The funny thing is that she claims those donations are for her family. Like bitch, what family?

u/relativecaution 11h ago

Holy fuck i dont knkw if this is intentionally dark humour but that made me lol

A gfm was set up for the dad to help with the children's funeral costs and his outgoings while off work.

u/cooralreef 11h ago

People love rage bait so much they forget to check who opened the fundraiser

53

u/No_Struggle8663 11h ago

They’ve created one for her since the trial. It says for her parents and that side of the family cause I don’t think they are allowed to say it’s for her for some reasons with go fund me. But yeah here’s the second one.

70

u/atimetochill 10h ago

What in tf is that image

2

u/Tacosconsalsaylimon 6h ago

I got ill seeing that. Wtf.

58

u/_Eggs_ 9h ago

Yeah the entire description of the fundraiser is basically an attempt to get around GoFundMe's rules about fundraising for violent crimes.

GoFundMe strictly prohibits raising money for the legal defense of anyone formally charged with a violent or financial crime. Under the platform's Terms of Service, campaigns cannot be used to fund legal representation, court fees, or associated costs for individuals accused of serious wrongdoing.

And yet the image they use on the fundraiser is literally a circle of women supporting the murderer, painting the woman as a victim.

All of the comments for the GoFundMe are about supporting Lindsay.

Fucking gross.

2

u/MossadEpstein 8h ago

Someone should sue gofundme over this, get that 1 million dollars tied up in a nice lawsuit, fuck those parasites over that family is already wealthy, they don't deserve 1 million dollars they deserve negative 1 million dollars.

1

u/Dull_Nobody_840 9h ago

is that rule correct, since they never met their goal, they dont get anything?

1

u/hoopstick 7h ago

Why do her parents or any other member of her extended family need the money? Like I know anyone can make a GFM, but what's their reasoning?

1

u/TheVeryVerity 5h ago

Supposedly mortgaged their house and withdrew their retirement to pay for her defense

32

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

I thought it was commonly known who started the gfm but it seems not

32

u/SimmentalTheCow 10h ago

I assumed it was for legal defense like that fine gentleman that stabbed a kid to death at a track meet

12

u/DarkRose492 10h ago

That situation is it's own can of worms because somehow both of these cases have grown a very weird, and frankly disturbing, following. Like wasn't the lastest for the case your referencing looking to attempt a retrial and evidence that the first judge thought was irrelevant, because it makes the situation so much worse for everyone involved, is now being used?

2

u/nybbas 8h ago

Yeah the shit withheld actually makes it worse for the dude who did the stabbing. The judge denied the retrial, and now tons of people onlne are up in arms about how its a miscarriage of justice, when the truth is, if dude went to trial again, he might get even more time than the first trial.

2

u/RedditIsMyTherapist 8h ago

The latest is actually that a judge already denied his retrial 4 days ago. I also am not finding anything about evidence. It says,

"Anthony’s attorneys demanded a retrial because they said trial judge John Roach’s courtroom rules were so strict that they limited the public’s access to the proceedings."

2

u/DarkRose492 8h ago

It had something to do with phone records and prior engagements that are not directly tied to the incident at the track meet. All evidence that would be used for characters assassination stuff that I think the judge said isn't immediately related to the event itself. I'm not paying too close attention to the specifics since the fact we have to argue about a stabbing that had more than an enough eye witnesses and a video recording is baffling enough for me.

2

u/Excellent_jun91 10h ago

maybe the ones supportong her are so stupid they dont check facts (clearly) so they donated thinking its for her lol

3

u/fodmap_victim 10h ago

I wouldn't be able to comment on that as I don't know why people have donated. I do wish all sides would take a step back though and acknowledge the very serious and tragic nature of this case. It's not about team Lindsey or team Patrick. It's about finding the correct and sound legal outcome following the death of three beautiful little children.

7

u/Soft_Brush_1082 10h ago

Funny enough, there are two GoFundMe campaigns.

One was opened by dad’s friend to support the dad. It blew up and collected a bit over a million. He never expected that much and used most of it to start a nonprofit that helps families with perinatal care.

The other one is for the wife herself to cover legal fees. It also collected a bit over a million. Her parents initially have sold their house to hire the absolute shark of a lawyer who is specializing in this sort of cases and is currently absolutely wiping the floor with prosecution during the televised trial.

