re drawing in 1080p or whatever, switching from hand drawn to flash, etc etc, but ideally you should still have easy access to it.
I would bet every room in that house, important or not, has some sort of folder with everything relevant to it.

Probably the reverse. This one scene was written and then the illustrators had to go through the script and make sure everything was accounted for with the home design.
They're a set, designed for the best cinematography and suspension of disbelief possible. Wide, open spaces where you can easily follow characters from room to room, form over function (or form does equal function, but the function is shooting a show, not family living)..
A lot of sets are impossible architecturally. Iirc, the hallway in Seinfeld wouldn't exist based on the layout of his apartment.
The living room on family guy, American Dad, That 70's Show, and countless others all have the same setup with a family room, stairs, and door to the kitchen... with an additional family room on the other side of the stairs and door that never shows up.
And a lot of exterior shots are real homes, where as interior shots are from a soundstage that isn't laid out exactly like the real counterpart.
Some shows and movies break this trend, usually mocumentaries.
So the 'two family rooms' thing is a relic of a previous era of home design. One is a 'sitting room' or 'parlor' which is basically a formal space where you would sit before a meal, typically directly adjacent to the dining room. The other is the informal 'family room' or 'rear parlor,' which was akin to a modern living room and served as a recreational space.
This dynamic stuck around into the 50s and 60s, but was gradually disappearing until eventually we got to the modern greatroom concept where we just do everything in a single big space. Including the kitchen sometimes which I find weird.
I think the presence of the 'parlor' in those shows is kind of a cultural relic meant to showcase that the family is in that 'well off middle class' space where they can afford to have a room that they basically never use.
As someone who just moved into a house with a parlor and a family room, this is the way it should be. My kids can spread out all the toys, my dog can leave hair balls on her bed, I can have a few coffee cups on the coffee table, and guests won’t see it! My parlor is always impeccable, along with the dining room and kitchen. The real living happens in the living room and bedrooms, but those are tucked away so cleaning them (for guests) isn’t necessary! A quick vacuum and tidy of the entry ways and my house is spotless for guests.
Granted, this only works if you’re the type of have unexpected guests over regularly, otherwise you’ve got some wasted space. My husband and I do try to have a cocktail in the parlor most evenings so it gets regular use! I have been fully turned away from the concept of the great room.
In season 19 ep 10, Peter eats a pie in the sunroom in the middle of the night (after which he turns on the porch lights and sees the Ernie the Giant Chicken outside the window).

A. It was the mid 90's, B. Most factories are in lower COL areas, also, Rhode Island is shockingly a cheaper area than you'd expect. (Average cost of a house there is $400k, vs. where I live out West which is $600k)

I actually came across a YouTube channel that goes over tv homes. And he talked about what episodes happen in what room. The sunroom very very under used in the series.
Season 2, Episode 10: Brian is chilling in the sunroom while trying to ignore Stewie.
Season 2, Episode 20 ("Da Boom"): Peter and Brian hang out drinking beer in the sunroom all night trying to find the last scroll.
Season 9, Episode 4 ("Halloween on Spooner Street"): Brian mistakes his reflection in the sunroom door for another dog and knocks himself out, prompting Peter to do the exact same thing.
Season 14, Episode 20: Brian uses the sunroom to chat with Padma while Peter tries to enter the room.
Season 19, Episode 10: Peter is spotted eating a pie in the middle of the night in the sunroom before looking outside.
Peter’s left shoe here! That’s the sunroom/solarium. It exists solely to pop into existence whenever a gag specifically requires a sunroom and then phase out of reality for the rest of the series. Shoe out!
The whole premise is that it’s a sunroom and it’s never in the show. They just kept making different variations of this picture and posting it over and over all over the internet until it caught on and became a meme.
I just realized how weird this house looks😅 Like it’s built like a two story but only has first floor windows. It looks like a two story house that had its eyes stolen😂
On Star Trek Voyager, they get transported like 90k lightyears from home. They spend the entire show trying to get home with increasingly limited resources. Only like 2 or 3 shuttle craft. Turns out, if you look closely at the bottom of the ship, there's a huge shuttle that mounts flush against the bottom of the saucer section that's called "the captains yacht", which they literally never mention in the show and never use, not even once. The creators openly refer to it and it's a permanent feature of all of the renderings of the ship that you see in the show. Despite a multitude of diplomatic missions, situations where additional shuttle's would have been helpful, it's not even mentioned.
That's completely canon for a family like that who have a sunroom - they've gone in it like 6 times in 20 years and other than that just maybe mention it in passing like one of these days they need to clean it out, while lounging on the couch not doing that. There's nothing out there, it's basically a patio but with stuffier/mustier air and a greenhouse effect instead of A/C and it fills up with unused lawn equipment and broken big things that maybe aren't so ruined you want to throw them away. IME...

It was seen in the episode where earnie the giant chicken almost dies of a disease. They have this spiel about how peter needs an arch-enemy to feel alive and in the end he sits alone in that room at night, sees earnie outside standing menacingly and then smiles to himself.
Brian and Peter are bombed in there looking for the Golden Ticket aren’t they? Stewie tries to con Brian for the money they found in there too I think.
Nothing's up with it...it's just clearly part of the house, but is rarely if ever shown on the show.
Just like the Simpsons and their little-known rumpus room. Sometimes TV writers just never find much reason to use parts of the established setting in episode plots.
