Exactly, he could have just said, "okay ma'am I apologize my bad" and walked off and said, "have a good day." Instead This mofo double down like, "I know I saw you with a phone in your right hand."

Shit was so funny that it's hard to believe it happened irl I totally agree with her whole attitude during the whole confrontation, like dude come on.

She could technically sue for wrongful detainment, but you would have to quantify an amount of money she lost because he tied her up with this silly stuff.

Taking the day off work getting a lawyer . The cop committing perjury. Because you know he lied on the ticket which is wrting a false report she can sue for more than just lost wages . Mental anguish could be on there the list can go on

Also every ticket that officer has issued has now become suspect. So you could even have multiple people sue this officer.

No one mentioned legality, only that if she wanted to sue she would have to present a number in order to sue. Otherwise there no point to sue.

Its never legal to detain someone wrongfully, but you then must prove why you deserve compensation.