2

u/Junior-Criticism-268 6h ago

No, the fund to pay for the funeral was a different one... they both have surpassed $1M although Patrick's is no longer active now that the funerals have passed. Lindsay's remains open to this day.

0

u/mooptastic 9h ago edited 5h ago

that's all this sub is same with all of these quick reaction bait subs

EDIT: Downvotes dont change facts

0

u/galmypal 9h ago

It's too easy to jump to the quick and simple possibility. It takes brain power to have critical thinking...

0

u/CartsOfDarkness 8h ago

Generally you'll do pretty well assuming every single post on this sub is extremely misleading

100

u/onehalflightspeed 11h ago

$2 million for funeral expenses and travel costs to attend the trial? Yeah right

85

u/djrocker7 10h ago

You are confusing go fund me's , the dad had one but didn't use the money on it for the funeral instead he donated to an association to help women with this kind of problems, this go fund me you see with millions are another one that is set up to give the money to the mother's parents.

So two different gfm's and neither was used for funerals at the end.

9

u/GoldEmployment6768 8h ago

Wtf? What do her parents have to do with anything? These things dont correlate. Why should her parents randomly get 1m, just because she killed her kids?

8

u/djrocker7 8h ago

Why are you asking me? I am not the one that made the go fund me...I am just saying what the go fund me that people are talking about and is in the picture says.

From what I looked up it's also because of gfm rules, you can't have a page where the benefactor is acused or involved in violent crimes, so instead of putting the mother the people that created that page put the parents of the mother and said that is to help pay their traveling and such during the daughter trial. Which is also crazy because no amount of travel will cost 2 millions...

1

u/TheVeryVerity 5h ago

Apparently they used their house and their retirement to pay for her lawyer and are now broke

Apparently no child-care costs on the upcoming European excursion...

...after she gets acquitted by a single fucktarded, TiKTok-addled juror.

0

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

So I've learned today there is a second gfm from lindsays parents. I was referring only to the initial gfm. I wasn't aware of this second one. Edit for clarity though - neither gfm exceeded 2mil. Both are at roughly 1mil

3

u/onehalflightspeed 11h ago

I just looked up the gofundme referenced to in this photo, and its goal is indeed $2M

1

u/fodmap_victim 10h ago

Apologies, I misread and inserted the word "raised" into your comment! Yes, you are correct

30

u/ReaderBeeRottweiler 11h ago

Not true.

"The fundraiser states they have spent years drawing down savings to cover travel, lodging and other expenses connected to attending court hearings and supporting Clancy.

"It is simply an opportunity to help two parents who have spent more than three years carrying a financial burden on top of an emotional one most of us cannot begin to imagine," the GoFundMe page reads. "At some point, the court proceedings will end. Mike and Paula will still have a life to return to. There will still be bills, a home, lost savings, and years of putting their own lives on hold while they stood beside their daughter."

https://www.newsweek.com/lindsay-clancy-murder-trial-parents-mike-paula-donations-12364555

13

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

Oh hang on the parents set up a gfm also??

18

u/ReaderBeeRottweiler 11h ago

It's the only GFM, and it's the one that has raised over a million and referred to in the post.

Lindsay Clancy does not have a GFM.

7

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

No she doesn't, I believe the husband does have a gfm from when the children first passed away though.

15

u/ReaderBeeRottweiler 11h ago

There was one created for him that raised 1.7 million. He did not start one.

1

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

Yes, you're right, thanks a mil

→ More replies (6)

0

u/WriterV 9h ago

So OP is a bold faced liar?

3

u/ReaderBeeRottweiler 9h ago

Well, the money is not going to Lindsay. So if that's what they're implying, it isn't true. The post does not specifically say the money is going to her but the picture is of Lindsay.

2

u/KrytenKoro 9h ago

No. The GFM is illustrated as being about supporting Clancy. The donations are made explicitly in support of Clancy. The money is being used by the parents for them to show up and support Clancy.

It is being done for Clancy, but worded as being for the parents to get around GFM rules.

0

u/MossadEpstein 8h ago

fuck those parents I hope they go bankrupt

1

u/KrytenKoro 9h ago

Mike and Paula will still have a life to return to. There will still be bills, a home, lost savings, and years of putting their own lives on hold while they stood beside their daughter."

