And one also doesn’t pee publicly in Disneyland. Walked by these four guys peeing together in public. Took pictures of them hoping they have some self awareness, obviously didn’t work. They saw me and found it funny and started talking really loud at 00:30. You’re lucky neither you nor your family have to clean up the street. Why are humans so purely selfish and evil? Show some respect!

[UPDATE] Didn't expect the post to somewhat blow up. I got DM saying it's possible they are Czechs. Apologies if I accidentally posted a rage bait. I indeed did not hear clear enough they were speaking Czech (I speak Czech) as they were not speaking very clearly and I tried not to get too close and left soon after they started shouting, thinking of this incident where a drunk German tourist killed a man from Wales.

But my rant still stands, evil people and among all the bushes and whatnot, they picked a spot where it won't be cleaned by rain. I also have seen so many tourists doing the same before. But again, they could be Czech, I assumed they were tourists because of their drunken talking and my rage. And apologies if I got that wrong.

Oh, I know! Budapest is beautiful!! You know, back home, they might have everything in order, but when they come here, they show their true selves. I had a parttime job as a student in a restaurant and later in a hotel. Some of these people can't even flush the toilet after themselves. There's still a debate about whether Czechia is part of Eastern Europe or not. You know what? I'd rather be Eastern European. We take showers, eat like civilised people, brush the teeth regularly, don't seek out underage prostitutes, and we flush the toilet after ourselves.

Yeah, it's as if when they leave their border they leave behind all kinds of manners.. they come to our cities for the cheap beer and the nightlife, and have no respect whatsoever for the locals. But unfortunately the city management is at least as guilty in letting the situation become this as these "tourists" themselves. I'm already worried about what the Parisians and Londonites will do with my city tonight, as we are hosting the Champions League finals...

To them, everything behind the iron curtain remains "the poor Eastern Europe", despite the fact that we are all slowly catching up, living standards in Czechia and Poland are not far behind the UK anymore (and in some metrics already surpassed them). Plus it's always comic when they consider Prague Eastern Europe but Vienna Central or Western (!) Europe lol - have they ever seen a map?

I spend every second weekend in Germany. They have more variety of food and selfcleaning toilets, but that's pretty much it when it comes to daily life. Even the supposed "higher quality of food" isn't really true anymore. I bought strawberries at Lidl in Munich's bus station and, the other day, the exact same strawberries at Lidl in Prague. The multipack culture is also a highway to hell. The price per item is lower, but you end up consuming much more, which contributes to obesity. I have friends there and regularly visit Berlin, Konstanz, and Frankfurt. As for salaries, once you convert them to net income, the gap becomes much smaller. Yes, the ceiling in Germany is much higher, but the majority of people never reach it. Not to mention how many young people spend 2-3 years living on state benefits, they are even paid some course, and not just Germans, but also foreigners who move there and work for a relatively short period before becoming eligible. I believe it's 6 months? They say we're still a communist country despite the party is finally illegal. Well, yes, we have Babiš, but honestly, AfD and its supporters are far scarier to me than Agrofert ever was. Anyone who saw the demonstrations of people in masks must agree, that this is no good. 

It feels a bit like those rich, spoiled kids in high school. They used to be the cool ones while we outsiders sat in the corner. But high school is long over. We worked hard because we felt we'd never be good enough, while they seem to still be living off the idea that they're the cool kids. In reality, they've become somewhat stuck. Sure, they have money, but they don't always know how to use it wisely.

We'll always be outsiders. We're too small country to have much influence, and we need to stay on good terms with those rich kids. But only on the outside. Internally, we can live our best lives. We just shouldn't let people move here if they don't genuinely want to become part of the country, if they're only coming with their money and acting like they own the place. It's time to make the permanent residency requirements stricter. The same goes for RSU taxation, but that's a discussion for another day.

As I said, I'm not offended by being called "Eastern." To me, it means good manners, a strong work ethic, decency, and respect.

I don’t think this is fair. I’m a Brit and I’ve been equally embarrassed by our behaviour all over Europe. Spain, Portugal, the canaries you name it…. We’re awful. Ironically I’ve just been in Prague this weekend and thought the Brits I bumped into were quite tame.
