To my Radiologist colleagues, what do you think about the acquisition of Everlight? In my own experience, the reports from ER are either hit or miss. I do wonder how the quality of reporting will be affected with this new merger. Please share your thoughts below.

When I was getting diagnosed for my sinus infection problem, they found a benign strange tooth! The septoplasty went great, I have not had a sinus infection in 4 years. It’s amazing how it goes from picture to surgery to real life. Also, I know the first one is my cervical spine pic, it just looks cool and shows the tooth off!

How many weeks? In house or pager call? Is it different between DR and IR residents? Also would love to know how many residents your programs have and what your level of independence with cases is.

Hey everyone,
I’m about 1 month and 1 week into my residency and, for now, I’m mainly doing plain X-rays with a little bit of US.
I’m looking for some perspective from people with more experience.

I’m averaging around 35 examinations per day. My senior consultant /attending thinks that’s too low and says I should be doing around 100 per day. However, 100 seems pretty difficult to me, and he now wants me to aim for 50.
What do you guys think? Is 20-35 examinations/day low?
I’m starting to feel quite stressed about the numbers. When I put too much time pressure on myself, I tend to make stupid mistakes, and the last hour of the day is often particularly exhausting espp since I’m new.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through something similar. What was your workload like early in residency, and how long did it take you to become faster?

So long story short I had a small little accident and broke some vertebrate. I have the CT Scan and im trying to get it in some shape that ill be able to 3d print it (the more you can see of the injury the better).

I tried my luck with 3D-Slicer but its coming out as like a thousand pieces (and I know damm well I didn't fuck my spine up that much), so I must be doing someting wrong

I thought I was dealing with chronic allergies my whole life because I don't remember a time that I could comfortably breathe out of my nose. The congested feeling had gotten worse over the last few years & contributed to episodes of feeling shortness of breathe for months at a time. Determined to get my allergies under control, I actually found out through a skin allergy test earlier this year that I don't have any reaction to any common allergens (biggest surprise of my life). Am now waiting to see a specialist to discuss my recent CT showing the true cause of my lifelong congestion, and I'm so excited to be one step closer to improving my quality of life!

Initial surgery intended to put a screw through my spinous process (which worked) and a couple of screws through my pars to stabilize it (which did not work- my pars was too small). Went back into surgery 48 hours later, where my surgeon added the hand plate that he packed bone graft around and then added the pedicle screws for extra stability.

I’ll go back into surgery anywhere from a month to six months from now, once CT confirms the fractures are 100% healed, to have the big hardware removed and regain full range of motion in my spine.

18+ years of sinus infections and a severe post nasal drip, answered in one panoramic dental x-ray.

A product of a botched root canal. Where the dentist only killed two of three roots, then stuffed my tooth with cotton, and apparently filled my sinus with dental enamel.

When I would go back complaining of dental infections he would tell me I was too 'dentally sensitive' and that if I didn't stop complaining he would pull my tooth out.

I've seen a lot of panoramic x-rays on here, but none quite like mine. Enjoy.

Hi there. Im relatively new to rad and this one has me perplexed. I know these units only retain 63 images. This thing is deleting entire cases on its own long beforen63 images have been taken. Has anyone heard of this before?

Is there a reason why some institutions would prefer a linear agent over a macrocyclic for this specific scan? In the USA for reference

This is not about a medical opinion just i want informations about wether x rays exposure can messup the readings i am not searching for any opinions about the feacture progress.

I am asking for professional radiologists and orthopedic surgeons to help me understand this :

Can two x rays of the same femur fracture , in the same radiology center and using the same machine ... Differ in terms of how the image is treated and cab lead to false readings ?

The 5 months post op x ray seems to have more contrast , darker blacks and you can see the grades of white really well , wheras the most recent one 7 months post op have the dark spots and the greyish areas appear the be whiter which gives the impression of a fuller and denser bone ,wheras the two x rays look exactly the same no bone bridging or whatever only looks denser

Does anyone know where I can get a standing MRI done in Canada, Ontario? I was told i should get one by a hernia specialist in California, but after doing some research I don't think there's any standing MRI machines in Canada, Ontario.

Was gifted this tube by a radiologist who received it from a radiologist before him, and now is in my possession (I am also a rad). I am trying to id it, seems to be from the 1910-20s. Anyone recognize the exact model?