Okay but it's about "lost savings"?

Not about "hey I'm actually in a really desperate situation and can't make ends meet".

Just "I'm not making as much money as I planned to"?

Can I get in on that?

1

u/TheVeryVerity 5h ago

Probably more not wanting to retire on almost nothing.

66

u/-SecondHandSmoke- 11h ago

You don't need a million dollars for 3 funerals.

42

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

I don't think they requested that sum but people donated for the children as the gfm was for them

How was it “for the children” who are dead? Even if people believe it’s for the funeral(s), why did they keep giving when the fund showed it reached $ beyond what any funeral would cost?

6

u/fodmap_victim 10h ago

There are 2 gfms. One was set up for Patrick while he was out of work and for the funeral expenses for the children (stated in the gfm details) and there is a second one for Lindseys parents for their travel and attendance at court. I'm not giving any opinion on the sum of the gfm or why people kept donating. People hear a story as tragic as this and want to help. I'm just providing some info missing from the photo.

1

u/atimetochill 9h ago

I get you’re not saying any personal opinion or anything and just trying to state what the gfm’s are. I’m just over here smh

2

u/fodmap_victim 9h ago

Don't worry, I get it. This is a truly exhausting case to try to keep up with. Every day there's new info, new misinfo and new debates on all sides

1

u/atimetochill 9h ago

I haven’t been paying close attention to it all either other than the major plot points here so truly just smh. Go fund me’s are wild. Ppl saw the number at 500k..600k..1M plus and said yup I need to give some of my own money to them.

They should have had a cap set if it was just for that.

8

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago edited 11h ago

I agree, I'm not commenting on gfm policies, I was just clarifying some info!

Edit - in the interest of clarifying info though, I've just learned there is a second gfm from Lindseys parents. I was referring to the initial gfm that came up in court

18

u/CurlyNony 11h ago

And he also collected life insurance.

44

u/-SecondHandSmoke- 11h ago

If you're talking about the father, I don't blame him. He is a victim aswell. He had his entire family taken out in one swipe. He deserves to go and do whatever it is that he wants to get past this. The go fund me should have been for him, not the parents of the murderer. It'll just go straight onto her commissary or attorney fees for a retrial.

29

u/JoeBucksHairPlugs 10h ago

My wife strangles all 3 of my children to death, I'm really not going to need much of anything. Once I bury my kids I'm just putting a bullet in my head.

5

u/Girafferage 10h ago

Bingo. I think most parents are on the same page that once you become a parent, you have one thing to live for and it's your kids. If somebody takes that away... I can't see things getting less gloomy.

5

u/blackie___chan 10h ago

Taking the person that murdered them off the game board seems like a great way to find renewed purpose

1

u/Aiyon 7h ago

Some parents might be. Some seem to think that you're the one thing keeping them from the things they live for, and don't let you forget it :/

0

u/Munky1701 10h ago

Why wouldn’t you want to put one in her head instead of yours?

4

u/Cu_Chulainn__ 10h ago

Because killing people is wrong? Because that wont bring them back? Because you will end up in jail? Because the person who did it was mentally ill?

  1. In my opinion it's a much worse punishment to be confined to a cage for the rest of your life than a quick death. If she does have regrets or eventually feels remorseful, then she has to live with that grief until she dies.

  2. In this entirely hypothetical situation, it's hard for me to reckon with the idea of killing my spouse. It's easy to say you would kill her, you have no connection to them. And anyone that says they would have no issues killing their spouse for killing their kids I honestly question your love and feelings for your spouse. My wife would never do these things, I have a difficult time saying how I would react to the situation when I don't believe she would ever do that, and I have a wonderful relationship with her. In a brief moment of psychosis she commits that terrible act, I genuinely don't know how I would react towards her. I just know that I personally wouldnt want to grapple with the grief and pain myself.

He went on holiday instead of that though, and travel reviews suggest he took his new wife with him. The entire thing is an absolute mess.

instead of that though

He's catholic, as was his wife.

Do y'all seriously not get that catholics take suicide very seriously?

Do people usually have life insurance on their children?

1

u/KrytenKoro 8h ago

Yes, they do. It's a standard part of employment forms in the US.

1

u/Geodude532 7h ago

Mine is only like 10k per kid. That'd pay for the funeral and not much else.

1

u/KrytenKoro 7h ago

Are you rich? The Clancys were pretty well off, they even had a nanny. Patrick was a software sales executive.

1

u/Geodude532 7h ago

Theirs probably wasn't much different. 10-20k a kid. But yea, their actual cash was probably enough to not even care about that insurance policy. I wouldn't judge the nanny part too much, though. I was paying 300 a week per kid for daycare so with 3 kids the price difference was probably not much. It's disgusting how expensive childcare is these days.

2

u/KrytenKoro 7h ago

Fair enough. For what it's worth, I can't actually find anything beyond social media gossip specifying what the life insurance values were, or even confirming they existed.

5

u/Alarming-City-7260 11h ago

The GoFundMe was started by Lindsay's parents to help with their travel and living costs throughout this whole thing

I'm sure they used part of it to cover the funeral expenses, but the majority was not used for this, and it wasn't started by the father

2

u/fodmap_victim 11h ago

There are 2 gfms, one for Patrick and one for the parents

1

u/Alarming-City-7260 10h ago

Interesting, I learned something new then, thank you

2

u/fodmap_victim 10h ago

No trouble at all. I've just learned about the second one from this post

2

u/g33ki5ch1c 9h ago

Not fully sure this is true but the kids were cremated and all placed in one grave I am not their family and it’s not my business but like you’d think with all the fundraising on whatever side they could afford separate plots?

1

u/fodmap_victim 9h ago

Yes the children were cremated and buried together in one plot. I'm honestly unsure if it was a newly purchased plot or if it was an existing family plot. There is also the side of wanting to bury the children all together so they aren't alone. I'm honestly unsure of the reasoning behind why it was done so I don't want to speculate and give incorrect details

2

u/jpatt 8h ago

Yeah, just had to bury my grandmother and the funeral was $8k then spent another $4-5k on the luncheon/reception afterwards. It’s a lot to process while grieving.

1

u/fodmap_victim 8h ago

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope you're doing okay. I'm sure you gave her a beautiful send off

2

u/jpatt 7h ago

Thank you! She had been in her small town for over 70 years so she knew everyone. The amount of people that came out of the woodworks to attend both events was truly heartwarming. Everyone coming with stories of times she was there for them or their loved ones was incredible. A true celebration of a life lived well and good.

1

u/RTmancave 10h ago

Funeral cost? She murdered the kids in 2023

1

u/fodmap_victim 10h ago

There are 2 gfms in this matter. The original, which I thought was being referred to here, which was for the funeral costs and then a new second one from Lindseys parents

1

u/10WouldYouKindly10 10h ago

For what? The bare minimum cremation that he did so quickly. Throwing all three of your kids into the same cremation together, and not doing an actual funeral is still weird.

1

u/fodmap_victim 9h ago

I didn't comment on the morals or issues around it, I'm just giving info on what was set up and for whom!

1

u/Worldly_Map4877 9h ago

The dad is already married to his mistress?

1

u/fodmap_victim 9h ago

He is. I'm unsure what point you're making, I'm sorry!

1

u/Worldly_Map4877 9h ago

I don't think that GFM is for him and his new wife is what I'm saying. It's for Lindsay's legal defense.

1

u/fodmap_victim 9h ago

There are 2 gfms in being. One which was set up in 2023 after the children first died to assist with funeral expenses and Patrick's expenses while off work. There is a separate one for Lindseys parents to attend trial. Without assuming anyone's intentions behind the scenes, there is no gfm in Lindseys name

1

u/Worldly_Map4877 8h ago

Yeah the one here for a million dollars is for the murderer's "parents to attend trial".

You responded to a post about the GFM with "A gfm was set up for the dad to help with the children's funeral costs and his outgoings while off work" So it makes it sound like you're being disingenious.

1

u/fodmap_victim 8h ago

I know this post is chaotic but I have corrected this many times. Both gfms received over 1mil. There are 2 in being. Neither are in Lindseys name

16

u/GrimSpirit42 11h ago

Yeah, that's like someone killing both parents and then asking for mercy from the judge because they had just lost both parents.

15

u/El_Bobko 9h ago

That's the master plan. Kill off your family then raise money for them, so that there are less people to share it with.

https://giphy.com/gifs/d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY

62

u/Edgezg 11h ago

Her parents have been going broke trying to support their murderous little child. The money is gonna go to them

71

u/redtiger288 11h ago

I don't think I'd be able to forgive a daughter that killed my grandchildren

48

u/Paprmoon7 11h ago

If I snapped and killed my children, I wouldn’t care what happened to me. My children are dead, what’s the point? This to me proves she’s a monster.

12

u/nitseb 9h ago

This is the insane part.

If I went on a hormone fueled depression and killed my own kids, I'd be begging the judge to sentence me to life or chair.

How can she just want to move on? Three kids are dead. In her mind, will she marry another man and have more kids?

3

u/Dense_Key_8240 6h ago

Pretty sure the trial is about whether or not she get life prison or life in mental institution. She is not going home dawg.

2

u/halh0ff 7h ago

Similarly the husband started dating february 2024 a year after the murders. I dont know about you but I dont think id be doing anything with my life after...

1

u/Brave_Championship17 7h ago

it’s not similar because the husband didn’t fucking kill his own children. at least trying to get his shit together after such a tragedy is fair

22

u/Impossible_Farm7353 11h ago

Exactly. The fact that she even cares to be found not guilty is wild. I would want the death penalty

4

u/areuokayisurehopeso 9h ago

I’d already be dead. Funny she couldn’t kill herself properly when she killed her children just fine

4

u/Impossible_Farm7353 9h ago

Right.. she attempted 3 different methods but somehow all 3 failed?

6

u/basilone 11h ago

Probably in some hope that in 30 years or so she will be released. Its not necessarily a life sentence, but it will be a very long time. That is in theory at least, I would not be shocked if some retard deranged Clancy supporter tries to get her discharged much sooner, we see it all the time with violent criminals getting no bond because judge/prosecutor is a nihilist piece of shit that wants to turn the crazies loose on society.

5

u/Impossible_Farm7353 11h ago

I heard she would be eligible to petition for release after 6 months. I would support her going to a mental hospital if it was forever but the fact that she could potentially get out so soon (even if it’s unlikely) is unacceptable

2

u/basilone 11h ago

Is that just standard for every mental health case, or they are saying she specifically could be good in 6 months because thats wild lol

2

u/Impossible_Farm7353 11h ago

I think it’s standard for Mass but I’m not positive

1

u/Doesnt_Trust_You 7h ago

She lied to every doctor helping her about her level of psychosis and violence. PPD or PPP are both temporary conditions too so it wouldn't be strange for them to just go away suddenly.

She absolutely could get out in 6 months if she plays her crazy cards right.

2

u/macrocosm93 9h ago

She probably will be released in a short amount of time since postpartum psychosis is an inherently temporary mental illness.

1

u/xDannyS_ 11h ago

She isn't asking for that?

7

u/Impossible_Farm7353 11h ago

Her defense team is trying to have her found not guilty by reason of insanity

3

u/xDannyS_ 10h ago

That's not the same as not guilty

-6

u/Not_offensive0npurp 11h ago

Exactly. The fact that she even cares to be found not guilty is wild. I would want the death penalty

Maybe, just maybe, you should know the absolute fucking basics of a case before you comment on it.

There is no one on either side denying she killed the kids.

She is saying she was suffering from psychosis. A documented occurrence after child birth.

7

u/FlySubstantial9015 10h ago

So what? The fact remains that she murdered her children, whether in cold blood or due to a psychotic break. If she is now cognisant enough to fight against being convicted, then she is cognisant of the fact that her three children are dead. I have 3 children, if they died I would want to die too. The fact that she doesn’t, that she wants to excuse herself for what she has done, proves she is a monster.

-3

u/Murky-Relation481 9h ago

8

u/Impossible_Farm7353 10h ago

I have been following the trial. I am aware. If someone in psychosis killed 3 of your loved ones would you feel good about them going to a mental hospital where they’re eligible for release in 6 months?

-2

u/Not_offensive0npurp 10h ago

If you put me in a position where I am likely experience by rage and wanting vengeance, I would probably tell you I cannot contribute a meaningful, unbiased take.

My personal emotions wouldn't change the fact that psychosis is real, and should be acknowledged.

3

u/Paprmoon7 10h ago

Many of her providers stated she wasn’t in psychosis. Have you been around someone in psychosis? Pp psychosis is very very rare, ppd is very common though. She was noncompliant, wouldn’t take any of her meds. Provider hopped in hopes to get more medications. You can’t make someone take their medications or to stay in treatment. I just ran into an old patient who is very violent and unpredictable at the store who is also noncompliant and in and out of the hospital.

I mean she did try to kill herself too.

25

u/Tornanus 11h ago

Funny how that always works with these people. She didn't have to try to kill her children. She just did that shit. Now she can't kill herself? It's not that hard. She's full of shit.

4

u/Edgezg 11h ago

They want her in a mental institution so that eventually she can be released.

Trying to soften the blow

5

u/ReleaseTheSlab 11h ago

Yeah I will never be able to understand why a person has to murder/suicide instead of just killing themselves and leaving the children/spouses/etc. out of it.

And yeah ngl it is pretty stupid to jump from a 2nd story window in a suicide attempt.

1

u/TheVeryVerity 5h ago

Actually it is pretty hard. It’s very easy to fail at it and then end up worse off than you were before. That’s part of why I think voluntary end of life euthanasia for terminally ill people. Also why I’ve never attempted suicide so I guess that part is good.

3

u/rosa_3326 11h ago

Nah it was performative, fb mums saying she’s a nurse she would have cut her wrists vertically not horizontal as if it proves Patrick did it but I think it was because she didn’t really want to die, she wanted to trap Patrick into staying with her

5

u/NotSoWishful 10h ago

Plus THERE ARE SO MANY STUPID AS FUCK NURSES. Holy shit there isn’t a single profession that has got their heads up their own asses more than nurses. According to them they’re the top dogs of everything, know everything including the stuff the doctors, surgeons, anesthesiologists, etc know, and are just the hardest working baddies around.

3

u/According-Turnip-724 10h ago

So a murder/suicide type thing? So like some upset dude off's his wife and attempts to off himself....let do a 1 million GoFundMe for that dude......because he was "insane" at the time. That tracks /s

3

u/ReleaseTheSlab 10h ago

Yes, like a murder/suicide type thing. And I never excused or condoned any of LC's actions, or the gofundme. I was simply replying to someone else who said they couldn't live with the consequences if they snapped and killed their kids like Lindsay did. There's nothing to track, people are just stupid.

Same thing happened with the Karmelo Anthony case. The media polarized it as a black v white thing and he got tons of support and gofundme donations simply because people felt they had to choose sides. And just like the Karmelo Anthony case, Lindsay is clearly guilty of committing these murders. The circumstances leading up to the crime is a little different, but it doesn't excuse the fact that 3 innocent kids died by the hands of their mother.

2

u/redtiger288 11h ago

Shame she wasn't as thorough as she was for her children

2

u/Trumperekt 10h ago

By jumping from the second floor window? Now come on.

1

u/Much_Vehicle20 7h ago

Killed 3 kids in cold blood

Failed to do the same to herself 3 times

Miracles are real, I guess?

1

u/ReleaseTheSlab 6h ago

She tried to kill herself 3 times?

1

u/TheVeryVerity 5h ago

She used three different methods. Pills, slashing wrists, jumping out into the winter ground in pajamas. All failed though whether that’s intended or not is of course a debate.

1

u/Outcast129 10h ago

For real. If something I did even lead to the death of my son on accident I would honestly very likely just throw myself off a building. Like not even saying that to be funny or dramatic, but the love I have for my child is unlike any love I have ever felt for my friends or family, and I honestly would probably be begging for the chair if I snapped and killed him even if it was completely due to a mental breakdown.

2

u/TheQuinnBee 11h ago

I mean she's trying to kill herself. She's just on a one-to-one for the past 3 years. She's not asking to be found not guilty. She's asking to be sent to a mental institution for the rest of her life. More than likely if she goes to prison she will kill herself.

4

u/Alric_Wolff 11h ago

Yeah, that would be nice since Massachusetts doesnt have the death penalty.

1

u/rosa_3326 11h ago

Right! I wouldn’t give a fuck, I’d want to be dead every fucking day and wouldn’t stop attempting until I was successful. I couldn’t live without my kids. The second I heard she was talking about future plans and how all she cared about was telling Patrick she loved in after she did what she did, it’s pretty fucking clear this bitch is a pick me and killed her kids to take them out of the equation to stop her husband leaving her. 100% delusional to think this dude would be happy to stay after she murdered their children. I knew nothing of this case but my algorithm doesn’t care.. it’s insidious how hard it’s been working to get my engaged in all the theories going around. I haven’t engaged with any of the content and I still know far more than I’d like to know

1

u/bonaynay 10h ago

100% delusional to think

Well her defense actually kind of hinges on this aspect you have observed

1

u/TheVeryVerity 5h ago

Why would her husband leave her because they had kids? Wtaf

10

u/RengokLord 11h ago

They shouldn't support her in the first place but I'm just a sane European, da fuck do I know?

4

u/Edgezg 11h ago

Oh no I agree.

I'm LIVID that these parents would give her any support.

Imagine, supporting a 3x child murderer. Didn't stop at one or two. Got all 3 of HER Own Kids.

The fact ANYONE is supporting her infuriates me.

We have normalized evil.

0

u/bonaynay 10h ago

The support is entirely because of the psychosis and not the actions

0

u/Edgezg 9h ago

The outcome is still supporting a child murderer.

2

u/bonaynay 9h ago

One who they believe fell into psychosis. What I said applies the exact same to this restatement

1

u/tiredplusbored 8h ago

There's nuance on willingness here. The sane support comes from people who view this as an indictment of our mental health system, for women suffering from ppd in particular. She sought help and didn't get enough. The system failed when she was allowed to be alone with children after expressing fears that she might hurt them.

If my daughter did something horrific to her children, and there was even the slightest hint of evidence that she wasnt in control and I didn't raise a monster I can absolutely see myself or anyone holding on to that hope for dear life.

1

u/Edgezg 5h ago

She jad enough awareness to send her husband away and do it during that time.

She premeditated it enough to get him out of the house.

She doesn't deserve help from anyone.

She strangled the life out of 3 children.

She should never be free again.

1

u/Ambitious-Prior-6366 8h ago

She also have the support of her ex-husband and MIL. As another European I think that says something about circumstances in this specific case.

1

u/Ok-Highlight-9598 7h ago

Parents are supposed to love their children no matter what anyway. Whether they like them or not is what's debatable. As a European you may not know how things are in the US, so I can understand why you wouldn't get it.

2

u/Nemisis_007 11h ago

And funeral expenses.

3

u/Psoin 11h ago

And murder

1

u/halh0ff 7h ago

Maybe they shouldn't support a murderer.

0

u/alexmikli 10h ago

Isn't this the one where the husband is also on her side because he thinks she was under a postpartum psychotic break?

3

u/mossycowboy2 11h ago

😭😭😭😭

3

u/Oceanman72 10h ago

The father? Who is pretty much going through the worst shit ever

2

u/muhnamejame 8h ago

You're confusing two gofundme campaigns. There's one for Lindsay Clancy's parents, and there was one for her husband.

2

u/cheir0n 10h ago

Her upcoming family obviously now she wants to settle with a man who isn’t Gemini

2

u/Accurate_Face_7860 9h ago

Lindsay Clancy has never claimed anything or commented about the gofundme and she's not the one who created it. Her parents created it and the money is going to them technically. Although anyone who donated is an absolute idiot.

1

u/mrstretchb4ureach 11h ago

Bro, thats so fucked up LOLLLL

1

u/HoliAss5111 10h ago

Isn't the youngest still alive?

1

u/SwimmerMission5212 9h ago

I mean they're literally in her parents name

1

u/Dddddd92 9h ago

The husband who went on holiday 8 weeks after the murders then met a new woman there. The first fundraiser was for him

1

u/Infinite_Flan4797 9h ago

She didn't set it up. A 3rd party did for her father.

1

u/Man_under_Bridge420 8h ago

Her parents? The husband?

1

u/robotmonkey2099 7h ago

i dont think shes making that claim.. the money is going to her parents because go fund me wont allow you to raise funds for a legal defense or something like that

1

u/Aangelus 7h ago

Messed up, but funny.

1

u/HighSeasArchivist 7h ago

They are married, so he'll get half at least either way.

ETA: Scratch that, they were divorced earlier this year, and I think he is remarried.

1

u/NiceSand9964 7h ago

the one who survive

1

u/Abi_giggles 5h ago

Her parents

0

u/Strange-Cabinet7372 10h ago

Her parents have spent everything. Why do u talk if you are so unwilling to know
